I am diabetic and prescribed this drug that I can not get now because of people using it for weight loss. You should maybe be more careful not to eat so much and exercise instead of killing someone with diabetes.

Are YOU aware that you can be totally cured of diabetes from EATING a low carb lifestyle? Absolutely! Are you aware the reason you may be diabetic and probably are overweight is because of what YOU eat? The majority of diabetics are overweight.
You got a lot of nerve. I take Ozempic for insulin resistance AND pre diabetic condition and guess what? I'M FAT because of what I eat. Because of what I eat, I am close to being in your boat.
Don't be critical most diabetics are overweight and being diabetic can be totally wiped out if YOU cut out carbs.

It's changed my life and dropped my insulin levels a huge amount! 60 pounds down in 6 months judge if they want but no matter a persons situation if they need it for weight or diabetes it's a need period and it all ends with benefiting a persons health. Be mad at the company who isn't producing enough not the people who are in need no matter the circumstances.

I am on week 10 Ozempic and lost 22 pounds. Also now take Metformin with it. It's magic but I also intermediate fast and eat under 1000 calories a day AND do low carb. It's not easy but two sizes in 10 weeks is amazing. But I work for it.
I'm also insulin resistant AND pre diabetic. So blood work allows my insurance to cover it. -40 dollar I pay once a month.
I am not terrorized by food anymore. It's amazing

For the same reason they post about their weddings, and the births of children, and purchasing a new house, and graduating college. It's a huge life-altering event for those who have tried everything to lose weight, to no avail because our environment and junk we call food has mucked up everyone's hormones. People like to share things that make them happy. Also, people ask! If you post that you've lost 20 pounds without disclosing that you're taking medication that triggers the loss, you'll see multiple comments asking what your secret is. At that point you choose to tell people or keep it a secret. Most are proud enough to shout it from the rooftops, as they should be. People are achieving amazing results, both with weight loss and overall health. My husband's a1c is finally below 6.0 after years of metformin and a range of other oral diabetes meds that came with nasty side effects. He's off all other meds now and his blood pressure is the lowest it's been in 10 years. That's worth celebrating!

I am Ozembic to help with my insulin resistance. STOP USING OZEMBIC FOR YOUR WEIGHT LOSS PROBLEMS. I AM A TYPE 2 AND NEED THIS MEDICATION FOR MY INSULIN RESISTANCE. Ozempic diabetes drug is not a smart thing to use to lose weight not at all it can cause serious health problems, and it will bring on dehydration which can cause serious damage to your kidneys, the best way to lose weight like I did is the old fashion way, first off you have to stop being lazy and stop looking for a magic pill to lose weight, let me tell you how I lost 50 pounds, I am a diabetic type 2, and my doctor told me I should lose weight to help improve my diabetes and blood pressure so what I did was I got serious I stopped using my tread mill as a clothes rag I dusted it off and put it to use I started working out on the treadmill 30 mins a day 6 days a week I did a complete turn around with my diet and started eating healthy I started this in the year 2019 I gave up fried foods process food, rice food that has a lot of starch, juices, I started eating bake chicken, turkey meat no red meat or pork, I gave up red meat and pork 18 years ago, I eat spinach, Broccoli, carrots, lots of spring water, if u want a cookie eat a sugar free cookie but not much of that, no sodas, my A1C was 7.8 when I first became a diabetic in 2015 now its 5.6 when I first started losing the weight I lost 15 pounds in the first month then it kept coming down as I did the tread mill and stayed on my diet, I used to weight 240 when I started right now I am 199 pounds at 6'2'' and feeling very good, you have to have a made up mind to lose weight and be discipline with it that's all it takes to lose weight you can do it, STAY HEALTHY God bless you.

I think we are treating symptoms of a poor diet (the Standard American Diet) which is loads of carbohydrates, sugar and alcoholic beverages. Our health care insurance providers are subsidizing, at about 1000 per shot, cosmetic weight loss. However other than juvenile diabetes and maybe some rare cases of obesity Type 2 diabetes is the result of poor food choices and lack of discipline. I’m going to get a lot of hate for that but the use of these drugs for weight loss is just a preventative to getting type 2 diabetes and if you already have type two diabetes it is just the logical end result of those choices. The long term side effects of these drugs is not known but there are consequences and side effects.

Would you expect one to stay silent if, say, a new Parkinson's drug hit the market and allowed those afflicted to feed themselves again? Would you shame them for sharing their treatment so others could also benefit? Or do you just think fat people need to shut up about their health journey?

Bodybuilders have been using semiglutide for many years. What you’re parroting happens to a fraction of a percent of people and their lifestyle choices are likely a major part of this.
You know what’s 100X worse than all of that? Being 2-300 lbs overweight. That will 100% kill you.

You have no idea how much weight is beyond one's control in modern society. Hormones in food, pesticides, poverty that keeps healthy food out of reach, being fed junk throughout childhood because our parents didn't know or couldn't afford better, genetic disposition, excess stress, the list goes on and on. Tell me why I've stayed a solid 100 pounds since high school while my husband ballooned to 270 after 35? We eat the same things! And I eat twice as much as he does! I buy one "treat" a week and that's it for both of us. He once cut his calories to 1200 a day, and STILL gained weight, at 250 pounds. That's not an overindulge issue. My sister-in-law has banned added sugar from her household and refuses to eat fast food. She's still heavy due to various health conditions. She used to be a model. Yet she gained 100 pounds in adulthood with no dietary or lifestyle changes. It's not always as simple as eating poorly.

@@carriemcgill9738 I don't disagree at all, our society is screwed and we are literally poisoned by everything from corporations. . But these semiglutide things are just an addition to that, another "solution" to problems created by our society.
