    Hi Ben, you’ve got a lot to be proud of. So I didn’t have to weedeat along my stacks I used the vinegar, salt and dish soap weed killer and sprayed about a six inch strip along the stacks. Now I can quickly run my mower up through them to keep it tidy.

      @OGAOutdoors  Год назад

      Yeah I’ve used weed killers in the past I’ve just gotten behind on everything. I hope to get some out soon. Thanks for stopping by.

    Looking good Ben! I haven't seen it rain a drip of rain here in over 2 months in Oregon. I heard it rained 1/2" or so while we were in Tennessee and Georgia last month. But we weren't here to see it. Your grass is so green from the thunderstorms. I have my sprinklers going all the time. It's been 80's and 90's here for a long time now. We hit 99 a couple days ago. But not 100 yet. We sure can't wait to go back down there.

    I know the feeling of being behind. I have been behind all year on firewood production.
    This time next year i will be loading and delivering vs splitting stuff to get ut out of the way.

    Putting on and taking off implements is tough. Got my hands pinched many times getting the three point connected. I had an 8’ UFI bush hog thatI used on my tractors. It was pretty worn out when I got it. It just loved to loose its gear oil in a days cutting. I started out with 85W-90, went to 140W and finally Snapper #2 grease. The latter stayed in it more than a day. I did not just mow grass with it - I cleaned off roads and trails. Did a lot of brush burning, like you. I used the deck of the bush hog to tote stuff that I might need 100’ steel cable, chainsaw, axe, portable water spray container, ice cooler, forestry burner. My steel cable had drag hooks on each end. It gets hot in South Georgia which is the reason for the cooler. Sometimes I would stash everything in a central location and come back and get things as I needed them. I did the same thing when I was using just my four wheeler instead of the tractor. I always wore a .357 or my M1911 on my hip in a web belt with a canteen. I never went out on the farm unless I was packing - to many snakes, bob cats and coyotes and I am no cherry.

      John yeah those implements can be a pain getting hooked up. That may be the reason I didn’t use the bush hog last summer. The grease seems to do the job for now. You mentioned me not wearing gloves it’s probably because I’m out I have a hard time keeping them around. Really appreciate you watching and stopping by as always.

    I love it. Tough day. But I can’t believe you threw the black trash bags into the fire

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  Год назад

      The black bags were in pretty bad shape and there was no way I was digging those sharp branches out. Those dead shrubs were something else. I cut my arms up when I cut them down. Thanks for watching and stopping by.
