Randy and his son Jay are 4th and 5th generation farmers from Central Illinois. Follow them as Jay films the day to day on Salisbury Farms!
Randy cam sounds like a great idea. You are a team and seeing both sides of the team would be fantastic.

Great video Jay and Randy
great video. Guys. Love all of y’all video. Thank you
Appreciate ya!
We just got two new 16 row one trippers. A lot less grease points, but we will see how well those sealed bearings last.
Been looking at upgrading to the new units for that reason! Let me know how they are!
@@salisburyfarms we run liquid through ours so they are a little different. But we are on 36-inch rows and these suckers are heavy,,,, the 8R410 grunts when the three point lifts.
Just an early bird. Glad to be watching strip tilling versus harvest right now
Glad to be getting out of harvest as well. This winter has been crazy for me. Hoping to get caught up very soon.
Check the top sprockets of feeder house. Shouldnt jump unless chain ain't tight. Maybe if u get a big slug
7120 we put a brand new sprocket on and tightened every year. Would jump within a day. Lol
This Deere took all of harvest before it jumped, so I’m assuming a big slug.
@@salisburyfarmsI think sprockets usually r close to replacing around 1200hrs
Thanks 😊
Welcome! 😁
So what is the date of this video? I have seen a couple of your vids but they seems months and months old
November 10th. Date is always right after the intro! Hopefully I’ll be caught up soon and it won’t be so confusing.
Love your videos any way that you can post more often?
Absolutely. Soon I’m going to have a set schedule and hoping to do 2-3 videos a week. Had a lot going on this winter with moving houses, getting internet figured out and a few family health issues.. will be posting more regularly very soon!!
@@salisburyfarms that's good, you're one of my favorites on here!
Well thank you, I appreciate you watching!!
You’re dad smoking them cigarettes , my brother smoked for years, I kept telling you need to stop smoking, he always said I’ll never stop smoking, now he’s on oxygen with bad lungs, he says you were right, I smoked from 12 years old to 19 years old and I’m thank GOD he helped me quit
They say it's the hardest addiction to quit.
I agree! He’s quit a few times, but the stress of farming has always sucked him back in.
