It's really disappointing to see how many people have questions in this thread and Arlo has not bothered to answer one of them. Great customer service guys!!! 😒

I'm wondering, why is the Arlo Video Doorbell still not integrated with Samsung's Smartthings app? A bunch of Arlo smart cameras are integrated with Smartthings but not the video doorbell. It would be a huge help if we can manage the doorbell via the Smartthings app instead of having to download an additional dedicated app.
Can I record the videos from the doorbell in the "hub" from arlo Ultra in order to avoid the monthly fees or only the ultra cameras record to the physical memory?
Obviously this is to avoid the need for constantly changing batteries. No need to purchase this one if you prefer a completely wireless/battery driven solution right?
Order a 24 Volt transformer from amazon and just skip the step with the chime box. You'll wire this right into the arlo using the leads. www.amazon.com/Hotop-Transformer-Thermostat-Compatible-Honeywell/dp/B07FT2RCG9/ref=sr_1_27?dchild=1&keywords=24v+transformer&qid=1586877280&sr=8-27
If the company is making a how-to video that involves any electrical wiring, at least show the proper procedure. When you showed the wires being attached to the back of the doorbell camera, it shows the red wire being tightened under the screw terminal but it is wrapped backwards. Wires always have to wrapped around the screw in the same direction the screw turns. The white wire was shown correctly.
Product was rushed to market. Has several installation flaws. Router, guest network, doorbell transformer, etc. Not to mention poor technical support. Poorly made, poorly designed. Very disappointed. Hopefully I get full refund.
It seems from the video that the unit can easily be taken/stolen off the wall by thieves since there are no security screws retaining it like the Ring Doorbell does. It seems like a great device with a lot of features, but is Arlo addressing this one obvious deficiency?
Lots of items can be taken off a house by a thief. Since this won't work w/out the adapter in the chime box, it would be of no use to them. Besides, you would have them on video prior to removal.

Can you safety theft secure this device?
Bought Arlo wired ring bell and when I try to set it up, it is asking me to locate my existing chime box. I don't have an existing f%ckin chime box! I have two Arlo 2 Chimes and it looks like I am screwed. How a company can survive with such bad customer service, I don't know. See the comments below, most are asking product questions that Arlo should address. Also, when the product says wired vs not wired are you referring to the doorbell being wired to a power or doorbell being wired to a chime? I can't tell which is which because it is confusing!
We appreciate you reaching out. To check on the difference between the wire-free and wired version of the doorbell, you may reference:

Please does it work with ALEXA DEVISE INSTAED OF HIS CHIME?
DOES NOT SHOW HOW TO WIRE A DIGITAL BELL WITH EXISTING TRANSFORMER
door bell Instagram easy perfect, the app n connection to your device takes you to limbo
I had this product for 7 months before it ceased to give Motion Alerts via Alexa. There is no phone support for Tech Issues. Customer Support is conducted via a Chat function within the app to a contract service in a 3-world country. Buyer beware. Traded in for Ring video doorbell. Dreadful experience.
Why the ad bros?
Nice!!! That would be a great addition to my Arlo Pro 2 system. Hey Arlo hook a brother up 🙋🏾♂️😬
Never knew it had to have an existing door bell system to work...wasted my freaking money. Was hoping it was as simple as they say but without an existing (old style doorbell system as I see it) this item is worthless. Should have its own chime system with it (for the price I paid should have it).
Need to know how to install your first arlo doorbell
Neither this dorbell nor the floodlight camera work with the app. Both products are a hassel of you ever change your wifi password. I will try to get it to work but seems like a bad product.
Power on or off?
For the love of god turn ur wires in the direction of the screw turn! Otherwise good video.
perfect for small jobs in the garage
Yup, I'm about to use this pieces of trash as a skipping stones. If I need to constantly fix, adjust, unmount, reset, reset, reset , reset, reset and seriously make this a full time job, I should just hire a damn security company. THIS IS NOT A SECURITY CAMERA !!!!!!!!!
I don't had chime or doorbell... please help me
The video should start with the warning that you need 16-24V AC for the video to work, I found out this after installed it and it did not work. Now I need to find and change my doorbell transformer….very disappointed
Where are you from? I've bought one that comes with a new transformer though I've noticed shops (UK) like Currys sell it without it 🤔
I just bought this but my door bell box is near the ceiling. I can’t reach 😑😑😑
I wasn't able to return the Arlo Video doorbell because I was deployed and came back home several months after I received the package. I wasted over $100.00 on this useless product.

Everything looked great until I heard paid subscription after a free trial period. I will never buy anything that depends on a paid subscription. Sorry Arlo... I'm out till the service is free. Or better yet, the features of the device don't at all depend on a service (i.e. the app functions as the service).
Lol
Worst customer support out there. DO NOT BUY!
Are you a Biden voter? jw
Still doesn't show you how to secure it so it doesn't get nicked
very poor instructions I return the item, certified electricians are non expert at all with these new devises and this is the second one I return because of poor instructions and electricians do not know how it works!
Arlo I want my money back a simple refund. People please read the BBB reviews on this company
Holy crap! There are 69 pages of complaints about this company! I bought the doorbell and a camera. Came here to watch the how-to fir installation. Praying everything works like it should - otherwise looks like I'm screwed....
This doorbell is awful. Set up is beyond irritating. It doesn’t read the QR code. Such a stupid way to set this up. I’m getting a Ring
