as I watch this I come across a realization that I, too, am a part of this flow of lineage and history. Started with taekwondo, now doing hapkido too. It would be an illuminating comversation with master Kin about the specialities of hapkido and taekwondo. Because on the surface it seems like hapkido is just a more complete form of taekwondo. Taekwondo has forms , allright, but the actual appications seem a lot like hapkido. I wonder what taekwondo brings to the table in this combination of styles.
Master kim & Master Mauricio were my masters in San Diego off of Palm Ave in 1986-1989 a short time But great unforgettable memories. His daughters & son I belive at the time were red belts. I made it to green with brown stripes.
I was one of his Hap Ki Do students in Metairie, Louisiana!
I studied in a Hapkido Joon Do Ryu school in Tijuana.
