Thanks guys: You have captured the splendid solitude, that exists at this time of year. Being older, I am finding problems with tents I continually have to bend over in; Tim's tent seems to have solved that problem. Thanks Brian 78
Hi Guys I’m also 78 I found my legs cramping up after a few portages. I found that Gatorade sugar free helps me get over that problem. FYI for us older farts. Cheers thanks.
great video of a beautiful lake. Is the lake big enough for a kayaking day trip ie about 3 hours, no portaging, just stay on that lake? - not an overnight but just a day trip? thanks. We found Coon Lake a bit to small for day trip but Long lake was perfect
I believe it took about an hour and a bit to paddle from put in to the portage to the next lake. So you could make a day trip out of it. Or if you want to portage into Crab lake, it is a short easy portage, Crab Lake is gorgeous and there is a hiking trail in the South West corner.
Hey guys. Great video by the way. Truly enjoyable. I was wondering what campsite number you had occupied on Wolfe Lake? Looked like a pretty good spot. I'm already planning for next spring. Can't wait!!
Hi guys. is it required to reserve a camping site? I checked on Ontario parks and thy don't show neither wolfe lake nor Crab lake. And tim what s the brand of your tent please?
@@elieli7313 hello. Yes, you must reserve a campsite. Ontario Parks Reservations, Backcountry, Kawartha Highlands. The lakes will show up when you search. In this case our access point was Wolf Lake. I’m not sure what brand Tim’s tent is, it’s just a basic 6 person tent. Mine is a Tentsile. It hangs from the trees. Great tent.
The one in that video is the Tentsile Stingray. It is fairly large and fairly heavy. Much of the weight is in the metal ratchets that you use with the straps. They do make smaller lighter versions but they will still be heavier than a ground tent because you are carrying the ratchets and straps. I did this video about the tents I have a while back. Might give you a better idea. ruclips.net/video/T9RljZlBTBY/видео.html

Warren Clute Can’t remember the actual number, but is was the furthest South site. Last one before the portage to Crab Lake.

What the the name of that tent? The one that is off the ground? Does it pack up small?
