I’m an old jazz and rock fan and reluctantly listened to Billie E. And I was overwhelmingly shocked how freakin’ great she is. Billie and her brother have made a major contribution toward advancing music on a epic, global scale.
She recorded Ocean Eyes at freaking 13! Welcome to the Billieverse - she is her own genre unto herself. She's done the Bond theme No Time to Die that she's won an Oscar for. And it's funny you mention clouds when she sang at the high section - in the actual video it's showing a storm cloud at that exact moment. I think she's up to 7 Grammys now. She and brother, Finneas, write and co-produce her music. Plus is absolutely amazing live.

LOL, it's perfect that you said the chorus took you to "clouds" because in the music video for this song, the chorus is literally accompanied by the image of a single cloud floating in a dark room, with little sparks of lightning crackling through it. :)

Second comment but whos counting. You'd love her older stuff, but I think you'd really enjoy reacting to her song "Happier Than Ever." The music video, of course, as with a lot of her songs, they tell a story. I tell you what, for 2 years when she came out, I wrote her off as just a cliche pop artist that probably couldn't actually even sing live. Finally, I heard a live track of hers and was absolutely stunned! Haven't looked back since! This girl is an enigma. She creates all of her music with her brother finneas, who is just as equally talented. If you want to dive into one of his solo songs, I recommend "Break my Heart Again." It's magical, truly.
