I don't think that your Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier Pro are really rendering your video clips during export. Around 4:16 and 11:00, I saw your export status in Final Cut Pro, and it was showing "Rendering" status as "Idle". The software had probably done the background rendering of your video, while you were setting up your layers. So while exporting, Macbook was only doing "Encoding" tasks, which is a CPU intensive job. The GPU was probably not used in your final export. Same thing is with Adobe Premier Pro as is was also showing "Encoding" in its final Export status bar. Try to turn OFF "background rendering" in both and then export the videos to test the GPU power.

@@RudraSingh-pb5ls we work on the lower quality of the footage so playback will be smooth. If you use high quality footage editting will be fine but when playback that's the time more of your CPU is being used and when playback some of the frames gets dropped. So Taxing means putting more stress
good review … FCPX will always perform better the premier pro as its more optimised with the machine. And using the magnetic timeline will give even better workflow and performance.
Premier Pro render takes lot of time reason being it uses CPU and does not make use the GPU when rendering. So I moved to Davinci Resolve for editing. It's hardly crashes unlike Premier Pro keeps on crashing. Premier Pro uses GPU only for effects

M1 max can handle canon r5/r6 raw footages and canon r5/r6 have very very heavy footages to edit. So, it can easily handle your Sony A7SIII footages. Previous macbook pro 16inch i9 was struggling with a7SIII 10 bit but M1 max can do it. 4k 120fps 10bit is easier to edit than canon r5/r6 raw. I hope it was useful.........

As long as you don't want to resell it later it's all good. Else when you'll want to sell it the gst refund that your friend will get, govt. will charge again some percentage of it. All this is valid for upto around 5 years I guess, don't remember the exact numbers.

A very wrong information that you provided there... if you keep a video on top of another video the below layer doesn't need playback as its getting overlayed by the top layer. To check if it can play multiple 8k videos, create a split screen and then playback... you will get the results. Also, when you edit ad films, web series, documentary or a film. It's shot on cameras like Arri Alexa or Red and the total disc space it requires is in terabytes so we use apple pro res proxy to work on the edit and then send an xml to the colorist which re-links the proxy to the raw and then grades. Thats the workflow for editing

Turn off background render and then try to run 25 layers. Main professions turns off the background render while making the video... You are making timeline. Then waiting for background render. It is just time waste. Just be smart. Watch foreign creator like Max tech Just check the background render file it is over 30gb for real life multiple footage.. Just go with fcpx then you will understand the issues. Our 1Tb M.2 ssds are also nearly 50% full while 2 edits. We have to keep 4tb extrnal hdd side while exporting. Keep growing 😄

13-14 inches of screen size is actually small if you wanna work long hours. of course by stressing your eyes you can go along with 14inches size, anything is possible. but what u can do is, if you have designated workspace where u sit and work, then hook up 14" with external 21-22" or bigger monitor, if you only work in run and gun like situation where u dont sit and work for long hours in one space, then bigger is better and go for 16", technically is we choose same specs in both, 16" is 20k more expensive where one is for 2.40 lac and other is 2.60

M1 max can handle canon r5/r6 raw footages and canon r5/r6 have very very heavy footages to edit. So, it can easily handle your Sony A7SIII footages.
Previous macbook pro 16inch i9 was struggling with a7SIII 10 bit but M1 max can do it.
4k 120fps 10bit is easier to edit than canon r5/r6 raw.
