- Always love starting a new sketchbook, it's so satisfying having this blank canvas ready for you to just go buck wild on. That being said, I spent so long on my previous sketchbook that I kinda really miss it, and I still not used to the size of this new one so I get Blank Page Syndrome for every. single. page. I'll likely go back to using a bigger sketchbook again in the future, but for now Imma enjoy this small one 😊
Hope you all enjoyed this video, it's a little shorter than usual but there should be new videos soon which should make up for that

drawingwiffwaffles was also my inspiration to really start filling sketchbooks too ! although this was much more recent , im just past the halfway point in my first proper one (calling it my second though bc i did accidentally fill a sketchbook of the same type before , just not very well) its a5 with really bad paper , cost £2.50 from hobbycraft and only has 40 pages but it means i dont have to be precious about it . ive got a new one on the way from royal talens so once ive finished this and proved to myself that i can really do it I'll have something of (hopefully) better quality :))

Yooo this is such an amazing first page!! 🧡🤠 I love how u use gouache and also the colours go together so well! Also i started using leutcherrum and it’s such a good sketchbook brand I definitely prefer it over Moleskine 👀

Ok I just found you and it’s hard for me to find people I actually enjoyed watching and listening to. I could not get enough of how you went on the rants and everything made sense to me personally. I enjoyed hearing you expressing you’re struggles with things and how you had to slow down with art bc I feel it’s so overwhelming and people rarely talk about it. You’re formatting of the video is absolutely stunning imo and your artwork is even better and I can’t wait to binge your videos over the winter when I’m in art blocks.❤

I’ve been wanting to try the square Leuchtturm sketchbook, but I was worried about the paper quality! I’m definitely going to try one after seeing yours 😍 Would love to know, what fixative do you use? Can’t wait for the sketchbook tour! 🫶
The paper quality is amazing in my opinion! I hope you enjoy it if you get one 🥰 I usually use 'Winsor&Newton Professional Fixative', but I thought I'd try 'd'artigny fixative' this time and it did the job 👍 (I bought it recently to seal in the oil pastel pieces from one of my previous videos, it seems to be stronger than the winsor & Newton one but it's a little pricey 😬)

Yeah, I use Winsor & Newton Professional fixative on my drawings and d'Artigny Sennelier fixative Oil pastels for my paintings 😊😊

It sort of makes me cringe whenever I see someone who doesn't know anything about real life cowboys in the modern day or the past, or Hell even Southern culture, draw cowboys.
