Yeah it would’ve been better if he went over at least a few episodes. Personally, the first two seasons were great, there were a few things that didn’t really make sense (bone marrow being able to save people from radiation. Realistically radiation from the sun is in the same category as nuclear radiation but they aren’t EXACTLY the same, a little loophole in their science) season 3 sucked IMO. I literally quit the show for a year because it wasn’t that good. I think season 4 will be decent though

Right? That's the problem with writers like this. They never step back and ask, "Is this even possible?" The whiny edgy feminists and SJWs get all upset and start lobbing ineffective words when they get triggered by completely logical criticism that is spot on correct, but who cares what they think. I personally love female leaders if they are done right. Daenerys Targaryen, is an awesome example of a female leader done right, and so is Cersei Lannister. In fact, all of the female leaders in GoT are done quite well. I haven't seen an example of women being portrayed in laughably ridiculous ways, in GoT. Even the two best female fighters, are at least reasonably believable. The 100 simply suffers from poor writing that is driven by ideology and an obvious agenda. What ideologues like them don't seem to understand is that they do more damage to their agenda than good when they go so far overboard like they do here. Octavia is just one such example. So we are supposed to believe that a teenage girl, who spent her whole life living under the floor, and getting to come out only when it's safe, would in a short period of time, become a better warrior than big men who have spent their whole life training and fighting. She's what, 5'6", 130 lbs, lived on partial rations, had not regular exercise, and especially no weight training to build muscle. The reality is she would be scrawny and weak. She would also have almost no social skills, and would cling to her brother, since he is all she knew her whole life. But this is just one example of how the writers never thought through their plot lines. It's lazy writing.

I originally thought the 100 was going to be a teen romance with some survival...then it totally lost the romance. Killing off so many people....It actually shows survival very well.

I love how this show went from "look at this cool new world" to "were fighting a war and have to make the hard choices" to "now were in space fighting over who deserves space heaven"
Episode 1 isn’t really a great representation of the series. The characters go through so much development they’re not even recognizable anymore. The show also gets really dark, it’s a great show.
Haha just got back from the finale and I now am in love with both Hope Diyoza and Octavia Blake and Cockblock Raven still manages to exist after seven seasons, it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen

About mid season 1 it drops the heavy “teen drama” focus and becomes a sci-fi in its own right. Lots of interesting questions about the nature of morality, tribalism, and survival. Honestly worth it! Season 2 is fantastic.
The beginning of season 1 has a tremendously different vibe from the rest of the show, it gets a lot better than a simple teen drama. If anything this video reminds me of how far the characters and the story have come!

It’s not a bad show it takes a little to get into it but when you do you start to wonder what’ll happen next then sooner or later you’ll be begging them to release the 6th season of the show (Like if you agree)

YoungSadLiving idk, i liked the way she died. The symbolism behind it was just. Not every death needs to be a dramatic, war typed end. Her dying by a bullet reflects the true unity she visioned. Her dying by 'sky people' weaponry used by her grounder assistant shows that the unity of all people can also mean destruction from that unity.
YoungSadLiving and really, Lexa is the best character? Yeah i loved her too, but there are so many other multi-layered characters in the show. Plus shows like this constantly has big character deaths. Even if my fav character died i wouldn't condem the show for being terrible because of it. Hell then the walking dead would be the worst show because every season has big character deaths

So I think most 100 fans can agree the first 3 episodes or so are not good. But I don’t think it even feels like a teen drama anymore. Especially not during season 4. I think the show has evolved into something amazing.
I completely agree, this show has some serious darkness to it. In fact, I'd be hesitant to classify it as a "Teen" show at all anymore. It can be punishingly dark and brutal at times, Season 3 was a non-stop sensory assault.

Skaro Yes. Some of the acting was a little rough. But the show has now been renewed on Netflix for a 7th season. Enough people must like it for that to have happened. I forgot which one but a big journalism company put season 2 on the top 25 tv series seasons on tv right now. But the show has gone on for 7 years now, with a good amount of reoccurring actors and watching the acting get better and better throughout the seasons is pretty cool. Also because most of the actors and actresses in this show didn’t have too much experience before The 100, now a lot of them have made big names for themselves. The character development in this show is amazing as well. Idk if it makes me biased but watching this show changed my life in a way. I was in college pursuing a back up plan degree in business and was struggling with depression and stress and stuff, and then I discovered this show and have pursued acting and gotten more into writing and stuff. It really is worth another watch deeper into the serious but I can understand why somebody wouldn’t wanna watch a first season that’s known to be slow just to get to a second.

this show has the best characters, and not having everybody survive to season 5 makes it realistic, and shows that really anyone can die, that is the true way to portray survival. Also, the way they portray race and sexual orientation are unlike any other show, because they do it without bringing up any stereotypes. Amongonoson!!!
exactly. imagine if there was a group of clarke's friends that were to never die, it starts to feel fake and more predictable because whenever they are in danger, you know they'll somehow end up safe. like (SPOILER ALERT!) when finn was tied up about to be tortured. i was chill, i knew he wouldn't die. although he did not have much of an important role, he was clarke's main love interest and i didn't think that they would kill him off so soon but they did and that's when i realised it's all about unpredictability in this show. that being said, of course they are going to keep a few characters safe (mainly speaking clarke, bellamy and perhaps raven at least for a while now) otherwise they would have to continuously develop new characters enough and just when you get to know them, they die, which would get tedious.
I personally loved the bad acting and cheesiness! I literally laughed out loud when Octavia dropped those "We're back bitches" and "hey space walker, rescue me next" lines and when Finn does his cool little parkour off the drop ship. Then later on in the show you can tell the cast become much better actors(despite many of the lines still being cheesy but hey its the CW), and the actors really settle into their characters. Only for it to be completely ruined in season 7 but thats a rant for another comment section lol

I watched 6x07 episode today... I actually was watching the 100 from the very first episode...and i waited for the other episodes for 6 years..so if it wouldn't worth it i would not watch..
I have only watched the first season. I have to admit when that imagine dragons song played i rolled my eyes. I stuck to it and discovered how deep it was.
The show is so underrated. The first few episodes weren't that good for sure, but it's one of those shows which is getting better every season. And we don't have a lot of that shows at the moment
It got better every season until season 3 when they absolutely ran out of any viable convincing plot points and started shrugging like "idk......uhhhhh cults? have we done cults?"

That's because the characters then were dumb and even in the same season some chapters before themselfs create rules realizing that they were wrong They were 100 lawbreakers you expected them to in a few days create a civic society or what.
I love this show. It doesn’t have the stereotypical romance that most teen shows do. The two main characters Bellamy and Clarke have a very platonic relationship and none of the other ships are corny which is a great alternative to *every other teen movie or show*. It’s one of my favorites

So we are supposed to believe that a teenage girl, who spent her whole life living under the floor, and getting to come out only when it's safe, would in a short period of time, become a better warrior than big men who have spent their whole life training and fighting. She's what, 5'6", 130 lbs, lived on partial rations, had not regular exercise, and especially no weight training to build muscle. The reality is she would be scrawny and weak. She would also have almost no social skills, and would cling to her brother, since he is all she knew her whole life. But this is just one example of how the writers never thought through their plot lines. It's lazy writing.

YoungSadLiving idk, i liked the way she died. The symbolism behind it was just. Not every death needs to be a dramatic, war typed end. Her dying by a bullet reflects the true unity she visioned. Her dying by 'sky people' weaponry used by her grounder assistant shows that the unity of all people can also mean destruction from that unity.
YoungSadLiving and really, Lexa is the best character? Yeah i loved her too, but there are so many other multi-layered characters in the show. Plus shows like this constantly has big character deaths. Even if my fav character died i wouldn't condem the show for being terrible because of it. Hell then the walking dead would be the worst show because every season has big character deaths

I completely agree, this show has some serious darkness to it. In fact, I'd be hesitant to classify it as a "Teen" show at all anymore. It can be punishingly dark and brutal at times, Season 3 was a non-stop sensory assault.

Skaro Yes. Some of the acting was a little rough. But the show has now been renewed on Netflix for a 7th season. Enough people must like it for that to have happened. I forgot which one but a big journalism company put season 2 on the top 25 tv series seasons on tv right now. But the show has gone on for 7 years now, with a good amount of reoccurring actors and watching the acting get better and better throughout the seasons is pretty cool. Also because most of the actors and actresses in this show didn’t have too much experience before The 100, now a lot of them have made big names for themselves. The character development in this show is amazing as well. Idk if it makes me biased but watching this show changed my life in a way. I was in college pursuing a back up plan degree in business and was struggling with depression and stress and stuff, and then I discovered this show and have pursued acting and gotten more into writing and stuff. It really is worth another watch deeper into the serious but I can understand why somebody wouldn’t wanna watch a first season that’s known to be slow just to get to a second.

this show has the best characters, and not having everybody survive to season 5 makes it realistic, and shows that really anyone can die, that is the true way to portray survival. exactly. imagine if there was a group of clarke's friends that were to never die, it starts to feel fake and more predictable because whenever they are in danger, you know they'll somehow end up safe. like (SPOILER ALERT!) when finn was tied up about to be tortured. i was chill, i knew he wouldn't die. although he did not have much of an important role, he was clarke's main love interest and i didn't think that they would kill him off so soon but they did and that's when i realised it's all about unpredictability in this show. that being said, of course they are going to keep a few characters safe (mainly speaking clarke, bellamy and perhaps raven at least for a while now) otherwise they would have to continuously develop new characters enough and just when you get to know them, they die, which would get tedious.
I mean keeping Lexa in the show wouldn’t be the worst idea...

I personally loved the bad acting and cheesiness! I literally laughed out loud when Octavia dropped those "We're back bitches" and "hey space walker, rescue me next" lines and when Finn does his cool little parkour off the drop ship. Then later on in the show you can tell the cast become much better actors(despite many of the lines still being cheesy but hey its the CW), and the actors really settle into their characters. Only for it to be completely ruined in season 7 but thats a rant for another comment section lol

The creator agrees that the first episode is the worst. He only made it cliche because he wanted to get the network to air it. After he got confirmation of a season or two it gets really dark and good
