No it doesn't, haha. Do you think a round trip from the Philippines to Thailand is $40 bucks? Not to mention having to by an onward ticket when returning back to the Philippines ? Nobody goes to Thailand (or any country) and returns to avoid an "exit clearance" of they do, they they have misinformed or don't understand the process.
Hey Alex. The Cebu B I in not in J Center Mall now. It is in Robinsons Galereas, out near S M City. 3rd floor. I renewed my visa today for 2 months. Cost 2,800 pesos. Enjoy your blogs. Keep it up.
I just did my 2 month visa and it just took 30 minutes ( on the immigration form they ask you why you extension) remember be nice to the immigration officer. Did my visa at Davao immigration office.
Hey Alex nice informative spin from the usual topics you cover to the channel. It’s nice to know the visa rules when planning ahead. I can now see why it’s difficult for digital nomads to stay put in one country with all the visa requirements to follow which can be a hinderance for long term settling.
Thank you, and yes, definitely! However, in fairness, the Philippines is the easiest country to stay long-term. Only Georgia comes close with stay up to 1 year without having to renew one's visa
This is good information Alex Lucky for me I'm a Filipino American and Canadian citizen so I don't have to be concerned about this but it is always good to know these things when going in and out of the Philippines 😎😎👍👍🆒🆒
Thanks for the info mate, really helpful!how many days before the end of your visa I should start the extension process? Also, do you know if the immigration office will take extension applications around the Christmas and new year time?
Great information Alex! If someone decides to obtain an exit clearance at a location other than the airport, how long is the clearance valid? Example: Can I use an exit clearance that I obtain from Robinson's Galleria today if my flight out of the PH is scheduled for a future date?
You can but I think it's only valid for a specific number of days like 14 days before your flight. But I'm not sure about thr exact validity. You have to confirm with BI office
You can get that on your 6 month extension, I don't see any use for it. Unless u want to have a form of identification. On a tourist ACR card you can't even open a bank account or anything. But it's mandatory to have one on with your extension. It's included with your extension
Excellent, clear, very helpful!! Where do you get the clearance to leave after 6 months again? That part wasn’t clear? Where at airport? Can I get that from Immigration office in Cebu? How do you get your mail from home? Thank you 🙏🏼
1. You can get it at the cebu city office at the Robinson Galleria office. or at the airport 2. I don't get mail. Anything important, my tenants take a photo and send it to me. Since I trust them fully and allow them to open my mail
Dear Living Abroad: I've heard that the 6-month extension is no longer available. Also, do you have to forfeit your forward airline ticket? What a waste of money. It sounds like a scam between the airlines and the government. What westerner isn't going to have enough money to buy an airline ticket out? Once you stay longer than the initial first month after extending your visa you won't have an onward reservation anyway! I've heard of websites that allow you to make a fake temporary reservation just for the purpose of entering countries that have this ridiculous requirement. Do you know anything about this? By the time you have gone through all of the hassle, any satisfaction one could garner from the travel experience is dubious! Thanks for the information. Sincerely yours,
Very helpful but my question is I thought this acr card was able to open a bank account because when you apply for a srrv you need to a bank account and you need to put $200,000 dollars into the account before you even apply for a srrv visa , so what else’s you need to open one ? Maybe someone can help on this .
so when do you have to exit the country and wait 24 hours before you can come back in? I thought that happened around the 60 or 90 day mark. I would be coming from the USA for the first time and I would probably stay at least 6 months. but I would do anything (even pay extra) to not have to exit the country for 24 hours and then come back in. just a massive hassle.
Great video! Does it mean that we will forfeit the onward/return ticket for the 1st extension? How many days before the last day of visa can we do the extension? And if its allowed, could you share a pdf version of the visa extension form? Thanks alot!
Are these 6 months multientry? For flights, a tip, there are many websites on google that sell fake flights or book a flight for 24 hrs, so you are safe with 15 usd.
Not with a Visa on arrival tourist stamp on your passport. There may be 6 month multientry tourist visas issued if you apply for one from your home country prior to your arrival to the PH. But I wouldn't recommend it due to the application fee and time. It doesn't make sense since entering PH is so easy and extending your stay one you're here etc.
Huh? Why haha. I haven't heard of a single person doing that. It's a simple form you fill out and take a photo at the shop next to the office and they hand you a piece of paper. Nothing else need on our part. It's a simple letter that says you haven't committed any crimes in your 6 mo ths and are clear to go.
Not sure where he's getting his info. Or there's a misunderstanding. But i can guarantee you, nobody id flying in and ouf the cou try to avoid the exit clearance. People vsiit thailand and come back when they've already been here 3 years, so they can restart their 3 year tourist visa allowence. I don't need to investigate. I just did it less than a year ago personally. I also asked when I was at the bureau last week.
I'm pretty sure the cost of the across card is in the 13500 fee, as I recall the last time I did. Regardless, even if it's $40 bucks additional, it's well worth the stag of an extra 6 months.
@@Livingabroadalex That’s a good point but it’s better to know up front so as to not arrive at the emigration office short handed on cash. Thank you for the video and the response.
Im sure this is a great video if Im going to extend my visa but im sure a lot of the viewers and new viewers arent gonna. The amount of energy used to make this video and edit for a small audience who's planning to get visa extended, I dont see much people are gonna watch this full through as it's not an entertaining video but rather, an educational video. Im not saying this is bad but if I am doing youtube for my job, I'd be doing exciting content than a small audience internet video. But hey, thats just me and Im most likely not gonna be watching this since I know I wont be extending my visa anytime soon and changes do occur in future so if I need to, i'll find for that in the future but watching this does get rather boring for me. At least for viewers like myself and new subbed as well who find journey and interview more exciting to watch.

I make long form interviews which don't do as well. I also make daily vlogs like local interactions and going to the market, etc. Which don't do nearly as well. If ALL I wanted were views, then I'd just only do street interviews. 2. India gave me the most views and subscribers. (I'll never go back to india) The Malaysia series was also very popular 3. I've said in my live streams aside from the people, the sense feeling welcomed, and the feeling of home, i cam back to the Philippines because it makes my job (youtube easier) language, approachability and ultimately views. 4. If views were all I cared about, I wouldn't ve leaving the Philippines on Monday While you're free to say what you feel and which videos you like or dislike. Heck, you're free to not even like me.
