Due Meat Loaf was always my favorite when it came to theatrical like this.Ive heard Ronnies name thrown around for about a year never knew who he was.a few weeks ago (and I dont even remember how it happened) I finally listened to him.I think it was Zombified.Theres alot of amazing voices in the rock bussiness but there are non even close to Ronnie!!!!
This is prob one of the best reactions to this song I’ve ever seen. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone tear up, but that’s good it means it did something and made you think.
Nearly 30 years ago, I lost my uncle to addiction. He taught me how to play guitar. He taught me how to pitch a baseball. He taught me how to shoot a gun. He taught me how to hunt. Hell, he literally taught me how to build a house. I genuinely felt this one.

I'm sure by now you've watched it more than 100 times. I know that I have, and I still get chills and my emotions well up every single time. I love seeing reactions like yours, because I shared this with some friends (who, granted, don't like the same genres of music that I do) and they just thought it was "weird". I can't understand that reaction, because this is a lifetime to me- I live inside this song and video each time I hear and see it, and I die each time they die at the end. The only other music that affects me this deeply is that played by Apocalyptica (I've always said they are the soundtrack to my soul). Thank you for sharing!

Awesome reaction!! I still tear up after seeing it dozens of times. Something that escapes a lot of people [including me] in the video, is that his lady is already a vampire at the beginning. She wakes up, in her white dress, in the empty house, that already has dust covers on the piano and furniture. She drifts around the house, reliving her life with him. She sees all those things from the past, right up to the moment he is dragged away and killed. We get the tiniest glimpse of the newly turned her in her ivory dress still lying on the couch recovering as he is being dragged away. So even though the appearance of the video suggests she exposes herself to the sun at the same time he is, it's in fact some time later, when she realises she doesn't want to go on without him and she deliberately chooses to step onto the balcony as the sun rises. Makes the love story somehow even more poignant to me. Those two are crazy in love in real life too.

@@SaltyReacts She killed her human self in the bathtub [in the ivory dress], he was devastated, shocked out of his coldness and brought her back the only way he could, by turning her with his own vampire blood. She 'lived' for some time without him but couldn't bear it. I think if she had burned on the balcony in her ivory coloured dress it would have supported the ghost story but she was in the white dress. So much detail in this masterpiece of a video! Not to mentioned the incredible song itself...just wow!! Really loving your reactions and subbed last week.

broooo. this song, the instrumentals (AND its visuals) together create a masterpiece, plain and simple. it’s been soooo long since i watched a revamp reaction, though… i tend to watch every single one i find, but it’s been a good while now. anyway, this has GOT to be one of my favorite reactions yet!!! watching you watch this made me feel like i was experiencing it for the first time, and i even teared up-despite having watched the music video literally, like, four hundred times by now, lol. it’s such an emotional roller coaster. honestly, i’d love nothing more than to copy paste the mile-long analysis i wrote for the music video (which i saved for instances such as this), but i’ll refrain for now, lol. for what it’s worth, the comment section definitely knows what’s up! the reimagined is a MUST. you’d love it, for sure.
oh, and fun fact: the drug in me is reimagined was my most played song of 2021 on spotify. it was streamed a grand total of 483 times in between early august and late november!!! the revamp wasn’t far behind, haha. it made a solid #3! probably would’ve gotten the revamp at #1 if youtube streams were counted, too. and it definitely would’ve shown 700+ listens if that were the case.
anyway, sorry, got kinda off track there in my rambling for a minute, heh. ronnie radke and this band just awakens the massive music-geek in me, i won’t lie. it’s just GOLD.

I'm very glad you liked it. This song really is a masterpiece. Ronnie said, he was aware that it isn't a radio friendly song but he wanted to give free rain to his creativity for once.
For my personal taste it's a bit too theatrical. But I'm still glad the track exists.

I'm 51.i discovered this guy a few weeks ago.heard his name mentioned several times.I have to admit I never thought in Rock music anyone could beat Meat (excluding maybe Freddie Mercury).Tom Mcdonald was my fave for 3 years till. I heard this guy.He knocked bands like Aerosmith and Van halen down a couple of notches as farms my favorite....Glad you gave this a 10 or otherwise I was going to hunt you down and kill you (thats a bad joke youtube) lol...would of been a shame to cause I love your reactions...lol

@@ASLLover666 it might. It’s also cathartic, definitely not one you listen for fun, just one you can listen to to understand Ronnie, and one I think we can all relate to because we’ve all lost someone.
It’s funny because it’s not his best song vocally, the melody is simple, and the words are stark and blunt.
But to me, it’s definitely the most heartfelt and emotional, with the exception of The Day I Left the Womb. That’s the top one for me.
I think both of those hit harder because they’re so real!

"The Drug In Me Is ... Reimagined" is an even better two song comparison. Only because I actually, highly DISLIKED the original song ... "The Drug In Me Is You" released on July 25, 2011 was (in my opinion) a disaster. The lyrics were fucking brilliant and I couldn't figure out why the hell they were glam rocking it ... It's like they were told by a record executive WHAT THEIR BRAND WAS (debut album and all) ... Anyway What Ronnie did to the reimagined 2020 version (now that he is not beholden to IDIOT LABEL EXECUTIVES) ...
