One of the things I can appreciate about this show now I'm older the footage used when Raven has her visions isn't stock footage every shot is unique and directly tied into what she's doing at the time.
@@KidLamar1996 But in F Destination. The person with visions only get to have their visions once and then go off screaming and whinning. Telling their freiends that they're gonna die and they all die anyway lol Raven Seymone(?) here. Has visions that just keeps fucking going none stop. She'd become an Avenger with this power ffs🤣 She'd see a man die of a heart attack and convince that man to eat healthy immediately afterwards lol.
this was edited very well. it seems to be a higher quality than Disney Channel was airing. That show paid SUCH attention to detail & NOBODY could have been Raven except for Raven.
I honestly enjoy going through it frame by frame. Raven slightly pops off the background before the zoom in and then when it does zoom in there's always a slight rotation of her. Not to mention they add more shiny spots or add more emphasis to them on the close up of the eye. It's slick how there's usually no rough spots either, really plays out naturally like you're genuinely being flown into her eye.
it’s so iconic because it’s the only show with this type of technique and style it’s really dope when you look back like who came up witth the idea to have the camera spin and zoom in her eye everytime 😂 dope fr
Right?! Original af! I watched this live back in the 2000s and it was honestly the coolest part about the show in the first season. I use to think she was in some X-men shit. Lol
Refuge Leisure Ngl, I had to look that up, but I did end up playing TSR on a game boy years ago. I also played The Suite life on the Disney Channel website when they were running through the hotel as bobble heads lol. Good times.
I'm really curious as to how they filmed the close-ups. Like, did they just have the director yell, "VISION!" and everybody stops, Raven poses, and they slowly down this weird close-up of her face?
@@Link1205 oh okay... I think because it's in the script they improv a bit and raven freezes the camera slides around and zooms into the eye... then special effects.... camera zooms out and pans back around to it's original placement while the cast acts like their conversation or movement never stopped
It looks to me like they used a slow camera motion towards Raven, seperated her body from the background, and digitally spin-zoom the background, using lots of motion blur to distract from the weird angle switch and to hide the area where they removed her from the scene. Then they sped up the scene. Look at the vision at 0:53 on 0.25 speed, the camera angle change on her body is MUCH smaller than the angle change on the background. They physically moved the camera slightly when filming, digitally cut out Raven, made an artificial spin motion on the background and used tons of motionblur, so that the viewer won't notice that the background directly behind Raven does not exist (because she is standing in-front of it). And in some shots, it looked like the producers tried to make a 3D model out Raven's body to amplify the angle switch. Watch the vision at 0:17 at a slower speed, the bow on her hair looks fine, then it moves weirdly during the transition, and afterwards it morphes into what it's supposed to look like. Maybe they took a photo of her right before the vision, and right before they zoomed into her eye, and digitally created a 3D model from that. Nonetheless, I believe they use a very different technique on Raven's Home than they did back then. The effects on Raven's Home look more authentic. I think this time they actually use high speed cameras to physically spin-zoom onto Raven (Whereas the 2003 show uses digital effects to create the spin-zoom)
Does anyone notice how Raven always MAKES her visions come true after she sees them? For example, when she had a vision of her science project breaking, she immediately reacted and tried to save it and then it broke! It wouldn’t have broken if she hadn’t had that vision of it breaking 🤦🏻♂️
The Greek Pianist Yes! Haha. It’s funny because she always tries to prevent it from happening and as a result makes it happen. Some of her visions are more of warnings and things to prepare her or others, things that are inevitable. While others are things that she causes. It’s almost like her visions are like “you’re about to do something to cause this so don’t do it” and then she does it lol. In fact, I’m trying to recall if there are any visions that she actually stopped from coming true. Also, a lot of the times the visions are out of context. It’s just an all around fun time. Hahah
She can still alter it as you can see in Campaign in the neck, Chelsea only had 3 votes in her vision, but at the end of the episode she had around 97 or something
Sometimes her visions have worked though. Like that episode where Corey’s friend needed to find his pet bunny and Raven had a vision of him finding it under his pillow, so she told him to look there and he found it. And that crossover episode with the Suite Life when she had a vision that some girl on her cell phone was gonna fall. She told Zack and Cody to hold their arms out and it prevented the vision from happening. So yeah, her visions do screw her over for the most part, but they have their moments.
What's great is that I found myself many times watching the show and just enjoying the episode and i would forget about the visions until she had them. There were many episodes where she only had one vision or a vision that came very late in the episode because not all episodes were based on her being psychic as the focal point. But the show was so good that her being psychic was just like icing on the cake.
I loved the episodes she had multiple visions. One of the funniest that I can remember is when Chelsea broke her nail and then they put on repeat the ball hitting Raven on the school’s website. 😂😂😂
I love how they add a dramatic effect: ravens vision in a nutshell: *_oh no, some shit is gonna happen!_* After the vision: *_oh no, im not gonna screw the fk up_*
