This is such a good review, cuz! This show is sweet, funny, and sad, Give me 3 seasons! Mel's problem is that she doesn't love herself- everything stems from that. It's why she pushes away Alex because she's scared to let him see and love her. She rejects him before he rejects her. It is why she pushes away the management class at first even though we see immediately that she's great at her job. I'm here for her learning to love herself and take risks and build a bugger friend circle. Our girl deserves! Also airport Bae was fine as hell. Natasha learned from Issa, cast them fine men. Also, soon that little fraud she committed is going to blow up in her face.

I’m from TN. Speaking of helping people with technology: My late grandmother who was born in the 1920’s, once asked me if I would get her “a cell phone that didn’t have a camera”….and I asked “why?” and she said “because I don’t know how to get the film out, to be dropped off to develop the pictures at Walmart.” 😂 and when I tried to explain that’s not how that worked anymore, everything is digital, she literally did not believe me. One of my favorite memories lol. ❤

Exactly this! Make it make sense. He has everything (money, connections, friends, security, a relationship) she has almost nothing, and he wants her to give up something that could add to her life? Immediately no.

I finally sat down to watch this series knowing it would be good and to close to my own personal experience. Yes we want to be seen and to make it happen we have to be true to self, find real friendship and not to be afraid to try new things .

Love. This. SHOW!!! Finished, but I’m about to start re-watching it! It gives me the same vibes as the first time I watched Insecure 👏👏👏 I resonate with “Mel” SO MUCH & I like the supporting cast of characters too! I’ve followed Comedian CP (Shawn) from AllDef for a while, and he was even one of the co-producers. I remember seeing him on a few lives while they were filming this show in Canada! You’re gonna LUV a the 2nd half of the season if you liked this part!

Thanks for the breakdown cuz there were so many illogical choices Mel made that I got all kinds of lost, starting with her sharing her crab rangoon with Ratatouille. I was like, no way in h*** would that happen IRL! 😆
Yes!! So many of her decisions made no sense to me. Her reason for breaking up with Alex was so cliche but nonsensical within the show. And then her choosing to crash Alex’s wedding… and so many foolishness in between.

My parents took their Roku off the WiF connection for no reason. After three phone calls and two FaceTimes, I had to drive to their house just put in the WiFi password. Only for my mom to call me the next day to tell me they did it again. Why do they have to touch everything?

I am not able to walk for long distances so I have to get wheelchair assistance at airports… you skip to the front of security and are the first to get on the plane!!! They also will stop you by the bathroom and for food( I usually get them something too)….. you have to tip… otherwise it is free

LOL. Ok. I used that service before where they had to drive me, in a van, to my gate. They had to drive me on the runway and go up a special elevator that was outside to enter the building so that I can go onto the plane. This was at JFK back in the late 90s. I got that service because I was a 23 yo mother of twin 10 mths olds traveling alone coming from overseas. Did I look crazy because my kids had motion sickness and wouldn't sleep for nine hours? And I wasn't able to really use the bathroom because my kids hated everyone on the plane. So they were kind enough to get me to my gate to finish the last leg of my trip from hell. Good times.
