What do you think?!
I have the same feelings on this as I do about Gunther werks. The cars don't look as good as an untouched Porsche. Changing the wheels would definitely help the aesthetics IMHO.
I love what Bruce Canepa is doing with 959s. To me the 959 was the the most ahead of its time vehicle ever produced. If I ever hit the lottery Bruce will be one of the first phone calls I make
I like the mass at the ends of the car to fix the weight distribution, makes the car slower rotating, nice for drifting.
I think it looks like a Kit-Car...
You had me at 3D-printed titanium 😮
the 993 design is the best 911 design, would've preferred a restomod with the design staying more in tact, but I am sure it will drive real nice.
A year ago, I made a drawing of what a 959 would look like with the current porsche look and it looked very similar to this restomod, I'm happy to see a "drawing that I made" in real life. Amazing work, one day i will do this type of things 🙌
Looks like a kit car
Agreed. Not homogenous, just like a Porsche with bolt-on sh!t.
Crazy project! But the company has already proved itself capable.
The angles are all jacked up on this car. It looks like an amalgamation.
the side profile gives me that lightning mcqueen vibe for no reason
Nothing wrong with that! Kachow!
A rare presentation at Canepa. Chapeau.
This looks like a Porsche 959 in a video game without a licensing agreement. That Gemballa 959 is a much better looking car.
Gemballa its a 992 with 959 inspired bodykit
This is, what would the old 959 be with the current porsche design language
Super nice build!!!
Flipping love it, something about these Restomods..
Dump it ~1.5-2” and he has a winner. I like it.
and chop the roof another 2"
I love it. Better than the 992 it was built off of.
I’ll take an original Porsche, not a Porsche that looks like a kit car.
What a beautiful car. Stunning inside and out. Well I think anyway.
With respect the cinematography leaves a lot to be desired. You’ve filmed a dark green car in the shade on it’s facing side. Why didn’t you put it in the light??? We’ve missed that awesome shape. Interior shots were a passing glance. So was the rear shots. I appreciate the conversation but why didn’t you pan the details of the car while talking?
Great car. I’d have one over the Singer for sure.
Great interview.
Terrible video leaving you l feeing like you’ve missed more than you’ve learned.
Hi Peter! We had a very short window to film this car, less than an hour, and it also needed to remain private before it was launched two days later, hence why it was filmed in the back of the building. Hope you can understand and thanks for watching our video!
When he said it’s based on a 993 I thought… “why cut up a 993 to make it look like a 992?”… no man…😢
no offense but I think Alois has already been established as ultimate sports car. this is an outstanding progect though. bueatiful. cheers
This might be the greatest car ever built
Relax
Wow that’s a beautiful looking Porsche; I love it hopefully I’ll be able to afford one sooner than later😍👍
😎😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥🔥💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
Amazing vehicle
Can we please stop butchering these old classics
Mcmurtry/Porsche mashup
It's been designed by a car designer on the banned packets of skittles.
Totally agree :-).
As a big time enthusiasts, that is pretty simple and spot on if porsche had done it themselves..
No way Porsche doesn’t have this bad of taste 😂
Looks awesome but I would love to see it in person
Was hoping it was manual
They make a version with a manual!
@@AudrainMuseumNetwork cool!
Tasteful.
Tacky
Kalmar is a city in the south of Sweden founded in the 11th century 🇸🇪
Should have claimed the bhp was 959 😂 I mean it's close enough
That would've been funny!
WOW!
Visually it's horrible for me, its a mesh of too many style and has no style of its own. 935, 939, 3RS, 992 and so on. It's just not cohesive visually at all, great to make a ton of hp but beyond the HP theres not much else to lend itself here.
I like the car, but probably for all the reasons you don’t - and sort of agree with you. It would be easier to gauge the visual appeal of the car if it were painted white instead of black. Black hides a lot of the angles, details, and flaws.
The 992 front end just doesnt really fit the car. I think an older design wouldve been better. But maybe thats just me.
Who asked you ??
@@dwe4White isn’t the best color either to see the things that you listed. It works better for cars that are more graphical. Ideally for more organic shapes a mid tone color or metallic reads a lot better.
@@CaptainKedahBy posting a video and turning on the comments the people who posted the video are welcoming viewers to comment and have a dialogue about the car. If you’re not able to deal with people having opinions then social media is probably not for you.
market timing is a bit problematic for yet another Porsche Special to enter the fray. as long as he builds to order, the biz may survive. there's always the "collect 'em all!" segment.
Market is pretty saturated
Mr. Canepa has not been building a thing. His staff does however.
What about Vic Edelbrock?? You think he was just the name and the legacy belongs to the employees..?
Side profile is killa ❤
What a superb work of art. The 959 was in need of a bit of modernizing and this man has done a great job. Opinions are like ar.... . everyone has one.
We just need one of these to not cost more than 500k lol
Good luck. Maybe one of those guys who makes super cars in their backyard in Vietnam 😂
Marc Philipp Gemballa Marsien is a much nicer looking project IMO.
Too many Porsches thrown in a blender on this one. Marsien executed much better as a modern 959. And overall just a sad thing to do to a 993 lol.
992 headlights are too big proportionally for a 993 body. (Probably why singer and gunther always use proportional leds)
Great job kid
0:08 did he say Arrest o mod Porche?😂
“A restomod Porsche”
@@AudrainMuseumNetwork at 900+ horsepower, I might be more correct, just not right. 😆
@@donc-m4900 Had not thought about it like that. You make a very good point.
Total piece of sh*t. Top cheap design version without any proportions. Totally agree with other members opinions - cheap kit-car.
It looks awful sorry...proportions and design details are terrible (especially in the rear). It reminds me when you take a Boxster and try to make it look like a GT1: regardless of how good it's built, it will always look off.
OK I saw this car at the Quail today. It is the worst car there not just in terms of looks and I know it’s a prototype, but it looks like it was painted with a paint roller. The interior was terrible. It wasn’t finished, but the styling was not to my taste. But it was bad. I cannot believe Bruce Canepa is putting his name on this project. I don’t get It. Bruce said some really crappy things about singer and then he puts this out at the Quail? His white Porsche, the quality was also not very good. The interior was awful. It was bubbling up on the windowsills. Paint work was not very good on the white car either and what they’re asking moneywise, why not just get the Singer or the GuntherWorks, they’re far better vehicles, GW debuted a new car there that was stunning and Bruce comes out with this abomination? It was awful. Everyone was so surprised at how bad this car looked and how bad the fit and finish and quality of the cars were. This car was ugly, but also poorly put together. This shocked me because normally Bruce has very very good cars, especially his 959 project. Those are stunning vehicles. I love them. These two cars that were there were awful truly awful.
Wow…I don’t blame you for being shocked being it’s connected to Canepa? What good is a rush order delivered prototype going to do for future sales. I don’t know what it could cost..but I saw a video awhile back where he said that essentially his customers have to bring a $1.3 million 959 to start with and (my. Mind is failing me?) and dump the same into it. I can’t remember if the one on the sales floor was $2.7 m or in the $3.3 m..range?? Forgot my CRS..getting old..lol
But..didn’t they say in this video that it had a WRAP on this particular car?
Sorry this is ugly...
Yawn, rich guy drivel.
Kinda pointless without a drive. Is this a paid advertisement or something?
This was just launched this morning, there will be a drive in the future!
@@AudrainMuseumNetworkWhy wasn't the door opened to see and sit inside. No interior I assume
Did you watch the whole video? We speak about the interior at 10:26
