Before you can travel you need to have a basic portfolio setup and a little bit of experience. Your mother agency should connect you with International agencies. You can talk with them and ask " hey guys, I would love to travel and work in other markets, could you find out which agencies are interested in me? If they think you are ready they will send your material to other countries and wait for the relpies. Thats it. It is very very important to have a good mother agency. I will make a video about this later on. I also explain this in detail in my model book

I’m 17... I’m turning 18 in October, do you think if this age is good for getting model jobs in China? What’s your opinion?

Thanks Guilherme! Yeah 18 is a good age to start modeling. Do not just think about China, there are many other countries where you can do modeling. China still pay really well, but the competition has become a lot more. I went ti China once every year for the last 8 years and saw the change over time. Alot more model agencies opened up, the models ( competition) increases and also the freelance models. Starting as a new model in any country is a bit hard. But the aim is to spend time in a market so that the clients and studios can get to kow you and over time your clients grow. It is difderent for every model. You might work well or you might not. But even if you dont work that well, the experience ia still good to have. That is why most models started modeling: because of the traveling ( new countries, new cultures, new friends and so on)
And what’s the agency you think is the best in there? Which one would you recommend for me?

Hey Daniel found your videos today and I'm an aspiring male model, I am 23, 6"3, 170 lbs with an athletic build and about to start my portfolio. I have just a couple of questions for submitting a portfolio to multiple agencies.
First is a simple questions, Do agencies look for a more mature face with thick facial hair or do they care, honestly I still have a baby face but it is seems to be coming in more rapidly. Will this affect my success rate of getting signed?
Second question, and only one more after this one. When looking for an agency, what is the main thing I should look for in a agent? I imagine it would be a long the lines of someone that is excited for me to get contracts as much as they are because they get paid a percentage of contracts if my information is correct. I know I don't have room to be picky since I am just starting my portfolio and I do not have a lot of experience in the studio.
Third and last question, I am thinking about sending at least 10-20 photos to agencies all over America, and in multiple outfits... casual wear, suit, swim wear, etc... I want to show diversity in what I can model but is there a point where it gets to much and looks like I am trying to hard or should I Just focus on my angles and poses and not worry about the clothing to much. I have been practicing posing, and I have it down at least I think so.
Anyways I really appreciate your videos, you have really lifted the hood on the lifestyle a male model, because most of them do not show a lot of their personal life and sometimes it is really hard to look from the outside in. Again I thank you!

Hi Ryan, thanks for the kind words!! Agencies look for different types of models so that they can book more jobs with different clients. When you start modelling you will get clients that like your baby face and when you get older your clients will start to change to the ones who like a more mature look. It also depends on the market (Country). Give it a shot, ask a few agencies in your area.
About the Agencies: You need an Agency that really believes in you. If you feel like just a number, then don't stick with them. I have signed with big and small agencies and my personal experience is that smaller but good agencies are better if you start modeling, because then you can get the attention you need to focus on building your modeling career. Don;t sign to quick, see a few agencies and then make you decision.
10-20 Photos are fine. In these photos they will look at your facial features and body shape. There won't be a point where it is too much, they need to see all the good pictures that you have right now, so that they will know what they have to work with if they say yes. Just don't send any bad photos, just the best.
Most agencies will be very direct and say yes or no. If they say no, don't feel bad, because they might just have too many models with a similar look. If some say yes, go and see them, be confident in who you are, but not arrogant.

If you do not have any photos for your portfolio yet. Do different looks so that you can show what you would look like for different clients. Smartcasual, casual, sport, suit, swimwear, ect. It depends on how many looks you would do. Try to also get a good headshot, which is the most important

Awesome video. Braai bly een van die lekkerste goed om te doen in Suid Afrika. Jissou China het baie besig gelyk, as jy so besig is en min tyd kry om te slaap hoe kry jy dit reg om altyd goed te lyk voor die kamera. Moegheid kan soms baie goed beinvloed mentally en physicaly.
Ja dit het nogal rof gegaan ...ek slaap maar waar ek die kaans kry, al is dit in die kar. Ek try ten minste 7 ure in kry. Maar later het ek die agency gevra om vir my n dag of 2 af tee gee sodat ek kan rus. Al was daar jobs het ek gese nee, want n mens se gesondheid is meer belangrik as werk
