So many awesome shots in this episode. I must say that I like your b/w work even better than the color work. Q2 with red filter is an amazing combination.
Nice,I agree with you that the image of the guy and the birds works really well. This is the print I would choose. Glad you had such a good time without any danger. 📷📷📷
I absolutely love that pigeon photo, it is so nice when you’re able to get so close without losing the shot. That’s one of the nice things about pigeons, they don’t frighten so easy.
Great beach shots, reminded me of Martin Parr but in B&W, which I think I prefered. Absolutely love the pigeons shot and the guy with the fish feeding the birds
Photography extraordinary as always. Yes, the photo of the 'birdman" is superb, but I also like a lot the photo of the people and the boat on the beach and the racquet player. With your extensive travel in Mexico, and if you feel comfortable, it would be interesting to hear your, or share, experiences while traveling during these times, like flights, accommodations and daily life in a country like Mexico, which seems to have a more relaxed approach than many countries here in Europe, especially Germany. Many thanks!.😊📷👍
You always produce some great street (or sometimes beach?) shots and this was no exception. A good eye is crucial for street photography and everything else comes a distant 2nd. The "man and bird" shot is excellent, but I have to admit that my favorite would be the 'family' image. I think it's because of the umbrellas framing the picture, but more so because of the contrast between the organic (family, sand, natural) with the industrial/commercial dwarfing them ( hotel, steel, jagged edges). And hats off to you for ignoring the warnings about it being unsafe (from people who probably never leave their armchairs). I've found that no matter where I travelled most people are the same as me, decent and friendly people who just want to live their lives in peace and interact with others. We're all really the same, we've just been conditioned into thinking we're not by people who want to keep us separated.
Thank you! Yes, that's exactly what I've experienced over the last years traveling the world. Most people are really nice and welcoming no mater where you go! :)
Great shots. I like your videos. They have a high quality, which not many of the pov street photo videos on RUclips don´t have. So keep up the good work. I am looking forward to see more.
GANBATTE! Liebe Grüße Jürgen Mayer 🇩🇪
The high contrast Monochrom M10 with the red filter is winning me over. The photo of the bird guy is amazing.👍 Although I would be tempted to take out the dissipated vapor trail in the sky in post.
Thanks for the video. Very nice photos! Always amazed by your ability to get close to people. It looks very nice there. My favorite is also the guy with the bird, it’s incredible
Really nice shots ! The family is my favourite, framing work very well, and also textures of palm sun unbrella and of the building architecture are absolutely fabulous. The guy with brids is really good, I really like the shape of the main bird and the foot of the guy, but maybe the framing is too or not enough minimalistic...
Expectation fulfilled. Even more than that. My favourite is the family between the two umbrellas; and of course the guy feeding the birds. For how long will you be staying in Mex?
My fav shot is the one with the family, I like the graphic background and the way the are spread out in the frame and how they look. But also I have a question, I went to the Leica store here in Amsterdam to asked about the red filter you’re using. But they told me Leica isn’t making any so what brand is it? Thank you! :)
Arriving in Mazatlan for the first time 18 months ago, the first thing to hit me was the humidity. No wonder you were sweating after your hill climb. Next was the friendliness of the people. You captured that perfectly. Love the high contrast B&W - it’s very unexpected for beach photos, and works brilliantly
Definitely another great video! Mazatlán is just very volatile because of the cartels, can be 'dangeurous' but overall as the rest of Mexico ( not as cool as Monterrey of course LOL ), very safe. My Favourite was the one of the guy feeding the seagulls of course haha. Quick question, I'm looking to print my Zines also, I live in Germany and I'm guessing you're printing them here as well, any recommendations?
Yeah, everyone seems to love the birdman. So do I. It is not perfect to me though even if it is perfectly caught in the moment, because I wish more of the seagull had made it to the upper right-hand corner than what actually has. Just because of that «almost» I’d like to go with the action-packed image nr. 4 instead. Great background, composition and a well-caught beach scene. As for the pigeons, I think they may have mastered social distancing too :)). Really nice episode!
All brilliant shots man👊...are you ever inclined use the yellow filter over the red one? Or do you use the red cause of the heavy sunlight situations?...I tend to gravitate more to the yellow a bit more cause for the affect it has on skin tones...
For consistency I wanted to stick to one filter only. I've tried a yellow filter but didn't like it that much. The orange filter though is also really nice.
@@therealsirrobin thnx for replying.. that's interesting...I used the yellow 15 and compared it to the 25 red and the red is about a stop darker to me... I never considered using the orange but I'll look into it... thanks again 👊👊
Thank you, Sir Robin, for all of your great videos. I could tell you were having a lot of fun in this session. One question, which I'm sure you've answered before, but I missed it: Are you taking a single exposure of each scene, or are you selecting the best from a series of rapidly shot frames? Before I post, I want to reiterate how much I have learned from you. You are a mentor.
@@therealsirrobin i actually just had one in my hands two days ago , incredible indeed aside the leica user experience i fell in love with the viewfinder that i found to be much better that anything i tried before ... Can’t afford it righ now but started saving !

Such and amazing photo, the man and the bird is one of my favorites shots from you!
So coole Fotos die Du wieder gemacht hast.Mein Favorit ist die lächelnde Familie vor dem Hotel.Diese zwei Ebenen bringen dem Bild ein tollen Look
I absolutely love that pigeon photo, it is so nice when you’re able to get so close without losing the shot. That’s one of the nice things about pigeons, they don’t frighten so easy.
Excellent shots.
B/W is mystical !
Thanks for sharing
I like them all, but I'd probably choose #2. Looking forward to the next episode Robin! Thanks for doing these.
Quality as always dude 👌 some cracking shots!! I like the family, print no3 at the end, the young guy on the left sits up for the shot almost..!!
Love the pic of the family in the beach! Cool episode!
Love the bird feeding photo and great video.
Great beach shots, reminded me of Martin Parr but in B&W, which I think I prefered. Absolutely love the pigeons shot and the guy with the fish feeding the birds
Excellent work. The video was entertaining and the photos were beautiful.
Always wonderful shots! :)
Amazing photos again! And the seagull shot... wow, it should win an award, really!
The picture of the man of the beach feeding the seagulls is amazing. I love the layering and the lines. I would love to have it.
Great video man. the man with the Bird and foot kicked out.

Love the images, you’re an inspiration. I love the bird guy. Thanks for posting .
The Bird Man shot has to be one of your best shots that I've seen IMO. So Manny elements working together and perfect timing.

Great vid and captures. Love it.

I agree with most people commenting. The man feeding the birds was very cool. Great photo!

Thank you! :) Yes, Leica don't make one which is a little strange but you can use other brands like b+w or Heliopan.
One of the best episodes and images ever. I hate that music too... LOL!
A fine attitude from the people around you and some amazing shots as those to the bird man.....what a wonderful day!!
