Just ate there a few weeks ago. The Mrs and I started out with a couple of cocktails, we also enjoyed the crab cake and a single piece of bacon for the appetizer. Dinner was the porterhouse for two, medium rare, plus a side dish of creamed spinach. Great food and outstanding service. Plus it helped that the meal was comped due to our $100 celebration dinner certificate, along with cashing in our rewards points.

The New York Times gave a one star review to Luger's a few years ago but that has not been my experience. I've only been to the NYC Luger's a couple of times but I thought the steak was great. So will visit the Las Vegas Lugers when I can. You are a lot tougher than most Las Vegas reviewers so a favorable review from you really means something. - keep up the good work.

People freaking out about the price when that's pretty standard price for a Vegas Steakhouse. Sure, they are places where you can get a cheaper steak, but that doesn't mean it's going to be this quality. My only gripe with places like Peter Lugers is that they are 100% done in a broiler instead of good old school wood/charcoal fire. I can taste the difference instantly and idk if i can look at broiler steaks the same way lol.

@@michaelgutman4910The quality of the meat at Lugers and other top notch steak houses is prime, usually from elite meat suppliers. Way better sourced meat than a Publix, Costco. They also expertly age the meat. For a steak that size, IMO $79 isn’t outrageous. I do reverse sear on steaks thicker than 1 1/4”. I usually go 1.5 “ Finish in cast iron, butter, garlic, thyme.

I would not. This Peter Luger has the same problem as the one in Brooklyn. They are cooking the steak in a 'broiler" of about 1600 degrees. A broiler will never give you the 'char" taste of smoky wood or charcoal. Also the cut of steak and ounces of steak are not on the menu. The price is 'around" average for Vegas steak house. They actually charge 90.00 in NY for the 'steak for one".

    $79,95, I'd do the Buffett.
Pedantic bread etiquette people would ask that you break the thing into little pieces and spread butter on each individual morsel.

my viewers and the never ending use of big high education words! I had to look up Pedantic! never heard of that word before! I am just a common working man... aint no smarty pants. But I am glad I looked it up, good to learn new words in a real life manner than to HAVE To learn words like back in school for no other reason than gotta pass a test... but this is just me. My friend Christine in Vietnam have a degree in big words, I bet she knows what Pedantic means right off the top of her head! I will msg her now...

Christine has a degree in "english literature"... so either that means degree of big words, or it can be a degree of alot of words

@@dannythemedic my bad DTM. I remembered a past video where viewers were giving you a hard time about eating buttered rolls in a steak restaurant. I commented that you were the customer and could eat it any way you like. So my comment in this video was a jab at those folks. Happy Steak Dinner to you Sir. Pedantic- excessively concerned over minor details or “anal retentive”.

Hmm I would say it was worth the price for the great bread, service, and delish steak. They really went overboard with the bread, wow! The steak and little extra service was nice too. And this was definitely a tons better experience than the steak u had to send back a couple videos ago! The waiter was a bit pushy tho with the insisting on doing things for u lol. But I like my space and ppl not touching my stuff so that's just my preference.
