Great trasditional approaches.Mirror blocking, two level attacks. What I most appreciate is defending against attack also from the side. Best regards. Paul.69
I adore the form but the application isn't correct. I believe that the correct application is reserved for the initiated monks and we only see "rubbish". One should use his fantasy to approach the real thing.
This is da tong bi quan (big penetrating arm boxing) , I see in a lot of the tong bei quan videos, even years back, in your archives, the big and smalll is mixed up, just pointing it out, hope you see this and fix it, because that can confuse a lot. Thanks for the great videos!! Amituofo!!
we already know that, and the reason for this naming is well-explained in the styles playlist, if you read it. to put it short, the small&big naming in Shaolin doesn't have a standard among different lineages. some call this big some call it small. big, because this is historically older than the other tong bi form, small, because this is smaller than the other tong bi form. this is already confusing. in this channel, we took a clear standardization and only consider size. so as, all smaller forms are called 'small' and the bigger ones are called 'big'. this is clear and understandable. for more detail, visit the styles playlist and read the description. 🙏🏻
it works. Learn Sanda then use the discrete moves in sparring. The kick catch is amazing. Actually, on second thought, don't use the groin attacks in sparring or soon you won't have anyone who wants to spar with you!
@@ShaolinTrainingShifu i think its meaningless to come in the position to grab hid leg like that and then to push it on the ground instead of lifting it up putting your whole body strength in it
@@angel007_gr4 the way I was taught the application of this kick catch at Shaolin was Sanda style. When he throws a round kick, step in sideways, left palm comes down and right palm comes up, grab leg tightly, spin right leg into his leg while leg dragging him to the mat
