I was there just yesterday. The guide man told us that the cost till this moment is 88M Swiss Fr. and it took 12 years to be constructed and planned. Wikipedia says: 5y and 52M CHF... The best video of the funicular that I found - Thank you!
Well made video with great drone shots.. ;-) Stoos is the place of my childhood holidays where I learnt to ski.. now living in South Africa for many years and working as a video producer so I appreciate all your effort in making this!
Красиво и потрясающие виды пейзажи природы, только транспорт выглядит необычно кабины круглые. Вовремя движения кабины врашяются зависимости от уклона так чтобы пол был на уровне.
Do those cars rotate to keep the floor level? This is really spectacular. Amazing, that must also be one heck of a long cable ... and probably costs a fortune. I hope they keep it well maintained and inspected. Amazing, hope to visit there someday.
I don't even remember watching this video 5 years ago, but since then I looked up the word funicular, and it seems this may not be a real funicular because it does not seem to have counterbalances up and down cables.
Why do other countries seem so more advanced in their modes of transportation: i.e. bullet trains, funicular railways, super highways, ships that skim ABOVE the ocean etc.?
It's mainly because things are a lot closer together in Europe than they are in the US. That's why you don't see a lot of travel infrastructure until you get into a city in the US. Cities tend to have a lot of poor people here, so the only place you see fancy light rail is in fancy downtown/rich areas.
Funicular What is located in Zagreb its a very short distance, around 65 meters so from my opinion there is no any comparison between this great work and the Zagreb Funicular,do u agree with me ? thanks a lot dear .
@@king2_abdullah I can't agree with you because Zagreb funicular is made a century ago. It was much harder to make that one at that time comparing to this project made with big machines.
The one in Australia is a inclined elevator, one-car version (some might call it a "Winch car") tourist attraction, no public tranport to anywhere involved. The one in Zagreb is similar to the one i've seen in Budapest, it's the two-car version of inclined elevator, each car has it's own rail and a single cabin. In England where they originally came from , they're built as "Lifts" This here in Switzerland is a single-rail, two car (each with 4 cabins and 1 freight deck) funicular in public transport, it's the only way to get up to the village of Stoos. It has between 0 and 110% or 47.7° incline and is worlds steepest FUNICULAR
Dear , I am writing to inquire about your permission to use your video clip. This is , the Korean TV show which is broadcasted on JTBC (Korean TV channel). With your permission, I'd like to use your video clip to introduce Stoosbahn. It will be broadcasted at 9PM on 18 December 2023. Thank you for your kind attention and look forward to hearing from you.
It’s not a funicular is it? Unless there is a hidden counterbalance connected to the ‘tram’ by a rope which is unlikely given the changes in angle of the track.
M B I expect not scary as it will travel downhill at exactly the same speed as uphill. I think it’s on a coupled drive system. It would have to be or it couldn’t manage the gradient :)

Thank you! It was fun to make it.
Basically, on the way down it's a frightening ultra-steep rollercoaster ride.

Yes! They do.

Dude, they're Swiss. No need to hope, it gets done :)

There's a lot of reasons, many of them political but also a general attitude. You should see their school buses, even!

What month did you take these videos? perfect winter indeed. We plan to go here as well
Thanks for your answer
Шикарно!!!
The steepest one is in Australia. In Europe in Zagreb the steep is 52 degree and Stoos is 47.

I wonder what the orginal trip was like?
Miraculous!!!
Even steeper is the "Senkeltram" in Berne.
Great Video, the best English version .. what kind of drone are you flying?
Video was taken with several devices. Most aerial footage came from DJI Mavic Pro.

It is a funicular. The are two cars which are connected via a rope going along the track.
wouldnt a gradient of 110% be past vertical???
Inclination in % denotes how much elevation is gained with distance. 100% means every 1m ahead is 1m up. That is 45 degrees.
Do people live on the top of this mountain!?!
Yes
You have a new member to your channel 😃👍🏻
Is the top a ski resort?
Yes, a small one, but it is.
@@zdzisiek8311 Thank you
14 years to build that? Why so song?
Is it scary when the train goes down the hill?
No, it feels very safe.
