Cheers for this, just used it to help me replace my screen. Not as daunting as i first thought although had to break old screen off in bits, couldn't get all off in one go even with tape on screen. Used the 3M tape instead of glue that came with the kit I bought though.

So I did the repair and it wasn't too bad but sadly I only got a red dot over my screen and the screen never powered on :(
I didn't repair my phone but it's in the same state as you mentioned. I just the red notification light blinking 4-5 times when tried to charge😔

Yellow spots on Huawei displays are a very popular problem. These spots appear if you strongly press down the display or from a strong heating of the chips. From this it darkens LOCA glue, which holds the touch screen and the display together.
Yellow spots do not affect the operation of the smartphone. If they do not bother you, then calmly use the device. If the spots interfere, then the display module needs to be replaced (as shown in the video).

thats why I never stick with high end phones.. its replacement are expensive, even if you DIY, the cost parts still expensive, especially LCD. This Honor Play and Pocophone are example good specs and great LCD, if you buy flagship model, not a budget segment, you gonna stick with damaged LCD for sometimes cuz of the price. usually glass only damaged.

First you need to restart the phone using a combination of "hot reboot" (Hold Volome Up + Power button). Sometimes it helps to reconnect the display module.
If the touchscreen is broken, then a replacement is needed.

@@AreBelongToUs1 ir was defective I ended up buying a new one from eBay. You can get a refund as long as you can proof your screen came defective just get it connected and record a video of you trying to get a touch response that was enough AliExpress

What Glue are you using @5:55?
B700 glue, most common glue for phone reparations. You can find it on Amazon :)

I think in your case it was replaced by the display unit together with the frame. Ie, it was not necessary to wait for the glue to dry out as in my video.

@@胖胖虎-g4s Disassembling the phone will not solve the problem easily. As for dismantling the board, you need to pull out the SIM slot.
Try to press the holder of the SIM inside, then using the key to pull out the SIM card holder.

Sending a message in a bottle here. I follow your method to change my screen yesterday and the phone doesn't take charge anymore. Works perfectly fine till went low battery I pluged it, and it turn off. When i unplug it reboot. Now battery is dead and telephone don't charge anymore ... :(
Have you correctly connected the cable (flex) between the auxiliary board and the main one? It is with an arrow and the arrow should point to the main board (up). 2:46

Unfortunately, the Chinese colleagues glued the display module to the frame is extremely bad. That's why I prefer to do it. But the display module is easier to change if it is with a frame.
