    Let’s give it up for White for having two cards in the top five! A wonderful saga that helps ramp then becomes a creature that helps build your army, and a crazy board wipe!

    • @chrisgebben2043
      @chrisgebben2043 2 года назад

      yep that saga chapter 2 is actually even better than that it said permanent 2 or less what was not mention is you can just get a fetchland ready to go to get the correct dual land or Triome in the situation of your hand. and with Amulet of vigor it will come in untapped whatever it is.

    So I am going to argue that white is THE best at MASS removal. In terms of whipes there is no equal. However I don't want to run 7 whipes, in most decks I'm happy with 2. But still good on Wizards for printing good white cards even an actual mono white piece of ramp!

    Something I noticed about mechtitan core: in a pinch it’s boardwipe protection for an artifact creature deck. It’s not the most efficient but the ability to save your best 4 artifact creatures could be helpful.

    • @AC3handle
      @AC3handle 2 года назад +1

      couple of other aspects that's interestink, is a) you can do the exile effect at any point in time, it doesn't say use only as sorcery.
      b) if you can turn other creatures into artifacts, they can become part of it.
      Something I DO have to wonder though, if another player puts a removal spell on any of the 4 artifacts onto the stack,
      does that cause the mech titan core effect to fizzle?

    • @MsZoeval
      @MsZoeval 2 года назад +1

      @@AC3handle Since the exile part is before the semi colon, it's part of the cost.
      Paying a cost does not allow anyone to actually respond.
      So no, there is nothing you opponent can do to prevent you from exiling your artifacts. ;)

    Just like the modal lands from zendikar, the Channel are so good because in the late game they are spells when you topdeck them. It is very often a mistake in the early turns to hold onto them as opposed to using them as a way to drop

    Seems like Eater of Virtue would be an incredibly fun build around for a commander deck. You could play Rograkh and just let him stay in exile, and have Akiri, Line-Slinger or Ardenn, Intrepid Archeologist. Now you have access to tons of artifact tutors and recursion. It'd be awesome.

    Eater of Virtue is like the perfect card for a Kathril/Soulflayer deck. Although you'd probably want to make it WUBRG for Chromanticore, Sphinx of the Steel Wind and Odric, Lunarch Marshal.

    Love your work and have been following you for a while now!
    I don't agree with Gravelighter being as good as you say. If you badly want the sacrifice effect, I think it could be easily negated if someone decides to negate it by sacrificing a small creature in response (even in non-sac decks that run the occasional High Market or Phyrexian Tower). Sure you draw a card as a result, but it might be not worth the trade-off of not being able to get rid of a key creature. I ranked it as a card that usually would just miss being part of the 99 - simply because other cards fill a similar role more consistently.
    Other than that - I do agree with how you judged the cards, especially for playgroups that might be more combat focused! I'm surprised that I didn't see a couple of other cards like Kodama of the West Tree - that has a good floor and an insane ceiling that fits in multiple decks!

  • @chrisgebben2043
    @chrisgebben2043 2 года назад +1

    you definitely missed the biggest thing about Spirit-Sister's Call
    and thats Flicker effects. because you can flicker the thing you just brought out of the yard and it will come back into play and not be permanently exiled and comes in as a new object so it forgets about that clause of this card. Bonus is a few Flicker spells do infact target anything
    So in these colors its just too perfect for Aminatou, the Fateshifter because she flickers any type of permanent
    also the funniest thing you can use farewell for is you can just select everything then just Teferi's protection since your in white.

    • @RibusPQR
      @RibusPQR 2 года назад

    I'm quite sad they decided to do the weird multicolored "neon ink treatment" with Hidetsugu instead of with the perfect fits of Mechtitan Core and Kappa Tech-Wrecker.
    Imagine TMNT alt colored Kappa Tech-Wreckers, or Voltron alt colored Mechtitan Core and its token.
    Gravelighter is so exciting for me as an Alesha player. Fleshbag Marauder effects are _always_ on power 3 creatures, so _finally_ we have one on a power 2 creature.
    The most important part of Vessel of the All-Consuming is that it *_DOES NOT_* say "combat". As long as it is the source of *_ANY_* damage, it kills people.

    Eater of virtue doesnt work with your commander. If your commander goes to the command zone, then it's no longer exiled by Eater of Virtue. It still could be really good in voltron, but it doesn't work the way you said, I dont think.
    It's like exiling a commander with Karn liberated then restarting the game. It goes to the command zone, and it was technically exiled by karn, but you dont get control of it at the start of the game because it wasn't still "exiled by karn". It was in the command zone.
    All the same, I'm putting that in Kaalia. Basically everything in a Kaalia deck has a good modifier like that. Kaalia isn't exactly voltron, but it would be nice.

    Gravelighter is definitely not a strict upgrade to fleshbag, and I'd say its a considerably less playable card. First off, the obvious reason, if you play mass recursion effects, or have recursion that requires creature sacrifice, this creature is going to frequently draw you a card rather than kill stuff you need dead. Second, it gives your opponents a much larger window to interact with it to save their own stuff. With merciless, once it hits the table, everyone has to sac. With this, your opponent can remove this creature in response to its trigger, giving you the card draw effect. In a case where you needed this to kill a voltron commander (one of the best use cases for merciless) its going to get you killed on the crackback. When you play removal in your commander deck, you need it to reliably remove things. Taking away that reliability makes it a downgrade imo.

    I'm not sure eater of virtue would work for kathril because he puts counters on creatures and they fall off once they die. So the card in exile wont have any of those abilities, unless I'm wrong?
