What I loved about this episode is that Raven was taught a lesson. Before even getting to know him, she judged him when he genuinely had feelings for her and once his look was changed, Raven wanted to be more than friends. This is why the saying goes "never judge a book by its cover"
I felt that was a big problem with Disney shows-they portray a message that looks are the only thing that matters. Raven didn’t like Tyler because of his looks. But then when he got a makeover and she saw how handsome he was, suddenly she wanted him. Nothing to do with his personality, only his looks.
@@StealthMode3924 oh for sure! It is a big problem when they online think of looks and not personality. I do think that his character has genuine feelings and might’ve had a great personality which Raven didn’t consider
But I feel it was unnecessarily harsh on her not getting to be with him. Especially since he felt the same way. This show was a little too Aesop-heavy anyways.
@@furtadoalbum9679 I get what you mean, but in a sense, I feel like it was a lesson for her, yes, his feelings were genuine but for her she just wanted him for his new look and getting as one of the previous comments mentioned, his personality. Of course at the end of the day it is is Aesop-heavy.

This was honestly raven's fault. If she would got to know him before she told him just "friends", this would have never happend.
I know when I really thought about it and what could’ve been but oh well. Plus she has Devon anyways so it’s fine and he never returns after that episode so... 🤷🏽♀️

But can you blame her though she didn't know that the boy was going to turn out to be so fine then she realized her mistake which is kind of sad because he liked her a lot and he was going to choose her maybe even ask her to be his girlfriend but then after what Raven told him he ended up choosing Vicky

Honestly even if he didn’t end up with her I wouldn’t have cared as long as they brought him back.
Raven is so shallow for not liking Tyler just because of how we looked but straight after he was transformed by means of her makeover and she saw what a really good looking guy he was underneath his clothes and paint and all of that then she realized her epic mistake but you shouldn't like a person physically on how they look but who they are and I think that Raven only like Tyler when she saw how he looked physically as in really cute I think he ended up with the right person instead even though Vicky herself didn't like Tyler either up until his makeover

@@BiracialTanikaThat’s true. He didn’t even know how to properly groom himself. He was not ugly, but raven is definitely a chick who cares so much about how she presents herself physically mostly. So of course she was going to feel that way at first with him until he got a whole make over. Even the girl he got with (the one that’s not raven) didn’t even notice him until the make over. Lol

Raven didn't like Tyler she only started liking him because of how good-looking although in all honesty he was already good looking she was judging him based on his physical appearance when she saw how handsome and well-dressed he was bam she has a crush on him that's very shallow

i always found this episode a bit annoying. Cause Raven judged him solely on looks when he was dorky looking and said she just wanted to be friends, then when she learned he was actually really good looking she wanted more. It's weird that i feel sorry for him at the end but not so much her
He really did like her I mean he even made a drawing of Raven that was in his locker way before he even met someone and drew a picture of her he really liked Raven it was her he liked not Vicky but Raven just had to go and tell him that she wanted to be just friends

I just rewatched this episode on Disney+ & I remember gushing over Tyler even when I was 7 😅 I tried looking for how he looks now but no luck 💔 Also, I agree with the comments, this episode broke my heart. He was always so sweet and kind, even before the makeover. Raven just had to break it off before she even got to truly know him. It was all solely on looks and in the end he still wanted her 😭

To be honest I believe her and Tyler was a great match and they we’re meant to be but to be honest Raven did blow it because she judged his nerdy look then when they fixed him up and made him cooler, she was in love but that was her fault and he found Vicky. ITS SAD BUT YA GOTTA MOVE ON.

just saying it is so much you could do with this plot. so many different ways you could take it when you have chemistry like that with to actors, it pays to use it. no offense to Devon but this dude could actually act and had in a sense "love" for raven. This plot alone could've have given "That So Raven" some substance instead of the same old thing.
@@MsLeak18 I understand and I agree they should have done that. I'm sure they bump to each other every once and a while. They went to the same school, I'm sure they did. I wish they could have had a love triangle between raven, Devon, and tyler because Tyler was very sweet.
@@MsLeak18 but I think they didn't futher this relationship because it was a lesson in this episode. It taught us not to judge a book by its cover and not just go for looks. This episode basically taught us to love someone when their not their best because you would not deserve when they are at their best. But I do agree they should have further the chemistry
