Hi Ricky, I found your channel through your excellent Mage Knight playthroughs (recently got that game myself) and am really binging on all these great series. I rarely ever leave youtube comments but I really feel the need to compliment you here. The editing on all your videos is top-notch, and the commentary is perfect -- very concise but also at an easy pace. Very relaxing and entertaining to watch. Particularly love the Mage Knight playthroughs and the Too Many Bones vids. This one looks to be lovely and very thematic as well. Keep doing what you do!
Found this tucked away on the bottom shelf of a local comic/gaming store today and snatched it up. Looking forward to giving it a few runs to get the turn order and rules down, but, before even opening the box, I'll think I'll watch this series once or twice... I think it'll do more good then trying to read through the rule book, though maybe I should actually take a look at the rule book before making that determination... lol BTW, saw the card game Friday on the shelf there too, so decided to stay in theme and picked that up as well. Quick little filler game, played 3 games in a half hour. Easy fun, before the challenging slog.
I FINALLY found a copy of this in a local store. Lots of work to set up, but a very rich gaming experience. I survived to the end, but was slow setting up my shelter and could not finish the wood pile.
This is right at the top of my 'must try' list. It looks great. First observation is that the main board would be better in three or four pieces, as it is quite big and pieces would allow it to be arranged more conveniently on the available play area.
thanks ! I already fixed this in the next Ep which is filmed and being edited.. we will walkthrough the first Round , learning how a round of this game plays... ! Thanks for watching, Rick
Nice Rick, looking forward to this one. Wanted to try this in Essen, but their boot was always so crowded. If you went, I hope you will be playing Spellbound..
Robinson Crusoe washed up in Southampton today, just about to spend a few hours learning it with you, thanks Ricky! :) been wanting this game ever since this video came out....
Stick with the series. It looks complicated, but it's actually pretty simple and there are very few rules to remember. Each round flows along and everything you really need to know is in front of you on the board and cards. Should be an easy one to pick up.
Someone made a quick reference guide print out that tells you step by step what to do. And btw...there are two copies a German and English? How do I know which is the English? Lol
Where do you keep up to date on game releases, especially accessing games in the UK. I assume you are also in the UK? I am currently using BoardGameGeek, TheDiceTower and a few channels on RUclips including yours. However, is there a site that tells you when a game has a UK release vs. US release etc?
tomsmith100 Good question. I keep an eye on distributors mainly. There's not really a website to give you this info. I have a collection of sites I check for UK stock and upcoming releases.
thank you for you answer, i'm currently playing a lot of mage knight and crusoe and i would like to add another quality solo game to that , what do you suggest? cheers
palo569 some of the thematic highlights of 2014 were Upper Deck's Legendary: Encounters, Ares's Galaxy Defenders and Navajo Wars from GMT (released 2013)
I love the graphics, parchment sketchy handwritten look. The designer nailed it.

that awesome moment when you realize that a game you want to learn has been giving the ricky royal treatment.... So happy
Thanks again Ricky. Once more I only need to skim the manual when my copy gets here. I'm very grateful for your vids.

Have fun! The first scenario is not easy to beat ;)

Learned this game last night with two friends. Fantastic!
Thanks for your walkthrough, I have the game, but the guide was very confusing to read, so your guide helped quite a bit getting it working!.
Oh wow. This looks really cool and was never even on my radar. Looking forward to seeing it in action.
Just recently found you channel - loving the playthroughs. Can't wait for the next episode, very keen on getting Robinson Crusoe

Great stuff ! Hope you enjoy the game Mark :)
First play: Died of exposure in the 7th month. That weather sure turns bad fast! Love it.
Great ! Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for this video series! Helped me a great deal!
I have had my eye on this game. Thanks for doing the playthrough, Rick!

Looks interesting, if a bit complicated. Glad you are doing a let's play.
Thanks for these, the directions were quite confusing to me so this helped a lot.
There are tons of really good new games this year....
Very well done! Only complaint so far: you mixed the pawns of Friday and the dog! ;) Friday gets the white pawn and the dog the punk one...
You're welcome Stasia. Enjoy the series. Hope it helps you decide...
Rebel.pl distribution. Not sure where you can get this in the States. Check out BGG
That's a good call.. I could add it to the wishlist... I'll add a link in the video description
Can't wait for next part!
It's on its way....
That's a very curious "cube" he's got there at 12:56. ;)
haha.. good spot.

Hi Rick, could you do a solo playthrough on game Level 7 Escape?
Great stuff Rick , a brand new game , did you go to Essen?
Thanks !
Awesome tutorial!
Great video. Where did you get that partition for separating your board game pieces? Thanks
I want this game too
Hi, no I didn't go. I got this one in the post on pre-order.
Rick , can I ask where.did you buy this game and the price paid , thanks
Quick question, when you build the mast, can I use it once per round? It is it more of a time thing?
It's a one-time thing, yes.
WILSON!

is it a good game ?
Of course I meant "pink" not "punk". ;)
did this game go out of print already? it's almost impossible to find.
+penoyer79 it should be restocking
have you had any lucky beating these scenarios? i have yet to notch a victory...and i'm hardly a slouch gamer.
did your top 30 solo games changed since the last one?
palo569 Yes! Most definitely ! I would like to do an update before the end of January
thank you for you answer, i'm currently playing a lot of mage knight and crusoe and i would like to add another quality solo game to that , what do you suggest?

Punk would be better.. that dog looks tougher than pink...
