I’m so jealous!!! I grew up watching F-4s fly over often times at low altitude above our home near Clark AFB, Philippines. And when my dad took me on base I get to watch them real close as they taxi and park close to the hangar he worked in. Watching them take off and land was so cool! Lots of fun memories! I had built various models but never got to build an RC like this! My cousin was also a USAF F4 Wild Weasel WSO before moving to the F15E Strike Eagle.
Nicely done, One of two of my favorite military jets, first favorite the F4 Phantom. Then the TomCat. I had a 1/10 scale F4 Phantom back in the day before the EDG, Turbines. It had a OS91 ducted fan engine. It flew great, set up for landing drop the flaps throttle up just a little, then slowly drop throttle to my sink rate I liked ,the mains would touch while holding up the nose and let it drop on its own.
One thing about auto restart.. don't touch the throttle during the process. My kt 102g4 flamed out after landing and being stopped. After~ 60 flights, I forgot I had autorestart enabled. I tested it before installation. Anyway, I immediately started messing with the Th & trim to engage the cooling. The resulting auto restart sequence must have become compromised, and resulted in a hot start. The bird was about 150ft away. Didnt know my 65 yr old legs still had so much spunk! We were able to reach the bird with my blower to stop the flames. The (20x foam T-45) bird suffered remarkably little damage. In fact, no repairs were warranted. Not a neg on this turbine. It has been flawless. The problem was the decel delay needed tweaking due to it never being run/flown on a abnormally hot/humid day. The flameout was repeatable until I made the change.
Thanks. The one thing that varies is the equipment your using. ON a swiwin or Xicoy engine you probably wouldn't have the issues you mentioned. I have tried both with going into restart mode and moving throttle stick with zero issue.
Outstanding series of How Too videos....Nice job...love the Jeti demo's also...glad to see you use Logical Switching... shows a very competent understanding of an outstanding Control System...
Enjoyed building videos. Very nice well detailed plane great job building it I hope owner will film it flying. I grew up with F4 Phantom during Vietnam War, love the look fully armament is scary
I have a couple of paint color questions 1. The cockpit looks a little blue where it needs to be like a medium grey (F.S. 36231) and 2. In the close up of the tail I see the outline for the formation light they should be a sorta lime green( you can just Google it very easily) there should be one on the tail mid fuselage and the nose both sides.
Wow, just stunning. I have a humble mediocre question. Although size does matter; how does the F-4 Phantom handle in comparison to the F-16 Falcon? I have a much different class jet, a F-16 Thunderbirds 90MM EDF, and it's very "slippery" in the air.
Well done!next vids going to be the maiden probably.but i noticed one thing,i think your feet were too close to the engines.maybe you could just get a stand and then do engines?and secure the plane to make sure it doesnt do the maiden prematurely!
Nice aircraft also my favorite jet. My only issue as with most of these scale aircraft is the overly pronounced grafics & detailing by the manufacturer. Still a nice aircraft!
@@thelightersideofrc dang it way beyond this Oldmans income , but it had to know. Forever stuck with foamy planes . With winter just around the corner , I shall attempt to build , YRF-4E, 62-12200. Was able to get details from WPAFB Museum . I'll post if it works . Thanks for answering.

Thanks Terry! Hard to beat the old Heavy Metal aircraft!
Amazing Phantom 👍 Beautiful. I like the cat too 😊
Thank you very much!
Such a beauty. Sad to see it come to an end. Awesome job!
Thank you! Thanks for following along!
Awesome!
Thanks!
On the testing I was half expecting your buddy to go flying through the workshop
HAHA. No kidding! Lots of push!
OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
wow!!
Thanks Dean!
Very cool jet my friend..
Thanks for watching!
@@thelightersideofrc always been a fan of the F-4 and F-15 Eagle
Beautiful jet, and great video. Your cat loves you so much ! Haha
Thank you very much! Yes she is a hoot!
Fantastic job. Wish i had your skills. The F-4 is and has been my favorite since my Air Force days. Keep up the great videos. Enjoy them all.
Thank you very much!

Fly that at the peril of your life!
😎
It was a pleasure watching this build. But we'd love to watch the process of packaging up and shipping a built model of this size!
LOL. Such a boring step in the process! BUT good suggestion!
When you throttle up, i get a fizzing sensation in parts i didn't know i had😂
Oh I know that feeling! it's 10X in person!

Propane?
Sounds incredibly real down to the startup howl.
Beautiful
No. Pretty much every new model turbine is Fuel Start and runs off kerosene, JetA or Diesel. Thanks for watching!

All of these colors/details were done by the manufacture.
😉👌
😎
Oh cool I should get the RCCG machine! Checks price 😂
The best tools are costly!
Aaaaaaand I just ordered one 😂. Got a Top RC Cougar build next. Will be nice to not use my fingers to check cg
wow thats alot of smoke in short time lol
LOL. Yea it needs to be turned down a bit.

Jonathan question would Putting two small fans in front of the inlet give the engine better Air ?
I don't think so. It would ultimately probablay add som restriction as at full throttle the amount of air moving through these is very substantial.
Big toy for big boys. I must have it. I dreamt this when I was younger.
👍😎
No powered canopy?
Nope.
Great Job as usual. Any particular reason you used the tape vs the BVM heat shield paint?
On those specific parts the tape was quick and easy. We used BVM Heat shield on the Turkey feathers and Top of wing below turbines.
I wonder why this plane wasnt pushing him forward like the f-16 did on max throttle!! This beast has two engines...
I never went to full sustained throttle! Was blasting too many rocks around.
Nice aircraft also my favorite jet. My only issue as with most of these scale aircraft is the overly pronounced grafics & detailing by the manufacturer. Still a nice aircraft!
Thanks for watching!
Can it fly on one engine if one fails?
Yes for sure.
Hi Jonathan when are you going to do a set up on spectrum radio. You know all the in and out of jetti. I have a spectrum IX20. Fly safe thank you 🙏🙏🇵🇷
No spektrum setup here! I have one but only fly my foamy bind and flies with it
What does a toy like that cost ?
ill estimate 15000
All in your probably in the 25K range.

when u gonna fly it?
I believe the owner will maiden next spring.
Would it be too late to rename this channel 'Jets with Nez'. ?
🤣
😂 very appropriate!
Just go full scale and get it over with.
