I have a bug on Electroman Adventure that can only be patched with recording: the 1st blue orb at 94% didn't want to register so I diedvmore than 3 time on this.
3:29 you forgot to mention a big portion of electroman's difficulty, which are the transitions. The transition between that mini UFO and that mini ship throws off a lot of new players, because it's also a reverse portal transition, and so there's a second or two where the player doesn't know their icon is going to be. Personally I think this is the hardest part of the level and I think it more 50/50
I personally think that it's more of a 50/50, because the end section could be a massive choke for the sudden increase in cps, even with the pulsing objects guiding you, I never noticed them in my playthrough, but the increase in cps could lead to it being more of an insane. But I do agree the last cube is a harder for sure, which leaves me at at 6 - 6
I think Robtop did the right thing rating it insane because I believe that when in doubt rate it the higher difficulty (unless it’s super far off) so it makes player feel extra accomplished instead of extra frustrated

It fits the best as being rated Tough from the More Difficulties mod, but in vanilla I think it is indeed an Insane, but on the very easy side of Insane
I think the biggest reason for rop to uprate the level is that, at the time, level from cant let go to cycles are insane and base after base was harder, and comparing base after base and electroman just doesnt really work cuz base after base is easier while cant let go or cycles to electroman makes more sense. No because they literally downgraded this one from insane to harder and then re-upgraded it back to insane after they updated all the unbalanced levels. For instance Cant Let Go used to be insane and Base After Base used to be harder.
unless i’m wrong, the let go or hold part (pillars with safe spots), have mini gameplay. Mini gameplay is sorta relatively new, only used in 2 levels prior. Meanwhile you had 9 levels before to get used to the normal gamemodes. since you already have experience with normal gamemodes robtop increases the difficulty meanwhile mini gamemodes don’t get to be as much hard. tho the easy mini ship part is debetable

Insane levels have to be consistently difficult or simply be really hard for a significant amount of time.
I think the real problem is that the star counts for robtop levels don't match custom levels. If it did, it would be a 7 star for sure. But because the only criteria we can go off for the difficulty are the faces. So it is a bit tied. But it's probably best as an insane because it matches fingerdashes difficulty
My theory is that RobTop's difficulty standards are lower than ours, so some main levels has a higher rating than its actual difficulty. But that begs another question: Why is Electrodynamix not a demon, even in 1.7?
Yeah and that was absurd so they downgraded the levels. This one however was rated insane and then downgraded to harder and then upgraded BACK to insane again.

I agree with you. It should be harder. My cousin beat electroman before he beat clutterfunk and it only took him 1 day, for context, it took him months to beat cycles and 3 days to beat xstep.
i think that if a level has some harder parts and some insane parts, it should be rated insane. it wouldnt be fun playing a harder level and getting insane gameplay, but itd be a bit of a reward to get harder gameplay in an insane level. if the difficulty gap is only 1 and maybe (just MAYBE) 2 difficulties, id say go with the hardest one
Honestly, the hardest part of this level for me was the transition from the mini ufo to the mini ship. I always used to crash there. Mini cube was kind of difficult but the rest was pretty easy. I’d go with harder.
Im an experienced player and i struggled with electroman for years. I didnt beat it until i was an adult. Its not as hard as electrodynamix. But its harder than theory of everything. That makes it insane to me

I beat it before theory of everything. I agree with robtop. And for the mini ufo part with copy + paste is also mean to go through without touching the top or bottom and ufo is harder than ship. And the mini ball at the end is hard for new players. They really need to learn it. If its completely new (so if you didnt see or play the mini ball part ever) it can be a choke point. But not for people who did play it like 100 times

I managed to be Electroman adventures in 35 attempts back when my best was back on track mind you stereo madness and back on track both took me like 500 attempts so let’s just say Electroman adventures in my opinion is a little easier than you would expect
Harder definitely, Time Machine and Cycles both felt harder than this. Also I’m pretty sure Jumper also had its rating changed so Electroman Adventures isn’t the only one
It gives you the same stars as X step which is a pretty easy insane level but still hard enough to be classified as one so I think Electroman Adventures is just barely past the insane difficulty which is why it only gives 10 stars even though it is the 13th level in the game.
I Think it's either 6-6 or insane, though it is a bout easy for the 17 level of the game. But, that could be to give people who start be beating all robtop levels like, say, riot, did, a break. Kinda like blast processing which comes after hexagon force for some reason
I think both the ending and the ball section at the end are both insane. The ball because it's hard to time ur clicks due to the mini-ness (I remember this part being kinda hard for me) and the end bit because literally every other insane robtop level has that level of gameplay for cube.

@@Riot0Venom it mostly, that at my skill level (a few easy demons here and there) felt just as dificult as clutterfunk or hexagon force (other insanes that are difinetely insane dificulty), and overall i feel that many things will feel easier to a good player (for instance, a straight-ufo wont feel as bad to a really good player because they have a better feel of physics and hitboxes and all that), not just in terms of "they will find it easier" because of course, but there is a level of familiarity and comfort with the game that is only gained by playing it a lot, for instance, you can go "dont die to the troll spike in stereo madness its not that hard just dont jump" but its not that simple for a new player. so if you are a good player it wont feel that bad, but as a new player it will 100% feel like an insane
I think it's an absolute solid insane, I beat a few demons before I beat electroman, and that already says something, maybe it's just my personal opinion because I don't really like it but still it's just an overall pretty confusing level.
