My guess is, that the lunch lady would not let kids bring in their homemade lunches in the cafeteria, claiming that it's filthy and dirty, but clearly, she doesn't want the kids to eat from home, and force them to pay to eat, and if a child can't afford to eat, she would let them starve, because I believe that she hates children. And this is unacceptable!
This actually happens IRL. My kid ran out of money on her account once and they actually took her hot tray away and gave her a frozen PB&J and half frozen carrots. Mind you, I was regularly donated to the lunch fund for kids without. My kid didn’t get offered anything from that fund as well.

@Randy Easily I know its not real, but I seriously had friends that were in Scottys position. It didnt go to the same extreme, but when my parents gave me money to have desert with my lunch, I gave it to some of my friends so they could have something at lunch time.

Scotty shouldn't be forced to stop eating, he was hungry. The chef shouldn't jump to conclusions, the "cleaning lady" might be his mother. My outcome: After hearing about how their kids were being treated by the lunch lady, the parents threatened the principal with lawsuits. The principal was able to convince the parents to drop the lawsuits by explaining the situation and promising that it will never happen again. Said promise also involved firing the lunch lady and permanently banning her from the school grounds.
I like your outcome. But in my outcome, the students who couldnt afford lunch would get a free lunch, and it would be earned by becoming janitors for the lunch period AFTER they ate.

Close to my latter years of working, there was a work club called "Job Club" which was set aside for those with disabilities. This is a good job training video for anyone who wants to hold down the job of a school lunch person. The old lady who played Gwen shows us the wrong way to treat students that don't have money. And the woman who played Darlene was being kind and although demonstrated that sometimes it pays to help out those who are in need. Only mistake Darlene made was that she didn't go straight to the principal to file a report on the lunch lady or make a suggestion for those who are poor. If you witness improper behavior, report it to your supervisor but do it behind closed doors.
Well, yes, that's true. She should've done that. But the problem there is that he might've just deliberately bypassed the report completely. Instead, she should've maybe taken it to the administration board, since the members are pretty much the principal's bosses.

In Maryland HC 2015 2020 we fed all of the children. I believe it was due to the governor at the time. It was a blessing for the Military kids who had parents deployed and winter's when fishing boat businesses were docked.👍

I believe there is a Federal Statute that sets aside food for needy children. The cafeteria lady was breaking a federal law.

In Maryland HC 2015 2020 we fed all of the children. I believe it was due to the governor at the time. It was a blessing for the Military kids who had parents deployed and winter's when fishing boat businesses were docked.👍

Teaching children the Wrong things.
It's not the child's fault if parents can't or don't have money. He can eat and pay later. I would have starved if it weren't for school food!! It was GOOD! Back in my Days. Home cooked!! Today's school lunches are horrible. Needs to get better!
Lunch woman needs to learn kindness! Her actions speak enough for herself. If gotta feed them all to feed one, then feed them all! Get an organization going for support for Food. Find a way!!!
