It's not the original Microprose. However, somebody who obviously loved Microprose's catalog of sim games bought the name (from whichever corporate monstrosity previously owned and abandoned the brand), so I'm more than happy to support their endeavors. I'm also happy to see games released that will serve at a gateway to the world of flight simulation, because if the sim market is dominated by games with a learning curve as steep and high as Mount Everest it'll be hard to get new players interested in them.
This looks like it could be a proper simulator lite for folks that don't want to fully learn a whole aircraft like in DCS, maybe even a gateway drug to getting them on board. Plugs a large hole in the sim market, and the system requirements are tiny!
Good to see a flight sim with retro graphics. While I enjoy DCS and XPlane, it's a bit too tough on my old graphics card. Hope the gameplay is fun, with decent realistic weapons, systems and flight modeling.
Will be cool to see how this runs on the Win 3 while on a flight back home. This and Thunder Helix have kinda revived my love for sim-lite games with older school graphics
Ralfi tweeted at RUclips/google about it and the Hoggit subreddit has a couple of post about it. He's tried doing account recovery but apparently the hackers changed the account information.

Looks fun, thanks for making this! Got to love Ralfi, running out of fuel just to make a point that once we play it we do not do the same. Because everyone knows Ralfi never runs out of fuel normally *wink-wink*
I have some problems, so the thing is, i launch into freeflight, but after the map loads, it says flight, but then it changes to a message saying (init - player] for some reason, then it is stuck on that message and doesnt load. Does that have something to do with my network or what?
I wish somebody would bring back F/A-18 Korea Gold. Even though I'm fully immersed in DCS nowadays, I would love to play that throwback again. This games graphics reminded me of that.
Seems perfect for me. I'm not hardcore enough to get into DCS, but I also wanted something less "arcadey" than, say, GTAV's flight controls. Will definitely follow this one's development.
This looks like a modern version of Falcon 3.0…the nostalgia will wear off fast, sadly. They have a long road ahead of they will want to challenge DCS, but good luck!

The only "flight sim" my gpu could handle
lol I was searching for this and I get a notification
Holy shit! Microprose is still in existence?! I remember playing some of their older games on an old 286 I had back in the late 80s to early 90s.
I might have to replace dcs with this
Have been waiting for this one for quite a while!
I'm suprised you havent looked at VTOLvr yet, just got a multiplayer
+20% for VTOL VR on this channel! /)
goddamn seems like this channel got hacked
All this game needs now is a decent sound track
Yeah absolutely like EF 2000 and others
Looks like a game I had on the Amiga.
Also you flew most of the video with your Air Brakes engaged.
Noticed that too
Reminds me of the old A-10 Cuba! Great throwback!
First and last look hahaha
This is a one man creation btw
>Sand Island Airbase
I see someone on the dev team is an Ace Combat fan.
*the one person on the dev team
Weird that there's no mention on anywhere else that his channel is hacked
Ralfi tweeted at RUclips/google about it and the Hoggit subreddit has a couple of post about it. He's tried doing account recovery but apparently the hackers changed the account information.
A10 Cuba was better ;)
This reminds me a lot of YS-Flight. The graphics and style of gameplay especially. Almost like a complete carbon copy with updated visuals and better menus.
Can't have a Ralfi video without him running out of fuel
Fuel level: _MaStEr CaUtIoN!_
And that's exactly how the game should tell us that... :D
I've been following the dev, Why485, from way back when he used to put up DCS videos. It's been really cool to see the development of this game from the ground up.
Looks fun, thanks for making this! Got to love Ralfi, running out of fuel just to make a point that once we play it we do not do the same. Because everyone knows Ralfi never runs out of fuel normally *wink-wink*
DCS on a budget
I have some problems, so the thing is, i launch into freeflight, but after the map loads, it says flight, but then it changes to a message saying (init - player] for some reason, then it is stuck on that message and doesnt load. Does that have something to do with my network or what?
Did you just say the flight model for VTOL and STOL movement in the Harrier is...SIMPLIER in /DCS/?
I'm not prepared for this. My body is not ready.
So Microprose improved its Grafics a bit since the 90´s ..thats great XD
I wish somebody would bring back F/A-18 Korea Gold. Even though I'm fully immersed in DCS nowadays, I would love to play that throwback again. This games graphics reminded me of that.
Looks like A-10 cuba? Or maybe a DCS in 16bits
VR support?
Great video. Been looking forward to this. Launched today. $19.99USD but 30% off right now so only $13.99USD
These guys definitely were fans of Ace Combat 5.
I actually still have the original tca on my family's desktop(F20 is master race, change my mind), and I love these low level graphics more than war thunder's, plus for once the Russian vehicle had to take them back seat for once. *coughcoughwarthundercoughcough*
