I quite like the idea of the 600ml flasks. The phone pocket and the place for the camera are great incidental features. Excellent review, Martin 👍

Cheers Mark, the phone & camera pockets make it really useful, anything that makes my life easier is good in my books 😀

Seems like a pretty versatile pack, Martin! Your review of the Instinct X8 was super thorough and informative! I love how you pointed out all the little details and quirks, especially about the pockets and adjustments! All the best wishes!

Thanks Mihai, there’s a lot to this pack, I had to make sure I didn’t make the video even longer, I do get excited when it comes to running packs 😀

That back pocket can definitely hold a lot of stuff in it. You can never go wrong with a do it all pack. Especially during the rough times of running long distance. Great review.

Cheers Kev, it's a solid pack for sure, especially if you need to carry a fair bit while you are out 👍

This is a great review, Martin. The only thing I love more than a bloody good bag is a bloody good bag review.

Cracking review Martin! Sounds like you're few minor gripes you have had with the bag are very similar to the few that I have found with it. I was holding off with my review because I want to use it for the 100 miler so I can review it from that angle. Certainly not the ideal summer pack but in terms of versatility it's hard to beat. 😎🤘

Thanks Ben, it's a crackin pack overall & I'm sure it'll keep improving as they update it with future versions. Looking forward to hearing what you say about it, once you've run your 100 Ben 👍

Super detailed review Martin, as usual you give us your humble opinion which I appreciate a lot. How you used it for the camera it is brilliant, actually you could put your drone in it as well considering the capacity. Nice one! Thanks for the review!

Thanks Stelvio, I have carried my drone in the pack, it can fit so much gear, you could take almost anything you'd need within reason, a piano might be a bit of a stretch 🤣

Nice looking pack Martin. I still use an older Ultraspire. Struggling to find one that doesn’t fit so small on me. I like that yours mounts the poles on the front. I remember you tested this brand before on waist belt. I need to check if available in US. Thanks for sharing

Thanks Richard, there's a good size of adjustment with this pack, though I don't know availability in the US? Hopefully, that's an option for you?

Appreciate the detailed and balanced review, Martin. Great looking vest / pack, lots of features, but the straps and weight are important as well. I prefer a stripped-down vest where less is more. The only issue with my current Nathan VaporAir is that the zip side-pockets are hard to access (which has been fixed in the latest version). Thanks!

Thanks Reto, packs can be so personal, we all like our own little features. It sounds like you might need to treat yourself to the new Nathan to get those side pockets sorted 😀

Love the little pull tab for the pole storage--brilliant! Not sure I like the one size, which is fits most at best. That's an incredible big suitcase style full zip open swing door. No doubt most helpful then you want to pack the vest pack when it's on the ground.

    • @TheDeterminedRunner
      @TheDeterminedRunner  3 месяца назад +1

Thanks Brian, that pull tab for the poles is so simple & quick & easy to use! The one size fits myself fine, but I dare say others would need to try it for size to make sure it'll work for them. Are you still heading over for The OMM?

Works well on long ultras (200km+) I suppose. It just feels weird to have the poles in front. I love the review, so thorough.

It would be a great choice for long ultras Simon 👍 Poles at the front is a must for me, you need to give it a go 😀
