    • @TheRuaileBuaileOfLife
      @TheRuaileBuaileOfLife 6 лет назад

      That's because he is essentially saying your name (and mine too). Alannah, alana, and a leana are all derivatives of 'a leanbh', which literally means 'baby'. Traditionally, it was a term of endearment for children, recently used as a first name for girls

    Wow, that's amazing! But is it sung by Ed or is it a cover? Sounds like Ed's voice and pronunciation but I don't think he can speak Irish

      It's actually him, he learned the song in Irish for a performance in Ireland

      It’s him. He has Irish heritage & family there.it probably took a lot of time & Effort, but Ed doesn’t do anything half way. He’s brilliant 🇮🇪

    I never realized that they did this track with an out of tune guitar. Weird.

    I love it but you can definitely tell he's not Irish, there's quite a few pronounciations a bit off 😂

      +Jaffa Cakes The thing is, he was in Australia when he recorded this. He got the lyrics sent to him and how pronounce each word. Was to do with some charity gig..not quite sure what but, yeah he was only given like an hour to get it recorded. Its fucking brilliant.

    It would be better to sing this with a Gaelic speaker!! This is painful to listen to for anyone who speaks the language...

    Why ruin a good song by putting it in Irish
