I tried many time but it didn't work when I created the clipping mask. My letters just stayed solid white with the solid colour background....something is missed out. i went through the video second by sevcond..
Make sure you create clipping mask for the image layer and not the text layer! And make sure that the text layer is below the image layer! Try it and let me know to guide you

Then... Try to make sure that image layer is just above the text in the workspace. And check your image opacity too.
