does anyone remember a White Castle commercial from the early 70's, shot on video on a very simple set, where on a table sat an old bi-plane, and an off screen voice derided the Wright Brothers, followed by a lightbulb sitting on a table, and an off screen voice saying "Hey Edison, buy a candle!" followed by derisive laughter, the gist of the ad being that square hamburgers were once derided as well.
I was in this commercial - it was shot in 1979 November in Indianapolis (where it never aired) We, Serendipity Singers, recoreded the jingle in Denver recording from midnight to the next morning where we boarded a plane for our next gig. I had to sing not only the highest harmony, but I also had to record as one of the guys (2 were sick). We also recorded a PSA for the handicapped - don't know if it was ever used. We would end with taking a bite of the burger and had cups by our feet to spit ( one girl didn't get red meat or whatever meat was in it with all the greasy onions) and yes one guy was wearing a wig I didn't think his hair looked that thin). All in all is was fun!!! -Blonde in the blue jean skirt.
