About Northend Tower Defense:
A Tower Defense game that innovates on what the genre already have, with it's real time action gameplay. Be the Commander of your own army by taking instant decisions that will change the battle and how you strategize through it.
8 Different of Soldiers to use in your battles, each one has unique Power Points and Weak Points. More type of Units are coming, Vehicles, Airplanes.
2 different Levels to battle on it, one desert combat, with big obstacles like tank and airplane. Second one is on the beach, with towers that are supporting you.
With +40 Upgrades, each round you will have different unit types and different upgrades offered to you to choose from as round progress. You can decide which units to play based on what you see in battle. Different upgrades could be useful in different situations.

That is not how you use paratroopers.
You definitely need to utilize the medics. You don't need to replace all your soldiers as much, if you can keep them alive. They get pretty powerful over time.

Fun fact, PP doesn't stand for Proud Preston as most people think, it actually stands for Princeps Pacis which means Prince of Peace, probably meaning Jesus.
The religious symbolism, including the lamb on the badge, is because Preston back in the day was called Priest Town which is where the modern name comes from. Because we had a huge ratio of priests to everyone else in the country. Which is why we're all a bit weird now I guess.

The "British" Tank is a german A7V which is quite cursed, even more cursed is the fact that the germans use spitfires

your aversion to medics is a very architectural approach to this game
imagine if there was some kind of feature where you could heal your troops instead of needing to constantly play catch-up and spend money replacing them.

On the beach level, you're playing the German side, with American troops, and American planes. The enemy is coming out of American landing crafts, but they are dressed as Germans, and have German planes. I'm lost.
Plus they're using German WW1 tanks with the British Union Jack on the side in a WW2 battle.
It’ll be a cold day in hell before an American (assuming) game dev braves letting the player play as a non traitor / spy / turncoat Nazi. Critics would eat them Alive.

I literally died when I saw the UNION JACK flag on an A7V.... The Union Jack was not even on the British Mark V.
For those who don't know, 2:37 was the WW1 German A7V tank. And being that they were GERMAN had the Iron Cross on them... Another side note, the British Mark V tanks did not even have the Union Jack on them they had white,red,white vertical stipes painted on the front sides of the tank...
I'm going to go cry in a hole now...
I think the worse part is that it makes no sense to have a WW1 tank while everything else is WW2, Imma join you I your hole we'll cry together
The developers clearly have no knowledge of history. Next they are going to have women soldiers fighting in WWII.
@@MAGAMAN this actually happened on the eastern front, idk about the western front but there definitely was women soldiers in the red army, with some very iconic heroines that were very famous among the Soviet people and recognized by the Soviet government
@@mechanicalbird282 Mhm, and unlike some Soviet male POWs who were captures, the Soviet female soldiers were just straight up executed upon surrendering.

When the German tank from WW1 appears on a WW2 battlefield with a British flag on the side.
1: Place a few M1s.
2: Get MG nests up.
3: Place medics. About three spread out is a good start.
4: More MG nests.
5: Spam para drop.
6: More medics.
7: More MG nests.
Basically the map is full of MG nests with medics and M1s for support. It works pretty well. Just be sure to grab the upgrades.
Have we stopped playing Timberborn? That's been my favourite game so far, and I love the episodic runs.
I wonder if that is due to the time investment he has to put into the beavers, I imagine he can bang off a few videos like this in the time it takes to make one Timberborn video. But I agree, those are always great to watch.

And I have the feeling you have a wide area in your trenches for a reason, you placed everything on the frontline, so one explosive hits or strafing run and kills everything; machinegun, soldiers and mortars. Make a staggered defense, mortars at the back, machine guns in the middle, soldiers at the front and in between. Also I have the feeling medics are very important.

Looks like the enemy units have the same star logo on the troop transport as the planes dropping the paratroopers. I am really confused as to why he is killing his own men.
I am also confused as to why he is dropping paratroopers on his own side of the lines. Why parachute them in when they can just drive in?

The fact that RCE plays the part of the corps of engineers harkens back to the history of civil engineering itself, in the Roman Republic/Empire era, where the term "civil engineering" was coined to distinguish it from the Roman military engineering discipline.
Whoever did the English UI translations seems to have a worse grasp on the language than Google translate. It's an art form at this point! XD

It really comes down to the price. When it in the 10-20€ range I think it can be a really good on-off game. It reminds me of those flashgames but having enough depth to justify a real pricetag and not a free flashgame
it's 4 euro's and really worth it. Played it for 6 hours straight today and firmly enjoying it.

As someone that is a big fan of tanks it hurts me that at 2:36 they put a British flag on a German tank design being the A7V witch is short for Sturmpanzerwagen Allgemeines Kriegsdepartment, 7. Abteilung, Verkehrswesen. Hopefully there is no more missmatches in the rest of this video/game. The fact that it is a WW1 tank in DDAY makes it worse and the fact that only 20 were produced i guess this game is not historicly accurate. I just realised that the Americans are Defending and the Germans are attacking im going to stop adding to this comment im geting carried away.

Might be worth letting the Devs know that using a red cross on a white background to denote medics is technically a breach of the Geneva Convention. Best make it green before full release

Ahh yes, when an A7V German tank with a British insignia fought along side a panzer 6 (tiger 1)
I don't get the fascination with mortars. they do dmg sure, when they hit something. most of the time the rest of the troops here or dudes in rogue tower are already dead when the mortar touches the ground effectively doing 0 dmg. instead of mortars shoul have gone for medics to heal the troops instead of wasting money buying new ones
In rogue tower I always set them to most armour, then health, then shields so they are rarely lobbing rounds at things that have a chance of dying before it gets there.

the mistake you were making is that it's much cheaper to heal your units with the medic than it is to replace them, next time around you should definitely try the medic, Id wager that it's worth it
