Your Mac likely has a built-in DAC (digital-to-analogue converter) that can handle audio output at 96KHz, which is quite good for most purposes. However, if you're looking for the best possible listening experience, especially for high-resolution audio or critical listening, an external DAC can provide even better sound quality and more advanced features. So, while your Mac's DAC is decent, an external DAC can be an excellent upgrade if you're an audiophile or have specific requirements for your audio setup.

Hey there! Congrats on the new phone. Ideally, using an external DAC can enhance your listening experience, but it's not a must-have right away. You can start by listening to the phone's output, and if you feel like it's not hitting the right notes for you, then you can consider getting a dedicated DAC. Keep the music playing!

So many videos and posts for instance on reddit defending it isn't needed a DAC to listen ti music with low impedance headphones or IEMs, even if they are audiophile headphones or IEMs. I own a AKG k371 and Moondrop Aria (entry-audiophile) and I never bought a DAC because everyone said to me it would be a waste of money. They sound good in my laptop and smartphone, but maybe I'm not using their full potential. Although I expect to buy more expensive headphones in the future, like Hifiman Sundara, right now I'll keep these headphones. Should I buy a DAC, like FIIO BTR15?

sir i have ifi go link dac purchase from your site and it is use in s24 ultra with apple music can you consider which headphone is best for them can i go for sony xm5 ?
The Sony XM5 is a wireless headphone. It wont really make sense to use it with a DAC. Wireless Headphones connect to your phone via Bluetooth which is a digital connection, and the DAC converts the digital to analog signal in the headphone itself. So an external DAC is quite pointless. We'd recommend going with a Wired Headphone. There are so many consider. In the same segment as a Sony XM5, the Meze 99 Classics is our top recommendation. It sounds superb along with the IFI Go Link. So that should be your best bet.

My phone is Hi-Res certified should i still need a DAC?
Or is it okay to use [KZ ZSN PRO X] with just a normal type C to 3.5mm adapter.
@@souravjoadder same question is mine🥱
Using an external DAC will always improve your listening experience.
Hi, I am here for your help.
I have Soundbar connected with TV eARC. But the wireless sub is not upto the mark when it comes to producing deep rumbling bass.
Not sure , but can i use a wired bigger sub alongside ?
My soundbar doesn't have any sub out port .
Can I use DAC to connect this wired sub with RCA to soundbar or TV ?
Not sure if i could replicate my thought .
If you understood then kindly help here .
Thanks
Hi bro..I have ordered a mobile that supports Hi Res Audio 24 bit/190kHz Do I need to get a DAC Convert to use this H Res Audio or the phone has a built in. DAC Conver? I am new to this bro can you help me!
Hey there! Congrats on the new phone. Ideally, using an external DAC can enhance your listening experience, but it's not a must-have right away. You can start by listening to the phone's output, and if you feel like it's not hitting the right notes for you, then you can consider getting a dedicated DAC. Keep the music playing!
Is your DDHIFI dac is compatible with iphone nd Ipad
Yes, it is.
Could you suggest a bidget Type C DAC to use with my Oneplus Phone and Apple Music as input
Hey there, you can go for the Shanling UA1s

Could you suggest a dac for iphone 14?
Hey there, you can go for the iFi Audio - GO Link.
Does the apple DAC handles the lossless format ? If yes, please respond.
Can we use dac for car,
Yes, you can use a DAC for your car audio setup. The simplest way is to take the output from the DAC using a 3.5mm cable and connect it to your car's audio system.
Hi. Do you have any recommendations on dacs that work with the samsung s23 ultra? Thank you 🙏
Since Samsung Devices have compatibility issues with Non Samsung Accessories, we can't say for sure. Your best would be to try a few options out.
I have a s24 ultra which has in built 32 bit something dac, just bought a croma type c to 3.5 mm. I am using a beyerdynamic dt 770 pro, will my heaphone use my mobiles dac or croma dac for converting. I am new to this with very minimum knowledge please help.
@abhisheknautiyal8877 i think it'll use the dac from the croma. But you'll still benefit from a good source dac.
Do i need a DAC for casual listening. I'm planning to buy an IEM
Buying a DAC and using a Hi-res music player like Apple or Amazon music will definitely increase the sound quality of the music you're listening to.
How to know my phone samsung a55 will support the DAC
Since Samsung devices have compatibility issues, your best bet would be to try a few DACs out.
Going to buy a dac very soon😁
Is SoundMagic E80c good enough for the LG Quad DAC phones??
How to download hi res audio in mobile
I have Claw SM50 Studio Monitors. Do I need a DAC?
We always recommend using a DAC for the highest quality music listening experience.
Sir please make review on final E3000 vs KZ zs10 pro ...which one should i choose ..i am a music lover and want to balance smoother sound with balance of crisp instruments .
Hey there, instead we'd recommend you go for the SIMGOT - EW200.
Incase of blutooth Adapter like KZ AZ15, how will be the sound quality compare to wired DAC? Pl advise
A wired setup always sounds better when compared to a wireless setup.
Hey there so im using a sony dvd player as a cd transport hooked up too some Edifier R98 bookshelf speakers and it sounds fantastic. However i was looking at getting a SMSL exteranal dac and hook it up threw the digital coaxial port from the dvd player. What difference will i hear in audio compared to what im hearing now?
It really depends on how good the DAC on your DVD Player is. The chances it the SMSL dedicated DAC should sound a lot nicer.
did u set your audio specifically as something that can show me the quality of my laptop and headphones?. because your video sounds robotic. Would the audio be better if i use DAC and nicer headphone?
We always recommend using a dedicated DAC for the highest quality music listening experience.
I have a Shanling ua1 that I bought when I had a OnePlus phone. i switched to an iPhone, is it possible to use that DAC with any type of converter on iPhone?
sir i have ifi go link dac purchase from your site and it is use in s24 ultra with apple music can you consider which headphone is best for them can i go for sony xm5 ?
The Sony XM5 is a wireless headphone. It wont really make sense to use it with a DAC. Wireless Headphones connect to your phone via Bluetooth which is a digital connection, and the DAC converts the digital to analog signal in the headphone itself. So an external DAC is quite pointless.
We'd recommend going with a Wired Headphone. There are so many consider. In the same segment as a Sony XM5, the Meze 99 Classics is our top recommendation. It sounds superb along with the IFI Go Link. So that should be your best bet.
I want something for movies and song but there so many things and i don't know how to start.
Hey there, you can start off with the Truthear - HOLA.
Hi Headphone Zone, I have Platronics Black Beat pro2 over the ear headphones, Samsung M33 phone and I use RUclips music service for music. Kindly suggest which DAC works well with this setup. Thanks. 🙏
You can enhance your audio experience with the iFi Audio GO Link DAC. It's a versatile choice that pairs with your headphones via the 3.5mm connection, offering improved sound quality for your RUclips music sessions. Keep the music playing! 🎶🎧
@@headphone_zone Thank you 👍
Does 1more piston fit (type c) has dac inbuilt or it's just a pass through, As the product page on your website says Hi-Res audio performance.
The 1MORE- Piston Fit does feature a DAC.
@@headphone_zone Thanks for the confirmation ❤️❤️

Sir please review Audiocular TP 30 pro, it's an excellent dac & amp for it's price, I'm confused between this & Fiio ka3 or Shanling ua2 plus. Please help me out. Thanks 😊
Hey there, we have not got our hands on the Audiocular TP 30 Pro but between the FiiO KA3 and Shanling UA2 Plus, the choice will depend on your preference. The KA3 is on the neutral side, and the UA2 Plus is a bit warmer.
@headphone_zone Thank you for your suggestion, Actually the TP 30 pro comes with same chip as the ka3 & ua2 plus, but in dual chip configuration, where ka3 & ua2 plus comes with only one. So is that going to be a big difference?
Thanks again Sir 😊
