Thank you! I was using my Sony A7 on the last two with a wider frame. The ZV-E10 with the 23mm AF lens is still my favorite. Sadly, the ZV-E10 just died after this video, shutter is stuck, so it will be the last from that camera. At least it ended on a high quality note 🙂
I looked for the Razer Kiyo Pro ULTRA and the only place I could find it it at was the Razer store and I have to ship it to the United Kingdom. Do you know if there are any stores in the UK that I can buy it from, so it doesn't get damaged in shipping? Great video by the way!😁
@Jeremy thks for your videos. Those cameras are definitely tricky to setup. I think aswell the firmware updates can change completely the behaviour. I have seen raser cam doing lot of updates... The Kiyo in 2023 is not the same as the updated kiyo in 2024...which is confusing for consumers whatching video reviews on youtube. Its the same with smartphone photo, the camera moduls has become less important than the IA processing live and post process. The landscape is different on microphones: a bad mic is always a bad mic :D
Good question. Depends, because both are good and have different strengths. Assuming you have an external microphone and don't mind Razer Synapse software, I'd say the Kiyo Pro. For simplicity and decent internal microphone + simpler software, then I'd say Brio 500. On image alone though, I think the Kiyo Pro is slightly better.
Also, because the prices are still so low on the Kiyo Pro, you can almost get a Razer Seiren Mini microphone (really good usb mic) and the Kiyo Pro for around $120 on Amazon, which together is close to the MSRP of the Brio 500 (which is almost on sale at the moment).
I already have the pro i dont think the difference is big enough to upgrade for 300$ maybe if i didnt have a webcam already i think both look great. Ill keep my eyes open when black friday hits this year.
Thing is, the Kiyo Pro needs to be in HDR mode to look good with no blown-out whites but then it goes from 1080p 60FPS to a ridiculous 30FPS only which is very sad.
The Logitech C920 is absolute trash compare to the Pro. Even the Non-Pro Razer is better! I'll be giving my C920 to a friend next week then just use my (Sony A7IV) with a passthrough and it's gonna be 1000000x better.
@@GhostDragon-y7o the only webcam with 4k60 is the Elgato Facecam Pro Ultra. I haven't tried that one yet, as it is also $300 and expensive for me to buy.
@@GhostDragon-y7o correct. Everything else is 30fps. When you get to around $300, I would honestly recommend getting a used Sony a5100 with a dummy battery and inexpensive capture card. Even with the kit lens at 1080p, it will still look better than any 4k webcam.
Yes, and you basically have to use the cable supplied by Razer and auto exposure for the Ultra to avoid frame drops and get true 60fps without motion blur (I found that out with my first video on the Ultra). The Facecam is also a great camera for 1080p60 streaming and lighter weight software.
Great content Jeremy. I am here to say thank you for sharing your knowledge about upcoming features about MS Intune, which you did on Andy Malone MVP's RUclips channel.
You compared a 60 dollar (Bought discounted) vs 300 dollar (Retail price) at least compare them at their best setting. I think no one would buy the kiyo pro ultra just to use 1080p, its 4k quality is what makes it the goat. It seems biased and misleading.
Pro Ultra is definitely better, but not that better to cost 3 times more, it's not 3 times better. I think fair price BASED ON quality should be: Kiyo Pro: USD 100 Pro Ultra USD 175 ~ 200 (MAXIMUM)
@@DeployJeremy Thanks for the tip. I was just about to buy a Razer webcam as I'll give the crappy (Logitech C920) I bought recently, at least 50% discounted openbox from Amazon, to a friend but then I just realized with you that I could either get a old cheap mirrorless or even better... use my own (Sony A7IV) with a passthrough and even the cheapest at 30$ "HDMI > USB-C 3.0" will be 100x better than any of these overpriced webcam. I expected that 4K Razer to look way better than this.
Which webcam do you prefer? Here's where you can find them:
Kiyo Pro Ultra: amzn.to/4gdTmjT
Kiyo Pro: amzn.to/4hw0M32
Clearly the Ultra stands out for the price, but the camera used in the beginning DAMN that's a camera
Your video quality out of your main camera has improved again! It's the clearest and sharpest its ever been! Looking good. You changed something?

Yo wth, I didnt expect to see you here
Thanks for the comparison. Just helped me make up my mind on buying a webcam!
Thanks. Your video is enlightening!
Glad it was helpful!
What camera did you use when starting the video? looks so crisp
Thanks. That's the Sony ZV-E10 with a Viltrox 23mm f1.4 autofocus lens. I believe I put the specs in the description.

I don't. I also had to order it from Hong Kong. If it's any help, my camera arrived in perfect condition using nice packaging.
@@DeployJeremy Thankyou! Keep up the good content!😁
improve the color settings in kiyo to make it warmer. Maybe you spend more time in setting the color on your sony. Or it is better out of the box ?
I showed both default and tuned settings for the Razer with white balance set. The Sony is better out of the box, too.

Just the direct information from a non razor fan boy this video right here ( chef kiss )
Why does the Kiyo Pro look like less than 60fps when compared to the Ultra? Was this the effect of the 12% zoom you were talking about?
I don't see it. Maybe youtube compression? When I did the hand wave test, they both look like 60fps and no shutter distortion.
Thing is, the Kiyo Pro needs to be in HDR mode to look good with no blown-out whites but then it goes from 1080p 60FPS to a ridiculous 30FPS only which is very sad.
Nice comparison. The Pro does pretty well for the price. You should compare it to Logitech's lineup now (C920, BRIO 500, BRIO 4K).
That's a great idea. I will do that at some point.
yes please im trying to find out the difference between Brio 500 and kiyo pro

There is a difference, but the $60 Pro compares surprisingly well to the $300 Pro Ultra.

both webcams look the same (terrible). thanks for saving me 300€. I'll look for a cheap APS-C mirrorless second hand or something
Agreed. Mirrorless APS-C cameras even from 2015 (a5100) and even at 1080p are almost always better than the best 4k modern webcams.
