Thank you for the great video. I have a mixer tap with compression valves. Does this mean I can use lever handles on compression valve type taps? Or does this only convert ceramic disc type taps?
I have just come across your channel, I have kitchen sink taps that I want to change to lever taps, I have purchased the taps, but, I would like to know if I can just replace the top of the tap with the top of the leaver tap, at the moment I cannot find a tutorial to replace both my kitchen taps with the leaver ones I have purchased. ?
Pls can you demo’ how to tighten a dripping lever tap.
Very helpful Thanks

Hi, I have these same taps which I quite like the style of. Wishing to cure a leak, I`ve been wondering how on earth to get the tops off ( no grub screw etc). Just by chance, I spotted them on your video - end of puzzle. Not the intention of the video, I know, but thanks all the same. I agree they are not the most practical design, especially with wet hands. However, I thought I would see how they look with two slightly undersize black rubber O rings fitted into the groves - 2 on each cap, as are often fitted to custom footpegs on a motorcycle. If they look naff, I`ll just bin the idea. Just a thought. Anyhow thanks again Dave
I'm glad the video helped
Thanks for the comment 👍
exact same here! Couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get them off!
very good video thanks, will this fit my kitchen mixer taps ?
Not sure about that, sorry.
I think these are intended for traditional pillar taps, not mixer taps.
Where can I buy this conversion kit? Can't find one like this anywhere.

I thought you only just fitted them?
How do you take off the disc at the top without marking the chrome ?
You can remove it using a strap wrench- ruclips.net/video/wfKHz1yf1uI/видео.html
Thanks for the comment 👍
Should be in line with spout when off.. neater 👍

I did the same thing for my father, and the cold tap turns itself on all the time! they are now in the bin! old taps that work are back in!
Do you have really high water pressure?
no, turned water pressure down to next to nothing, its the wide thread they put on the spindle turn, I put on ceramic disc valve taps and they are hunky dory!
Appreciate that info’ as it might explain the intermittent dripping tap.
Can these taps be converted into a mixer tap? Or am I just wishful thinking?
No, you would have to replace the taps completely with a mixer tap 👍
@@ultimatehandyman I worded it wrong. It was late and my brain wasn't engaged. what I meant to ask was can 2 single taps be replaced with 1 mixer 😂😂😂 or do I need to replace the sink too?
@@CassandraLondon Yes, you can replace them with a mixer tap, but it needs to be a two-hole mixer tap.

@@ultimatehandyman thank you so much
