Haha, what a wild run, Martin! Love that you kept your sense of humor through the bogs, fallen trees, and surprise detours. Looking forward to seeing you tackle the Dara 50k - hopefully with fewer surprise "obstacles" in the way! Thanks for sharing your journey; it’s always inspiring and a great reminder of the unpredictable fun in trail running.
Cheers Mihai, we all need to keep our sense of humour, it's the only thing that keeps us sain 🤪 I'll bring you some Dava Way 50k training updates soon enough 😀
Nothing like getting lost in the forest, adrenaline kicks in and you don’t feel tired 🤭 Definitely I prefer the views on your runs, keep running and showing us the magnificent beauty of your forest 👌🏼🙌🏼
Good to be prepared for the unplanned detours, Martin. With the leaves covering the trails, I sometimes lose the trail and maps are helpful. I enjoy both your trail runs and banter because you live in such a beautiful part of the world, and I also enjoy your gear reviews. Looking forward to learning more about your upcoming 50k.
Thanks Reto, it's good to hear folk's thoughts on what they prefer to watch, sometimes we have more time to dedicate to RUclips & I think a little check was in order 😀
Super running Martin! The weather was certainly on your side mate even if the route wasn't 🤣 stunning views as ever and thanks for taking us along for the ride. 👍 As for the content I would say just do whatever you want to do. That way you will feel passionate about it rather than pressured. Your videos are always great anyway mate. 😎🤘
Thanks, Ben, you're right about making content we're passionate about, I think a mixture of vlogs & reviews works for me. Sometimes It's nice to head out without a camera, hence fewer vlogs than I used to make a while ago, work/life/RUclips balance can't always be the same 👍
I like these videos where you're out running. Getting lost adds some fun jeopardy as well 😅 I'm in the, don't pause the watch camp. I would no doubt forget to restart it a lot, otherwise!
Cheers Mark, I do need to make some more of these me going the wrong way in the woods type of videos 🤣 Add in some winter darkness & what could possibly go wrong 😂
Looking good and lively and a good lesson on the fact that trail runs don't always go as planned for a multitude of reasons. Lovely scenery thanks to your fine filming. I enjoy both your runs and reviews. I just happened to buy another Petzl headlamp, the Bindi, for a lightweight option to my more powerful Petzl.
Thanks Brian, I have managed to get some runs in lately on the most beautiful of routes, In fact, once I've replied to comments, I've a day of editing. Yesterday was a day of giving my website a fresh new look, and now today it's video editing, I'll get a run-in at some point today to break things up. I'm sure you'll like the Bindi as a great little backup headlamp 👍
Great video Martin… trees down are still a huge problem in that sort of area in Feshie. You were wise to heed that sign re fallen trees after your first failed attempt down the smaller track… I was there a few weeks back, ignored it and it was bad! Like you I ended up giving up and retracing my steps. Good luck with Dava next month! 😁
Thanks Wendy, I hope at some point they get around to clearing some of the trees & we don't lose those trails forever 🤞 Good job with Rannoch by the way 👏
Really enjoy the running vlogs, and on the back of those, I have copied a couple of your routes from Strava. Would not have known about the Pink House if it wasn't for you, despite being in Inverness. The merch reviews are also really useful as you also mention things to think about when buying items.
Thanks Emma, that's nice to hear & a good reminder for me to not forget about different route videos, we have soooo many choices around here & in the Inverness area 😀
My fave’s are defo when you are out and about, but do what floats your boat at the time. Thanks for taking the time to make them.🤟
It sounds like the out & about videos are fairly popular, so I'll need to do a few more than I have of late 😀

Thanks for the feedback, I'll get some more local runs filmed for sure 👍
Total trail running 😍
I was trying my best to stay off the main paths 😁

Great run Martin. Good thing you don’t have many snakes in your area. That was a lot of down trees.
Thanks Richard, we do have snakes but they're not poisonous & thankfully it's scarce you actually see one 🐍👀
Personally I prefer your out and about running and giving us a bit of your craic and general chit chat 👍🏻
Cheers Soupy, general chit-chat is still on the menu, though the craic has sold out, I'll see if I can order some more in for you 😜

A few little issues, but still looked like a great day outdoors.
Thanks Jay, it was a good day to be out 😀
when strava heatmaps go wrong
I wouldn't advise following this one 😂
So much wasted timber.
Hopefully, one day, they'll clear some of it & make use of it 🤞
