Just watched your video after buying some cnd additives and not really knowing what to do with them. Excellent tutorial. If that pink is titled haut pink then it's actually pronounced like haute coutur which would make the haut part pronounced "hote" the o would be long like in boat or home or joke not short like in hot or not or plot. Sorry..I was an English major in college... amid I have a massive case of OCD so I can't help it !! Just think hote pink. Play on words. Thanks for the great tutorial. Now I know how to use my additives.
Hello. Please read the FAQ on my blog at chickettes . com, you may find some helpful tips there. The key to not damaging your nails is properly soaking it off and not peeling or scraping it off.
Love this video - thanks for the tutorial! I’ve just done the polka dots but when I took off the powder with the IPA a couple of the dots came off. Why is this and what can I do to prevent it? Thank you!
Hello. Thanks for this video! I have a question though: I recently made a gradient with pigments on the whole nail (on top of the tacky layer of a color of soak-off gel polish) and after that I covered the gradient with the finish gel shine. The problem is that my customer said that it was peeling off after just one day! Do you have any tips for this? Thank you again!
Yanett Cepeda I know this is late but just incase you are still looking for a solution- Wipe the pigment off the free edge before putting top coat just because top coat does not adhere well to the pigments.hth:-))
just tried this,it looked lovely although it left bumps where i had done the dots in top coat.did i do them too thick? i only used a tiny amount of top coat
That's normal. You can add a second layer of top coat to try to even them out, but generally when you do dots with gel you will have some bumps unless you want to buff them down which I don't recommend with this method.
On the nail which you design the zebra stripes. Once you wipe the nail with the wipe should you or should not lightly buff the nail before gel top coating.
These powders are amazing. BUT, eyeshadow works exactly the same. I was going to buy them but then i saw the price! Almost $100 for all 10 if these? No way! I tried using eyeshadow and it works perfectly fine. No need for these if you have eyeshadow
knknailart go on wish app they sell them in huge bundles for 20-30 bucks or even individuals for like 80 cents lol i just got a holographic giltter pigment for a dollar eighty shipping and all
you can use ordinary polish. just apply the pigment when the polish is still a little tacky to the touch. Seal with topcoat and use water to remove excess powder
That was awesome Andrea, thank you for sharing! Now I have to go buy all that stuff to experiment with. I wanna do the polka dots...and that gradient was gorgeous too! (*˘︶˘*)
Im addicted to nails and i love watching your videos, your so calm and clear with fab ideas xx

if you dont use gel polish you can get the same look with eye shadow and a layer of "the best glue ever" it stays super tacky!
mineral eyeshadows work really well.

is there a way to do this without gel products; I'm allergic to them; Great idea though. Thanks

are you useing this on acrylic nails? i was told you couldn't use gel on acrylic nails...true or false????
My nails are natural. I'm not sure if you can use gel on acrylic. Probably not as the acrylic would also soak-off.
You can use gel polish on acrylic but you would have to file it off to remove it or else your acrylic would melt
Was the base coat and top coat a gel polish
Yes
