- Otto Scharmer talks about how we, as individuals and collectively as a society, create results no one wants - ecological, social and spiritual divide. He talks about what causes such divides and how we can overcome them. He points out that we need to shift to a mindset where we care about the wellbeing of others instead of just looking out for ourselves. He then introduces us to the U.Lab an online course that aims to change, through introspection, how we interact with ourselves, others and nature so as to create a future of harmony.
Otto Scharmer is a senior lecturer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management. He is the co-founder of the Presencing Institute, and the founding chair of the MIT IDEAS Program, that takes leaders from civil society, government and business from Indonesia and China on a nine month action learning journey in order to co-create profound social innovation in their communities. With the German government (GIZ Global Leadership Academy) and the Gross National Happiness Centre in Bhutan, he co-founded the Global Wellbeing and Gross National Happiness Lab, which brings together innovative thinkers from developing and industrialized countries to prototype new ways of measuring well-being and social progress.
Scharmer holds a Ph.D. in economics and management from Witten-Herdecke University in Germany. In 2015 he received the Jamieson Prize for Excellence in teaching from MIT.

My social project at ULab in 2015, was to teach mindfulness to leaders. I organized a Leadership Congress in Brazil, with 5,000 leaders participating virtually in the experiment of self transformation using Mindfulness, and it was an amazing experience.

I am super interested in this area of study. Thanks Otto! However, I do think you need a different "spokes-person" who has "mega" presentation skills. There is a number of better ways to link the slides Otto presented.
Otto, I really love your work and I am a keen follower, however, I had to do a second take to find that you would see a future of free borderless education because last year I enrolled in one of the presensing institute online web courses, as part of my experience I was denied being able to change to a later course when I could not attend having paid. This was my first enrolment and supposed to be the beginning of something great. I question PI's response to me, it felt so misaligned with your vision and unity that it made me question the intent and wherther I wanted to be part of the community.

Una llamada a la colectividad y a la consciencia común (suena esotérico y a mind full ness pero no son jaladas) y nada hace más sentido que un viaje o recorrido. Porque solo el recorrido permite tomar consciencia del dinamismo y de las dimensiones, de la variedad y de la Realidad que está en constante cambio. De algún modo el viaje nos llama a estar en una disposición de exploración, exploración hacia dentro y hacia afuera simultáneamente
El Diálogo intento es como el mind fullness, observar

El diálogo desde la cuarta
Dimensión y nuevo paradigma es: la Capacidad del conjunto social o la consciencia cole toca observarnos a nosotros mismos observando para tomar acción
Diálogo implica verse y conectarse, es
El sistema viéndose a sí mismo no en el sentido egocentrismo sino exocéntrico, o ecocéntrico, reconociéndose desde sus aristas más reales.
En el corto CDC Milec tiene que salir de sí para encontrarse. Y por azar sin saber a dónde ir se cruza con Chabe Chivis y por azar ella está bordando y por coincidencia él en esos días está pintando (vertical)
Al principio Milec mira de
Arriba hacia abajo en posición de poder (aparente) pero tiene un vacío y está extraviado en su adicción y sus apegos, su vida acostumbrada
En medio está frente a Chivis en posición horizontal haciendo diálogo y encuentro
La cámara nos ayuda a comprender cómo está tomando consciencia de
Sí mismo y algo mayor a lo cual pertenece, él es o puede ser parte de una serie de relaciones entre las cuales está Chivis pero esa
Relación es crucial, es Única y original se sale de su ordinariedad sobre el eje de las equis
Estás relaciones forman parte de un todo mayor (donde cabe los ancestros como Chivis los refiere en el diálogo sobre el eje de las equis) si no ocurre algo sobre el eje de las equis no existe.
Lo que ocurre -y que puede afectar nuestras vidas (de hecho quiere afectar nuestras vidas)- sobre el eje de las equis no lo controlamos, es azar, nos desborda y puede llegar en cualquier momento a partir de cualquier cosa.
A Milec le ocurre así.
Al final la posición de Milec es la inversa, está abajo llueve y mira arriba, permanece en el en medio un problemón. Pero está lleno de algo nuevo y que le atrae que tendrá que descifrar y ver qué hacer hacia dónde ir. Como en Niebla podrá estirar la mano y preguntarse a sí mismo a donde voy y se topará con la libertad, el vértigo y la necesidad de elegir.
Estar ante eso es estar descubriendo el sentido
Y no estar ante un final feliz
Las cosas en la vida no terminan
Una película que tiene fin y final feliz es un cuento parcial sesgado poco real

Hum, as already mentionned by others Theorie U is mosty (noble) good intents and hot air. If you are a believer, not to say a member of the sect ,it works (well, that is what believers say). If you are not, it is deadly boring and full of circonvolutions
