This video earned you a new subscriber! It's awesome that you point out the strength of the writing & composition. This band is a prog/core supergroup and Rabea Massaad (guitar, writing, mixing & production) has been my North Star for riff and song writing ever since I first listened to his instrumental project's (Toska's) 2nd album "Fire by the Silos". Not only was each song a journey with so much storytelling despite having essentially no lyrics save some voice-acted interludes, but the entire album itself feels like a perfect story. The album also doesn't make the mistake shared by many concept albums where the songs don't stand on their own, and instead cede to the vision of the entire album. I love a good concept album, but their tracks aren't often what I'd call "playlist songs"; you kinda have to sit down and listen to the whole thing. Toska struck a great balance with FbtS where each song served the concept, but also had a strong identity of its own in a tidy package. Shroud is incredible and it was really surprising to me as a huge fan of both Toska and Black Peaks because it has a ton grunge/alt influence and it's pretty far removed from the hard-hitting progressive metal these band members are typically known for, but man I'm so glad they went this way. I didn't know I needed this type of music in my life, so it's such a beautiful surprise. Can't wait for the EP drop on July 8th!

I just thought you might like to know that one of the guitar players, and the drummer are from the band Black Peaks, which you enjoyed on a recent reaction.

Wow! This goes any/everywhere (Don't know which one to choose, my grammatical English is not what it was before). I love those changes in rythm.

Hmm, I had to leave the video at 1:49 as I'm not comfortable with the subject matter.... So I never got to witness their second warning, or the happenings on the way to floor 7, or the 'beautiful' music which ended with static... what a shame! @5:44 if you want to skip the video and just see the reaction )lol( .... :) sorry I had some port ;p

Don't know if you take suggestions but I was wondering if you could perhaps look into the album Trust Ceremony by Jhariah?! They don't have a specific genre but I'd place it around indie/jazz/rock? Very Gerard Way inspired and I think the newest album has a lot of themes and messages to chew on as well as a very distinct sound/composition (I only did a year of AP music so I can't make specific claims about it)

You have my attention with "very Gerard Way inspired." Any specific song I should check out first?

I will say those two songs are the most "Jhariah" sound and less inspired by Way but you can tell where their music evolved from.
