Hgreat joob on the ball starter. Just got into muzzle loading myself, this is a nice thing to make range shooting a bit easier. I have been using cnc machines for a while now and just ran a few of these with mesquite. I cut counterbore slightly larger than the barrel O.D. so the balls are self centering.
Excellent, something I should try at some point. I've never had a need for one as I shoot bore diameter greased round ball with no patch in my smooth bores. I don't have any rifles that use patched round ball. But I do have a couple 1820s militia muskets with odd sized bores that need a patched ball.
Cute, but walls are too thin and will break out. Try drawing a pattern on graph paper and seeing how it lays out next time.. some things are better off, not to eyeball
