Seles was far too good a ball striker to ever be troubled by Hantuchova. Monica’s movement is shocking in this match though. I think the was suffering with stress fractures in her feet that ended her career.
simon massey Monica did not get stress fractures in her feet till after the aus open in 2003 after her final loss in Doha to Justine henin. Monica was 10kg to heavy since after her stabbing. Monica pre stabbed was a very good mover around the court. The only thing that kept Monica in the top 10 from 1996-2002 was her brilliant ball striking where Monica was ranked 1995 : co ranked no.1 for the next 12 months (played only 2 tournaments Canadian open and US open 1996: ranked 2 won 5 titles including Australian open 1997: ranked 5 1998: Ranked 6 1999: Ranked 6 2000: Ranked 4 2001: Ranked 10 (missed 3 months French and Wimbledon due to injury) 2002: ranked 7 2003: only played 4 tournaments due to injury her last match was round 1 loss to Nadia Petrova at the French Open Pre stabbing 32 singles titles including 8 gs titles all by age of 19 After stabbing 21 singles titles including 1 grand slam aus open and 3 gs final losses 1995 US Open, 1996 US open and 1998 French open.
@@gopies1456 Seles developed stress fractures in 1999, she missed a lot of tourneys after losing to Lucic at Wimbledon ‘99. She bombed out of the ‘03 Aus Open due to the fracture and also she had a bad ankle sprain in one of her early matches.
Rediculous screaming by Seles even grunting loud on slices . I liked her as a player but that noise was just extreme . It definetly got louder after she returned to the tour.
Wow, they were both absolutely crushing the ball here!

Vraiment cool de retrouver un match de Daniela Hantuchova face à Seles, match bien à fréquence vocale ;-)
The last match Monica won at French Open
Seles was very powerfull
Seles Forever ❤
Nigel Sears is the worst tennis coach. He made Daniela almost anorexic and later on he did the same to Ana Ivanovic.
Poor Hantuchova, always the bridesmaid
Hantuchova should've ran Seles. Keep her moving and hopefully eventually have the opening for a winner. Unfortunately they were both terrible movers

Despite the win , seles looked slow and heavy and he swing also lost its pizazz and timing.

@@gopies1456 Here she did not look chubby. It is normal to fill out at some age. But we also know about her eating disorder.
