Northern Canada, Israel, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Alaska, Hawaii, Antarctica, Russia, South Africa ect. Is there a place this band has never played?
This is one of coolest thing Metallica has done imo. I know they got paid but still for a band as huge as them to do a show there. I’m Canadian and I know these Inuit villages are very poor and have a lot of suicides because of depression and isolation. I bet this show made these people’s lives.
this is great. aside from the ignorance about the village name, i really enjoyed seeing metallica show some love to native people. a large percent of us really enjoy metallica. those kids saying lars is their uncle really had me laughing.. ♥️
I was working a Norman wells Northwest Territories (NWT) on the Rigs, but I was on 2 or 3 weeks off.Came back from Toronto ( home at the time) about 7000 km south. Landen at Inuvik Airport. Went to the Inn we had about a week to go back on the Rig. At the Inn we were told that Metallica playing Concerts up in Tuk. I was like Òh yeah I`m sure! C`mon Bullshit! Don`t forget Tuktoyaktuk had around 600 ppl for population, and Metallica regularly sold out Shows in Stadiums with 50--60 000 fans and up, all around the World! So for Metallica to show up in a Tiny Town like Tuk was unbelievable! Anyway our whole crew 8 of us drove up 150 km 2 hrs and met all the boys and Partied!!!! Great memories!!!
Cool story bro... but it never happened.... and here's why yer story is full of crap... 1. The all weather road between Tuk and Inuvik wasn't opened in 1995...they didn't even start the construction of it until 2013 and finished it in 2017 2. Ah but you'll say "Ice Road" ...while it's true there was an ice road between the two communities, it was only opened during the winter months.... this show happened in September of 1995, definitely no ice road. 3. If you were working in Norman Wells why did you fly into Inuvik from Toronto, there's no direct flights to Inuvik from Toronto, you would have flown from Yellowknife. Norman Wells is 500 kms south of Inuvik and has it's own Airport which has been around since the 1960s, so again, why did you fly all the way to Inuvik when you could have flown direct to Norman Wells..... So unless you and your imaginary crew drove ATV's 150 kms in 2 hours over the open tundra, crossing the McKenzie River and all the rest, yer story is bullshit.....you never partied with Metallica.... 🤣
I think Kirk stop bullying him after awhile. They were close. In fact Kirk was the first person who knew Jason was leaving the band. Apparently Jason told him first because he was the closest to him and knew he would taken it the hardest.
I heard James say that everyone bullied him in the beginning when he joined the band it was their way of coping to deal with Cliff's death but it does seem like Kirk really does care about Jason
