As a packer fan this was the only player I wanted in FA due to age and his coverage abilities
I wanted him or Kyle Dugger. But McKinney was the better get with his age and him stepping into his prime with more upside possibly. That was an area that if we wanted to compete for a Superbowl had to be addressed and not by drafting a rookie to have to come in and be the man day 1. And how exciting is it for us Packers fans to see Gute not just address it but go out and get the best Safety I think available. They are thinking what we are thinking. If Jordan Love plays like he did last year and improves even more, which he should, our Superbowl window is now!!! We probably beat San Francisco with a Safety like McKinney. Savage killed us with 2 missed tackles that McKinney probably makes

Availability became a factor. He was out or limited in about 10 or 11 games last year. For that kind of money, they had to move on. It was the only choice they could make.
