He had just decided to hide away after giving up violence entirely and started fighting against Twitch Chat (The voices canonically) to not kill things, then the Butcher Gang came up and forced him to fight again. That's why he said that. You prove nothing.

Hey! So many people that know this artist probably know her for her WoF animatics, and this new fandom may be new and confusing to them. I'll try to brief you guys on what's going on, to the best of my abilities :)). The four characters at the beginning are (from left to right) Tommy, Wilbur, and Technoblade. The man at 0:14 is Philza, the father of Wilbur and old friend of Techno. At 0:21 you'll see the main antagonist of the server, Dream. He manipulates pretty much everyone to get what he wants (hence the puppet strings on his fingers). At 0:36, Technoblade is destroying a country that Wilbur created called L'manberg, since he values anarchy and hates government. A lot of stuff happens, and Wilbur becomes another antagonist and is killed. He comes back as an innocent ghost named Ghostbur (seen at 0:43). Some MORE stuff happens, and Dream is imprisoned (0:50) for hurting Tommy and his friend Tubbo, and for manipulating every person on the server. Dream would have been killed, but he is in possession of a book that can bring the dead back to life. All those evil characters, such as Wilbur and Schlatt (a character not relevant to these events) can come back, along with anyone else who dies in the future. A whole lotta stuff happens, and Tommy is fed up with Dream. His plan is to sneak into prison to kill Dream. His plan is to have Ghostbur go in, with Tommy following close behind under an invisibility potion. It goes horribly wrong, though. Dream manages to take Ghostbur hostage and threatens to bring Wilbur back to life, which not only would unleash a power that could potentially free Dream, but it would also kill Ghostbur. Tommy begs the warden to let him go over and save Ghostbur (1:05) but the warden won't let him due to security breaches. Dream follows through on his threat, and Wilbur is revived (1:01). 0:56 These two characters are Tubbo and Ranboo (left to right). They are platonically married to one another and are both close friends of Tommy. Tubbo and Tommy both have felt the manipulation of Wilbur, and Ranboo has experienced the aftermath. 1:06 Wilbur described being revived as a train, being conducted by Dream, arriving into the afterlife. The train picked up Wilbur and dropped off a sobbing Ghostbur. It was a heartbreaking scene and animators just love to hurt their fans but making it as angsty as possible (not complaining tho). 1:11 Is a really cool scene. Wilbur has been revived, and he stands over the remains of his broken country as the sun rises and he says, "This is my sunrise." Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo all watch him, unsure of how to react to all of this. An antagonist that they thought they had gotten rid of was back, and he has resumed his emotional manipulation with Tommy (best shown at 1:13, with Wilbur's glee and Tommy's distress). Btw, the blue sheep at 1:19 is named Friend, and was the beloved pet sheep of Ghostbur. Wilbur treated the sheep with disgust and was bemused by how Tommy cared about it. And, finally, 1:33 has the card that says, "It was never meant to be." That has been a quote said time and time again by characters. First said by Eret during his betrayal in the first war, then by Wilbur when he blew up his country, and again by Nikki when she burnt down the tree of L'manberg. AHHH you got down pretty much all the events perfectly!! i was worried it would get confusing at times because of the very fast paced time jumps (like how it shows dream being imprisoned then immediately tommy's planning to kill him despite lots of time and events happening inbetween) but you explained it very well! gwaa im screaming at the fact someone took the time to explain it all through that was really nice of you thank

Thanks for explaining! I’m still trying to catch up on what happened on the Dream SMP so this helps a lot! One question: so are Ghostbur and Wilbur (alive) supposed to be different characters or just personalities? Just a bit confused there is all!
@@starfruitdraws3946 It's a little difficult to understand and explain, but I think what Wilbur intended was for them to be different characters. Because when (SPOILER ALERT) Tommy died, he met Wil in the afterlife while Ghostbur was still "alive" and kicking with the rest of the living folk. While Ghostbur is TECHNICALLY the ghost of Wilbur, Wil's soul was in the afterlife? Except Ghostbur had amnesia, and all he could really remember was the good memories (and also Phil killing him, but he viewed that as a good memory). Ghostbur also insisted time and time again that he wasn't Alivebur (his name for pre-death Wilbur) whenever someone got mad at him and blamed him for the things that Wilbur did. And when Wilbur was revived, he got some of the memories that Ghostbur had despite the fact that Ghostbur _died_ and now resides in the afterlife. It's confusing to explain and it makes more sense when you watch the streams honestly, I wish I could explain it better
HELLO HELLO THANK YOU SO MUCH for the feedback this has gotten!! i seriously appreciate it so much waaaaa i have no words to describe how much it means to me>>>> 0:55 that flash is supposed to show how c!tommy was killed by c!dream cause tommy is preparing to go into the prison to kill dream now 0:56 i drew both tubbo and ranboo without a sketch at 5 am when i did an allnighter and cried. i later went back in and edited them a ton because it looked so bad 1:04 dream closes the revival book in his prison cell, it pans out through the lava (red background) to show tommy yelling at sam yall wanted to know where sam was hes there hes a silhouette being yelled at by a child 1:06 i tried to pull off a train i hope it looks like theyre on a train 1:08 this i dont think ive seen anybody comment abt yet so im excited to explain- this shows dreams hand grabbing a heart, symbolizing the things people love. he uses the things people love as his form of control and power, hence the heart turning into puppet strings- but at the end the strings get cut off cause hes in prison and losing his power 1:14 haha boop 1:18 FRIEND !! friend. we love him 1:30 a few people caught onto this but the card depicts a bloody handprint on a button, pretty self explanatory for "oh the things we do" and then flips to the 'it was never meant to be' for "the things we say"
This is freaking _cool._ I love the "No" "Yes" bit with Tommy and Dream, which I have to guess is a reference to their reactions when Wilbur set off the TNT. A subtle nod, but very fun.

The symbolism is magical, the Phil part made me physically shiver because, oh god, they really did take after their father's brutal ways. watched this before i began watching the dsmp and then just watched it again after, i knew so many more characters and i FINALLY understand the "it was never meant to be" card at the end... i did the same thing with a squid game animation and its insane how much more sense the animation makes now
the dislikes are people who loved it so much they turned their screen upside down to like also, the **boop** at 1:13 shows how little respect wilbur has for the demon child, in cannon and irl

what you should do is the 30-10-20-5 rule, work for 30 minutes, break for 10, work for 20, break for 5, work for 10 then you're done for the time being, usually come back an hour or 2 later and do it again, that's how i do my writing and class work and it works

Wow, this is amazing! So much is packed into the animation yet nothing feels cluttered or forced. Love the depiction of the scene with Wilbur's return. The coat was so smooth. Love the ending with the 'It was never meant to be' card. Additionally, I also loved the symbolism behind 'Golden Rule and Jungle' being Ghostbur and Alivebur respectively. Ghostbur always wanted peace and strove to be kind albeit naive meanwhile Alivebur was/is cutthroat and more chaotic. Great job!

Thanks for explaining! I’m still trying to catch up on what happened on the Dream SMP so this helps a lot! One question: so are Ghostbur and Wilbur (alive) supposed to be different characters or just personalities? Just a bit confused there is all!
@@starfruitdraws3946 It's a little difficult to understand and explain, but I think what Wilbur intended was for them to be different characters. Because when (SPOILER ALERT) Tommy died, he met Wil in the afterlife while Ghostbur was still "alive" and kicking with the rest of the living folk. While Ghostbur is TECHNICALLY the ghost of Wilbur, Wil's soul was in the afterlife? Except Ghostbur had amnesia, and all he could really remember was the good memories (and also Phil killing him, but he viewed that as a good memory). Ghostbur also insisted time and time again that he wasn't Alivebur (his name for pre-death Wilbur) whenever someone got mad at him and blamed him for the things that Wilbur did. And when Wilbur was revived, he got some of the memories that Ghostbur had despite the fact that Ghostbur _died_ and now resides in the afterlife. It's confusing to explain and it makes more sense when you watch the streams honestly, I wish I could explain it better

1:08 this i dont think ive seen anybody comment abt yet so im excited to explain- this shows dreams hand grabbing a heart, symbolizing the things people love. he uses the things people love as his form of control and power, hence the heart turning into puppet strings- but at the end the strings get cut off cause hes in prison and losing his power

This is one of, if not the, best animation in this entire fandom. I am in utter fucking awe. The symbolism is magical, the Phil part made me physically shiver because, oh god, they really did take after their father's brutal ways. In a weird way, I think it was the 'capitalist communist' that most hit me.

Wow, this is amazing! So much is packed into the animation yet nothing feels cluttered or forced. Love the depiction of the scene with Wilbur's return. The coat was so smooth. Love the ending with the 'It was never meant to be' card. Additionally, I also loved the symbolism behind 'Golden Rule and Jungle' being Ghostbur and Alivebur respectively. Ghostbur always wanted peace and strove to be kind albeit naive meanwhile Alivebur was/is cutthroat and more chaotic. Great job!
