I'm taking a 'self-taught' online course for applied and that first example was very helpful! i was really confused on a maximum price question and your explanation cleared it up!
Well, the little 100/1000 mix-up aside, this video made the concept really easy to understand. Thank you! You should be in both the boat ticket and math video business.
Am so happpppy that finally the last concept in my to do list has been finalized in this vd. now am confident that i woooont fail my upcoming test on Tuesday . thanks for making thid vd
Do you have any videos on more words problems? I really need help with some grade 11 pre cal stuff. Thanks, you're one of the only youtubers I understood learning about word problems.
thanksI was very confused as to what to do for this and I found this video purely by chance, may I suggest you create a more detailed plan in advance to making your videos, mainly because you make a lot of mental math mistakes and maybe get a better mic
Thank you teacher from the Russian mom. I am trying to help my 11 grade son with the similar word problem. I used to be good in this. But 30 years ago. And It was in Russian language. So I have to shake my memory and translate everything in English. Oh boy! Looks like I am still ok. Me and my son solved the problem in two ways. Both times the X vertex is negative. In our case X is amount of weeks, and Y vertex is profit. How come the amount of weeks can be negative?
It’s less work to find the axis of symmetry in the middle of the two x intercepts… converting to standard form and then using the equation is not as meaning full, it’s more work and it removes the need for understanding the relationships between quadratic features…😢
Example 1: Revenue is 2000, Price is 20, and Tickets sold is 100 not 1000
Darius Hatcher thanks that helps a lot i was so confused.

I was struggling with this type of problems for so long, but after i've watched 3 minutes of your video I finally got it. Thank you so much!
the 24 people who disliked this video is probably the jerk students who don't watch this guy's videos
When he said, “my own students never watch my videos😂”
This helped me so much!! You're doing good work this was explained so well
SO HELPFUL thank you!! From 2024 math
Mr Barnes just saved me. Thank you sir.
You saved my life thank you so much
the first problem should have 2000 where you have 20000.
I listened to you! Hi from Texas in 2020

Thank you, it was very informational
U made a mistake on the first one, the 50+5(10) is 100, not 1000
You could also take the derivative to solve for n
I got 2000 as revenue on the first problem
666th like but I still feel lucky for finding this video!
life saver
Thanks

Can the n be negative!!!?
Not for these examples.
@@mathwithmrbarnes I mean in general !?
i love you
#sold is not equal to 1000, it should only be 100, because 50+5(10) = 100 not 1000, therefore the max. revenue should only be 2000.
Youre handwriting is so hard to read
Ok cool
Ig u just don’t know how to read cuz that’s pretty easy
Thanks
