Yeah l was really wondering if this was true cause a lot of people say on the net it caused fat loss. Last thing l want to do is losing face fat at the age of 30😂

@@susanvee1 Wow, hat's off to you for having a doctor who was attentive and willing to write the prescription. Can I ask if you have / had pigmentation problems and, if yes, if it helped? I think my skin is Retin-A proof. :-( I used trentinoin for at least 12 years and had zero improvement in the small spot on my cheek (or the oiliness of my skin). I always use sunscreen. In those 12 years I gained other dark spots which are clearly here to stay. Then Corona hit and my country was out of trentinoin for a year. A year without it and nothing happened. My skin didn't take a sharp left and start to fall apart. I didn't look 5 years older. Now I've been back on trentinoin for 6 months and - again - no difference. Except some peeling when I restarted, my skin looks the same as it did without. I use it every day.
Funny aside: I went to the dermo to get Retin-A for anti-aging benefits all those years ago. He looked at my face and asked, "But don't you want to take care of the melasma?! I can burn those off and you'll look so much better." I didn't realize that I had melasma (just thought I had one brown spot) and 'burning' anything off my face sounded alarming. In all those years I never went back to him. My GP kept refilling my prescription. As I said, nothing has improved and I've gained more brown spots. During Corona I made an appointment to the same dermo and I went in asking for the 'burn those off my face' option. He glanced at my face and said there wasn't anything bad enough or big enough to call for that. What?! I guess he had racked up enough experience burning things off that he wasn't itching to do it to everyone who walked through the door anymore. :-)

I haven’t kept up with this week’s videos because I started a new job after being unemployed for a while! I was so beat from getting up early and being on my feet all day every day that I slept 14 hours last night 😳 happy Sunday everyone!
Congratualtions on your new job! I stand all day too. Apparently the Dr Scholls shoe insoles for Plantar Facitis make it more comfortable to wear flat shoes all day...even if you don't have this condition. I was thinking of getting them for my (too flat) ballet style and Converse shoes.

Yeah, when I buy on Amazon I make sure I only buy from the Amazon stores of the actual product I am buying. If I can’t find the actual verified storefront on Amazon, I often won’t buy it out of fear it could be a counterfeit or expired ect.
But what if the retinol is from the Ordinary or Paula's Choice? Lol just kidding 😂🤣

I have started to applying sunscreen in the morning and not washing my face, and I must say, I absolutely love it!! I am using a mineral sunscreen from coppertone , and I love it!! 👌

Hey Dr. Dray, HAPPY SUNDAY! I was reminded to tell you that after you spoke about the Cereve tinted mineral sunscreen, I finally found it and LOVE it. I only wish they had it in a higher SPF, but that’s ok. Thanks for all the amazing advise and recommendations.
I bought that sunscreen to, prematurely, because when I got home my thought was what's the point in wearing it now since a mass covers most of my face? So hopefully it will still have a good expiration date on it when I can ditch the mask for a little while at least, maybe on weekends.

I just got literally the same silicone pineapple ice cube mold from the dollar store last week.
They aren’t the same. I have both - the one from the dollar store is not nearly as flexible and the pineapples aren’t as big. They are similar so if anyone is looking for a decent dupe it’s a good choice but it’s harder to remove the contents because of the material it’s made of

Just got back from a dermatologist appointment to obtain prescription retinoid. Through my discussions with my doc, she was very impressed with the products I’ve been using for my skin thus far. She had never heard a patient say they use Vanicream Z bar for chest breakouts which I learned about from Dr Dray. Dr Dray FTW!!!

I've been meaning to mention that I had allergy patch tests done, and sure enough, at 58 years of age, I have developed fragrance allergies! Oh no! Let me finish up using my $1.15 sunscreen that I got from Kroger, equal to Coppertone sport, that has fragrance in it. I'll have to stop doing that no matter how great the sale but I really didn't notice when I purchased it. You know all those sales stickers all over the container.

I went through patch testing 18 months ago and found out that I’m allergic to 10+ ingredients (i.e. fragrances: Linalool & Limonene; preservatives: Gallates, Methylisothiazolinone, & Methylchloroisothiazolinone; Benzoyl Peroxide; Formaldehyde Releasers; Nickel; Cobalt; Chrome; Shellac). It’s nice to finally know what to avoid.
That’s funny, I tone down my use of actives and retinol in the winter and bring it back up in the summer because of windburn, extreme cold, blasting car heaters etc. I feel like my skin is more resilient and needs more exfoliating in summer.
I would love you to make a video for antiaging on the eye area specificly, not only crow's feet but also down and upper lids 🙏❤

The biggest beef I have with purchasing sunscreen on Amazon is I tend to get short expiry dates (once it was less than a month away). Other skincare products don't bother me as much as to what their expiry is but sunscreen matters to me.

I have acne and hyperpigmentation scars. So salicylic acid wash day and night works well for me. Altruist brand sunscreen works so well for me I hope that nothing ever goes wrong with it, because it is so good on my dark skin for sun protection
I always get a tan when I wear Altruist so I don't think it protects well. I started using the Mychelle brand tinted sunscreen, the physical kind.
