@Dr.Kay_RWhy would China want to attack Malaysia? China is one of the largest foreign direct investors in Malaysia after Singapore. China will lose billions of their assets if they attack Malaysia. Also, Malaysia is a member of Five Power Defense Agreement (FPDA) which includes allies like the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

US media propaganda has so many believing China is looking to go to war. China is a threat to US hubris and evaporating hegemony and all US leaders can do is freak out and try lame attempts to punish China which will only backfire. The US is going to be left behind by wasting all it wealth popping up the arms industry.

Former PM of Malaysia , Mahathir Mohamad told WSJ in Sept , 2018 , " We have traded with China for nearly two
thousand years . China never conquered us. We have relations with Europe. The Portuguese came to Malaysia in 1509.
Two years later, they came and conquered us. So I always feel that I’m safer with China than with Western countries " .
Australia should have no problem with China as well , unless US Missiles were launched from ports in Australia .
It is advisable for Australia to pay for the nuclear submarine and keep it in US ports permanently .
Try to keep distance from the Warmongers !

For chip manufacturing, a high level of discipline is the key, and most Americans today don't possess it.
      They call it “forced labour"
Taiwanese media reported on August 2 that TSMC claimed the production holdup at its Arizona facility was caused by a shortage of trained American labour and that they had sent staff from Taiwan to assist with the factory's development. Labour union officials in Arizona, on the other hand, criticised TSMC for exploiting this as a justification to bring in "low-wage foreign labour."

    2. Historical Presence: Malaysia's journey began with Intel's first overseas factory in Penang in 1972. Its strategic location, cost-effective labor, and English-speaking workforce have made it an attractive destination for chipmaking ventures.
    3. Diplomatic Finesse: Malaysia's "active neutrality" policy allows it to maintain friendly relations with both superpowers, positioning itself as a safe haven for chip manufacturing amidst escalating tensions.

As a Malaysian, even though im just a janitor who cleans the factory, i am proud that till today, i saw many talented new engineers in this industry. Now, most giant semicon company has aligned themselves with local university. They will conduct special course in chip assembly and testing. The course will be taught by the enginneers themselves. I've noticed that you get jealous and bitter when other countries achieve feats that India can only dream of (China comes to mind) or when they get enviable opportunities India wish for ( as in this Malaysian case). Your closing remarks suggest that you wish Malaysia derail from this enviable trajectory it's on . How delusional can you get !!!!.
.......And you and your team should do proper research and get the facts right before coming to whine on here, your report is riddled with blunders. It shows you know very little to nothing about what you report on.

It is good news for Malaysia but we might have another problem which is high skilled labor shortage that could be an issue..
More and more of our younger generation prefer geek economy and setting their ambition as youtuber, KOL, content creator etc. Food delivery riders, e-hailing drivers are everywhere. Science and Math no longer interest them..
And with our PISA scores are getting lower than our neighboring countries like Vietnam. Other countries have move on while we are still debating whether Science and Math should be taught in BM or English.. I foresee that the country would likely to import high skill workers from other countries like India, China, the middle east. This phenomenal is already happening in our local IT industry..
We allow foreign chip makers to setup their plant here but benefitting foreign talents..

That's why our govt is stepping up the game on TVET but it will take time for the programme to increase the number of technologically savvy workers. Companies r also roped in to work with universities to train Stem graduates. In a year or 2, well probably see the results of ti's effort trickling in n eventually gain momentum. Rome is not built in a day

the key is high income. You need to create these jobs first and they will follow. Lots of these graduates go into gig economy because grad salary is lower. DDon't worry about foreign talents, your concern was addressed by Lew Kuan Yew in the 80s when the Singaporean complain about the same thing.

All the country that do well in chip manufacturing , are with Confucianism culture.
Labour union officials in Arizona, on the other hand, criticised TSMC for exploiting this as a justification to bring in "low-wage foreign labour."

penang and kedah is mainly hub for intel and infineon…..but in KL there is texas instrument and western digital…..and lot more international tech company……malaysia neutrality means we get both advantage…..but the downside of this is that local tech companies will never have a chances…..decade ago malaysia is also hub for international car manufacturers….but after local car manufacturers born in 1991 …government impose high tariffs for non local cars…..but malaysia local car brand will never better than japanese and german made car…..so they impose high tariffs and upset the international car makers….that why many of them relocate to thailand and indonesia…….
