Titanfall 2 is one of the most fun multiplayer experiences I've ever had. Words cannot express how badly I want to see Titanfall 3 happen

We almost had it but its scrapped for live service models. They even killed Apex Mobile since Apex Legends just makes them more money.

You know a game is good when it's brought back to life 7 years later and people hop on like they just discovered it. I played through the campaign again about a month ago just for the heck of it, and I STILL absolutely love the game. The movement, fluidity, weapons, everything felt so original and FUN, before COD tried to clone everything they possibly could. It's HARD to top the OG of wall running combat haha
If you're talking about COD: Infinite Warfare......that was to this day one of the best shooter campaigns I have ever played. The multiplayer and zombies sucked, but the campaign was actually mind blowing. Not a great comparision as it stands in its own right.

Spec ops the line, mirrors edge, bio shock, sunset overdrive, ect ect. All absolutely amazing games that no one played simply because they weren’t from big studios. Although respawn is huge now because of Apex Legends, when Titanfall 2 came out, respawn was a studio a majority of gamers had never heard of. Objectively Titanfall 2 was the single best first person shooter to come out in the last 15 years-maybe even the last 25 years.
2016 7 years ago and this game is still ahead of its time. Movement and graphics are absolutely outstanding. Single player was beautifully done aswell.

@handlemonium I like apex alot. Not played recently as got back into destiny. But Halloween is always my favourite time to play apex. The night version plus wall running and super speed jump as zombies is so fun. We need that all the time the true titanfall way
Gameplay wise I still really haven't found an FPS that beats it.
This game has one of the greatest FPS campaigns of all time in my opinion. The "Effect and Cause" mission blew my mind.
It makes you feel so powerful. Just saw me ten meters in front of you? Now i'm behind you. And IDK what it is, but the drop down sequence is sooooo satisfying.

The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, I love sci-fi and mechas but never found a good single player game like that

As a long time Titanfall player with 2000+ hours its amazing to see it thriving again. Seeing you play reminded me of the good old days of my first games 7 years ago. Thank you so much for bringing attention to my favourite game of all time, here's to another 7 years of Titanfall!

It’s been like this before. A sale on steam, a new video by a popular RUclipsr, or whatnot, and the player count shoots up.
Inevitably it plummets down again for two reasons: 1) Poor weapon balance whereby guns like the CAR and spitfire are superior to virtually every other option. 2) A lack of matchmaking ranks to separate the extremely skilled players from the noobs.
Props to Respawn for actually coming through and fixing this underappreciated masterpiece

Especially for months when servers were having constant DDOS attacks and constant hackers. We had to do workarounds to play it without any problems.
You can bet your ass that with Apex numbers showing less growth/starting to decline, EA will be 100% eyeing up TF2/TF3 as the next cash machine.
What I love about Titanfall 2 is that there really isn't a meta. Every weapon is pretty viable in a lot of situations and pair very well with the brilliant map designs. This game had so much love put into it and it really shows. It warms my heart to see it playable again!

I mean, theres a meta... its the CAR, alternator, r201, r101, and maybe the volt. But its still balanced enough that almost every gun is viable (except the longbow and the devotion, those two are awful)
I have played this game since release and have 4000 hours. It is so refreshing to see JackFrags Bringing attention to this niche game, it always boosts the player count and makes the game way more enjoyable, so thank you Jack!

as someone who's played titanfall 2 a lot, it's so much fun to see new players discovering the game. not only because new blood is good, but also because we get videos like this where they have no idea how many times they were playing w/ fire XD

Titanfall 2 is already widely recognized as a classic so I'm not sure what more recognition you're expecting.

I'm thinking you guys don't understand what the word "underrated" means. We all knew it was broken for a while, that didn't mean it was bad.
Something I loved about this game, it let you feel awesome and like a badass. Adding grunts was smart cuz it added more life and more opportunities to feel awesome with the running and taking down groups

The game still works as it used to in 2016-2020! And it hasnt changed much (compared to launch, theres a new titan, a few new maps, an extra "normal" gamemode and some rotating LTM) so the feeling its still the same. The frontier is waiting for your help pilot, be ready for titanfall!
It was awesome on PC. Got the game on release day, went all the way to a game shop to get my hands on the disk. The montages are just amazing.
Man 2016 was a great year for me and the games I enjoy.
From finally getting Bloodborne at the time, LoL being at it's peak with fun gamemodes like Odyssey releasing, to Titanfall 2, easily the best FPS game to this day.
I have to agree with someone else's comment I saw earlier today. Titanfall to me feels like it's the modern day equivalent of Halo back in the early 2000's.
It's a lot of players right now, yesterday 23k peak on Steam. It's completely playable a much better than anything else around including Apex
On the Source engine, no less. Jetpack speed-parkour mech action... on the bones of Half-Life 2.
This game was really made by high-tier individuals, the fluid gameplay and the amount of freedom they gave you with the movement was second to none

Respawn at the time when they made TF|2 must have been one of the best teams in the history of game development history, when it comes to FPS at least. The amount of polish in there is above and beyond.

Such a fantastic game, hampered by publisher and timing. Great campaign, innovative level design, great fun pvp, and amazing what Respawn were able to do with the Source engine! I desperately wish for a TF3. Imagine that team, now experienced with UE5 what they could do visually, animation, world/level design...
Unfortunately i doubt anyone from that team is still at respawn
I played this and the first game all the time with my brother, and seeing this a few months after he's passed is bringing back all the memories I had of him.. We would take turns playing and I've found dozens of xbox captures where he was sitting next to me and I wish there was another time him and I could play again.

Keep those captures bud, will be fantastic reminders of great/simpler times. It'll be 10 years in a few months since my dad died and I've kept his gametag as a friend for those reasons, just a little reminder every now and again, it's great ❤

Ahh Titanfall 2. Arguably the shortest campaign of any shooter I’ve played but by far the best experience I’ve had ever since.

So many incredible set pieces and wild, immersive moments. I agree the campaign was kinda short but the amount of quality content packed in it, is just 🤌
Part of the reason it’s so fast is because you’re never slowly walking around. There’s not a lot of downtime, it’s very intense.

I miss the Titanfall series very much. Kinda sad the series didn't take off the way it should have. The fluidity and responsiveness is unmatched.

It's really a shame. My buddy left Treyark to work on the Titanfall 3 project, and only a few months after he got settled in to the company, the project was cancelled. It was a bit of a shock, internally. A lot of the dev team had to scramble to get absorbed into other projects within Respsawn and EA. It was a mess. And let me tell you, the team was every bit as disappointed at the loss of Titanfall 3 as the community. These guys were into it.
It's a shame that these fixes didn't hit before EA made the decision to axe the project. The major spike in popularity might have shown the higher-ups that the franchise still has a lot to offer, beyond just APEX.
Imagine Titanfall 3 had battlefield 1 or 5 esc destruction, your just chilling in a house with your smart pistol and suddenly your almost decapitated by the sword of a Ronin slicing the building in half. Always loved that concept.

@@Padlock_Steve- That’s why you create rubble that has cover, strategically placed indestructible pieces, or just natural map terrain that prevents spawn camping. Or anything else creative that I’m sure a team of devs could think of.
I’m really hoping that the rapidly dropping quality of Apex plus the retrospective that everyone has now on how amazing Titanfall 2 was will eventually lead to a Titanfall 3 that is an Apex BR replacement in the same way that COD has a Warzone 2.0.
Given that Apex, while good, is old; I’m hoping that this update is them testing the waters. I’m def gonna download and play just to help support a push in this direction.

I was SO excited hearing they fixed Titanfall 2!!! I’ve played some using the Northstar mod to get by when it wasn’t working, but so happy the devs gave it some love. Man it would be so cool if they ever make Titanfall 3
A few interesting details: When your titan is doomed (health bar is a striped line) when you eject there is a small text at the bottom that always changes. For example it can say "Go get 'em, tiger", or "Avenge me".
Some of the finishers have additional effects, for example the A-Wall finisher actually places down a wall that can block bullets
the stealth finisher where you turn invisible properly works against titans as well (pilots are completely invisible to titans, while they are still slightly visible for players)
in theory it also applies to the pulse blade finisher but i havent tested it yet
If you really enjoy the wingman you could run the Wingman elite, a primary weapon version of the wingman with a scope and pinpoint accuracy alongside higher damage.

@@aaronmit6584 well technically considering the technology they have and the fact that your titan says welcome back pilot if you enter it even after you called in your third titan could mean your titans personality and stuff is backed up on some sort of cloud so technically they never really die, right?
@@davidhuhnchen3292 That's how I view BT's death. Like he's just on the cloud waiting to downloaded again. Though it would be cool if like in titanfall 3 you have to on missions with like a corrupted BT who like reverted to a pre-combat self
@@tfyk5623 as far as i know, in the mission effect and cause bt uploads a part of himself onto your helmet and in the end cutscene the helmet lights up in morse code saying "Jack", so a lot of people assume bt is still in the helmet
It does work with the pulse blade but it is much smaller and only one pulse.
The wallrunning and movement in general is so satisfying in this game
Super wholesome to watch you enjoy Titanfall 2. It's so cinematic and there is so much going on and to do! The Mech & Pilot gameplay loop keeps you on your toes and engaged. Praying for Titanfall 3 hahaha.
This game deserves more players its a damn fine game and for 3 bucks its unbeatable.

If you're an experienced Pilot, dont tryhard against the new players. It's the only chance we'll have to grow and to potentially get a Titanfall 3.

This is the best multiplayer game ever released. I would play this every night without fail, last titan standing was incredible too, a really different play style... the ddossing coincided with the birth of my first child, which was probably a good thing really. So excited to see it back up and running on official, the northstar client was a godsend for many but a bit too customisable for my liking. Fingers crossed now it's got somebody back looking after it, no.3 isn't completely out of the question...
Yep Frontier Assault was fun too.
I really hope the old team gets together and develop Titanfall 3.

I’m so happy it’s back I can’t even describe how amazing this game was when it released. I remember I waited for it’s release and every day it grew closer the more hyped I was. Nothing compares to when it dropped, I went and bought it, played it and absolutely enjoyed the campaign before heading to online and smashing through the ranks. Literally if they ever make a titan fall 3 it’ll be an emotional day to say the least.

I love the skill range in this game. The skill floor is the same as that of COD but the ceiling is amazingly high. I'm not as good as I used to be, but I miss zooming around the map crouch hopping and air strafing to just keep the speed at all costs. I was never good enough to do that and hit my targets enogh though
It's crazy to think that if this game were released today, with a couple updates, it'd probably see massive success. Weird how times have changed.
have never stopped loving this game and i will never stop hoping someone makes a movie out of it. i get so excited thinking about the possibilities and the potential. so many cool aspects that could lead to some really really cool battle scenes
3:47 As soon as I heard "Warning, hostile titanfall incoming" I felt shivers down my back😂 I haven't played this game in ages! Made It to G30 on PS4 before changing over to PC for a while. No one could've seen these patches coming after having to rely on the Northstar client for years! Now is as good a time as ever to get back into Titanfall I suppose😁

titanfall 2 is easily one of my favorite games of all time. the PVE gamemode is awesome, the campaign is incredible, the regular multiplayer is fun and has such a high skill ceiling
I understand Titanfall 3 would be a huge effort so I'd rather really hope they just release new maps for Titanfall 2 alonside Apex Legends seasons. It would look really good on respawn and EA

Dude, so awesome you covered Titanfall, even if it's just one video. And I am so excited for the recent updates to the game! For the price that it's going right now I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY buying it and playing the campaign. It is an absolute MASTERPIECE. Not only that but the campaign will familiarize you with the different titan weapons and give you a good intro that you can then expand in multiplayer. This game is a historic gem.
I've never enjoyed an online shooter as much as I have enjoyed the Titanfall franchise and I hope Titanfall 2 retains a solid player base for a long time to come.

I absolutely loved Titanfall 2 and played the hell out of it in the few years after it's launch. The campaign is one of the best in the FPS genre, and it's definitely one of the most fun multiplayer shooters on the market. I'm so glad to see it has been brought back from the dead. I'll definitely be downloading it again after I've finished with the games I'm playing now.
Titan Bombing was one of my favorite things if it worked out. Titanfall is such a unique experience. Really fun gunplay and movement and chaotic battles. Basically give this some more "Battlefieldish" gamemodes and you have that future Battlefield game we never got.
I've always loved how Jack is able to play like a Professional whilst also Live Commentating himself or Teaching us.

Damn, what a game, crazy abilities and powers yet everything so well balanced. The kinda over the top but still military/gritty scifi atmosphere to it, so gorgeous.
I don't think it is well-balanced, but still, I think the magic lies in the over-the-top things that make it fun. Apex Legends became so boring because of their obsession to balance the game to death.
@@david.ricardo its perfectly balenced. a person with a pistol can kill a pilot with basicly any weapon if hes more skilled/smarter. and the same is true for SOME guns in pilot vs titan.
Oh man I remember playing this for hours. I sucked on foot, but I was a GOD with the Titans. I ran through matches with just one Titan many times. My brain just clicked with the mecha mechanics.

Titanfall 2 was amazing. Great single player campaign, amazing multiplayer. Ran super smooth with a 10 year old CPU back in the day.
I’m a single player guy and bought this game shortly after release for the campaign but my buddy told me to give the mp a shot so I finally caved in and tried it…I WAS HOOKED, I played hours upon hours of this. Since I had such a good time with Titanfall 2 I tried other games mp and nothing came close. I really hope this game becomes more popular again and we get a third title

I was never really super into the Titanfall series like some other people are, but holy crap I remember spending countless hours having an absolute BLAST playing this game. It's SUCH a shame it wasn't more popular, and I hope this new fix brings in a crowd! Titanfall3 let's GOOOOOOOOOOO

A gamemode I really enjoyed in TF2 is that PvE gamemode where sou have to protect a structure from increasingly more dangerous - and also just more - enemies for 5 waves

My same opinion, bo3 was the last great cod imo. I miss the maps, guns, vibe/aesthetic, mechanics, and the fact that there was not much camping
Its definitely between Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1 for the best of the last 10 years, BF4 just edging it personally, but Titanfall 2 comes pretty close. Tremendous game.

Being able to “die twice” once while in your titan and if you were good enough, you’d get out of your titan AS ITS DESTRUCTING and continue the fight as the pilot.
Getting out of “your tank or vehicle in battlefield didn’t feel the same to me, the closest thing would be getting outta my jet or helicopter in battlefield after coming outta a dope play” but TITANS felt sooooo GOOD.
Would love a MASSIVE MAP (like apex) BUILT FOR 60+ titans (LIKE APEX) cause the maps are big enough and WIDE ENOUGH (like 🎶 “ain’t no mountain high enough” 🎵) with highs and lows (no boundaries in the maps just great map design) UNLIKE APEX (cause apex is pretty but the maps are 🤮) “imo” 😂

Nice! I've always thought Titanfall 2 was a very... Very underappreciated game. Nice to know people are playing it again. Hopefully the attention gets them looking at making a proper sequel.
Such a good game played it over the years and it’s had its ups and downs but I’m glad to see the devs never let it go

I love Titanfall 2. one of my favorite thing was with the smart pistole when you have multiple lock-on's and it just fires like an LMG
I loved this game. The multiplayer PVE survival mode was also really fun, but I am a sucker for those game modes. I just gifted it to my kids on Steam.

This game deserved so much more love than it got but it just had to drop in between 2 of the most popular fps experiences at the time. If tf3 ever happens, I'm playing day one by choice. That's how much I love this game

Still a very fun game. I just finished playing a bit and man I felt like I was living the old days. I got a double Titan drop kill which felt so satisfying. I appreciated the North Star client for doing what they did but this signifies something great and I’m here for it. Glad to officially be back

Titanfall 1 is seriously underrated as well, the feeling of customizing your titan in the first game and ranking up your chip was one of the best feels ever.
Agree in some respects it was better than 2 with the Titan customization
I had a lot of fun on this game. Great movement, very balanced weapons, unique characters and just a good time. Only thing it needed was more rewards to work for.

i just downloaded titanfall 2 on pc a few weeks ago and god do i miss it so much. it looks so amazing and reminds me of the good old days
The way jack described apex is exactly how I feel about it now I couldn’t have put it into better words, I used to main that game for roughly 2 years of my life, putting in 3,000 hours into that game just to feel burnt out, I finally removed it from my library for now, but I felt like I used to have to always play to keep up, I couldn’t do it anymore and just decided to enjoy games again fr.
Man i still remember TITANFALL 1 closed beta and how whole experience was out of this world with grit graphics, fast paced action and gameplay quirks not seen in other games of that time. Amazing series. Titanfall is like Apexs cool cousin.

I saw all the hype recently and went back in. This game is extraordinary, from the movement, mechs, and weapons. It made me do a compilation of my favorite plays since 2016. Can't wait for titanfall 3.
