Hi! What should I do if I want these fish in a Taganjika tank but dont want soo much fryes.. is there any fish I could add to the tank who takes care of them? Thanks
Wow it's look so beautiful
Thanks J
I enjoy the subjects you choose. Your narrative helps to make things interesting.
Thank you - appreciate you being here!
Thank you for this video! Haven't kept the red fin varietal of these fish, but tempted to do so!
They are worth it!
I have multi's and I love them.
Those are cool too!
Thanks for the video enjoyed it very much.👍
Jason I just watched your presentation on the 20 v 20 long - what you say is always so clear and precise - I am well able to make up my own mind after you present - please keep up the excellent work and thanks again 👍
Thank you!
Beautiful fish guys.
Thank you!
I just watched the video of your fry and now this one, even with all the extra fish in there, they are loving life!

Ok I want,you win!
You are wise. Haha
Cool fish! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Caudopunctatus are one cool honorary shellie. Thank you for the species spotlight.
They sure are! :-)
They look so well behaved for punks and not a safety pin in sight. Very cool little fish 🤓
Jason, my man! Great subject matter! Say hi to the better half!
Thank you - will do!
Love these fish! I need them in my life!
Don't we all? Haha
Love the title of the video. Aren't all Neolamprologus punks lol :)
Well, that's a good point!
Always love your content - I learn so much thank you
Thank you for watching!
i just placed my order for 4 caudopunks for my new 20 gallon long species tank. they should be here on thursday. i'm beyond excited -- thanks for the information and inspiration!
Good luck! They are great fish.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Hey Jason - I found fry in the caudopunk tank this morning! Amazing. It's my first experience with babies and of course I didn't hatch live BBS yesterday. Do you recommend any store bought fry food, while I wait for the next batch to hatch?
Luycn Nieves. Love yuoj
Nice!
Cool
🆎İ videolarına Türkçe alt yazı koy Bi şey anlamıyorum. Bu arada emeğine sağlık. İnşallah buluşmak nasip olur.
The first club meetings around the country when stuff reopens are going to be packed with goodies. Probably good prices too because everyone will be selling tons of fish. People better buy more tanks now so they have room.
I think you are right! Lots of sellers and tons of people looking for fish too!
👍👍👍🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹...
are these predators, so I could do a tank with guppies so they have something to hunt__
They might help a little.
Do you keep any of the following as I haven’t come across a video on them? Jack Dempsey, Texas, Green Terror, Salvini or Convict?
I have had them at some point in the past, but I am not keeping any of them right now.
@Arron Dowsett Texas cichlids are great fish. Had for a number of years and they’re beautiful when they color up
Punks Not Dead
appreciated if there are any many info to cockatoo dwarf cichlid, thanks
What is the difference between male and female Neolamprologus caudopunctatus? .... thanks bro 🙌🏻
Mostly size and color intensity. Not much :-)
I want some shell dwellers so bad. I can't stand the selection from our LFS all 3 have the same fish and nothing exciting
👍👌😍😍😍👌👍
Any tank mates? I have plenty of them in a 40b and want to add some other tank mates.
This should help: ruclips.net/video/yr8D1DczL88/видео.html
I had to order multifaciatus from aquabid no one had them
Those are cool fish too!
Thinking of putting some in 40g cube. Any other tank mates you might suggest?
If you want to breed them I would make it a species only tank.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics thanks!
will these go with Neolamprologus daffodil's ?
my bad i meant Neolamprologus pulcher
In a large enough tank I think they can. The pulcher may get aggressive if they start to over take the tank though.
I'm getting conflicting reports on the lifespan of caudopuncts from different sources. Google claims its an average of 3 years while some fishkeepers claim that its 8 or even 10 years. Thats a pretty big contrast between sources. Who wouldn't want a good looking pet that can live for 10 years? Then again what it comes with in order to achieve those lifespans it may or may not be worth it. Consensus?
The longest mine lived was about 5 years, but I could see them living longer.
how long does it take to breed or get matuarity
They started breeding for at about 2” or so.
My wife considers _Apistogramma cacatuoides 'Super Reds'_ the ideal punk rocker fish.
In fact, she chose the _Apistogramma cacatuoides_ specifically for our next project because they have what she fondly refers to as the "Anarchy Scowl". Think along the lines of the late Sid Vicious and that whole punk scene.
While I never got into punk rock (I'm a 90's kid that grew up with Nirvana), I can certainly see the resemblance. Of course, Kurt was heavily influenced by The Beatles and Punk Rock. I just prefer grunge more so than the latter two.
To be completely honest, I cannot stand punk rock. Especially as a musician/guitarist myself. The same three or four chords played repeatedly throughout the entire song is incredibly droll. Let us not forget the abhorrent vocals that accompany all the punk bands too. Ugh! Makes me wonder how these people ever got a record contract from the start but I digress.
Nonetheless, I/we think that pretty much all the _Apistogramma_ species tend to fall under the category of "Punk Rocker Fish". Could make for a great themed tank too if someone should choose to go that route! I nominate +Pecktec as he seems to have a way with themed tanks. I've sadly lost all my imagination so I just stick to naturescapes exclusively.
Keep up the good work my friends.
PS - I hope this commentary is visible now. Last few comments were being censored. I'm not blaming you (Jason). It is simply because I'm an active member of the 2A community and YT despises people like me. No worries if this isn't visible. Just thought you'd like to know that your viewers can't always comment on your videos because of YT's bias.
You need to listen to some old Naked Raygun, Bad Brains, 7 Seconds, Exploited! Bet your wife likes all of them. :-)
One of them is missing most of its tail.
Lol, I was waiting for the explanation of why these fish are jerks...and it wasn't until about the 3 min mark that I realized the title about Punks has to do with their name!
Too funny :-)
Shell dwellers are so hard to find in my area =/ Hope to order some and have them shipped soon, just a bit skeptic about shipping due to the current state of things. Torn between multis and "punks" lol
They are both great options. Multis are a little easier to keep and breed. Check out The Wet Spot - they might be your best bet for shipping sensitive fish.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Will do, thanks ^_^
@@angelion7398 I picked up some multis from The We Spot last month. Glad I did, they are fun to watch. You just need to get past the shipping! One other thing, at first I thought I was missing one but found him caught in the folds of the bag. Luckily he was okay once I freed him.
Mike D Thanks will order some on the first of the month.
U can ship me some and I'll breed them for u
RIght now we only sell at local swaps and auctions.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics o I know just kidding I tried to get some multis from y'all last year! It's all good they are beautiful
First
How long from birth will it take these fish to reach sexual maturity?
Maybe 6-8 months?
Prime Time Aquatics thank you man we got 7 juvenile in a 55 gal tank species only. We bought these fish because of your first video on them.. thanks again for all your info and content.
